[6.0] "Was a fun opener for Dynamite. The Don Callis Family gets the win and more momentum. I'm assuming using wrestling logic that the faces will win their matches at Full Gear. Highly doubt it but it was very fun this was staged as an All - Star Tag because it did in fact feature some of the top talents in AEW. But I enjoyed the opener."
[6.0] "Good TV opener, building to Full Gear in "road to" fashion. Mark Davis has an impressive showing along the way, operating with noticeable snap after so long away. As you'd expect, he's not alone in that regard either, producing highlights within a match that wasn't short on them to begin with. ***"
[9.0] "I think wrestling fans are conditioned to expect very little of these "all star" 8 man tag matches. Personally, I didn't anticipate that it would amount to much more than a commercial for Full Gear. But I think this match went above and beyond, with nobody holding back due to the PPV around the corner. The match holds up as a viewing experience of its own, and is a testament to guys like Takeshita, Ospreay, and Ricochet in particular over-delivering in most matches. It was fun to see Ricochet selling for Brian Cage's awesome power as i haven't seen them touch since Lucha Underground, but the real highlight for me was when Ospreay and Fletcher were left the last two men standing only to go into a vicious and athletic exchange rather than the typical pull-apart of abbreviated exchange when a 1-on-1 match is already booked."
[6.0] "I didn't really like or hate this. It told the story, it had its moments and it was pretty pretty sloppy at points. It was a standard go home multi tag special."
[7.0] "I rated this match 7.0, this was a fun sprint of a match, people got to put in some cool spots, they mostly focused on the Ospreay & Fletchers story, not really using any energy toward Takeshita & Ricochet, which was odd to me. I didnt trust Mark Davis in this match, I though he might turn on Ospreay here, but he actually did not, Davis even got physical with Fletcher in this match, but where his loyalty lies I think is still in question, and I wouldnt be shocked if the turn comes at Full Gear allowing Fletcher to beat Ospreay, if that happens Davis will probably blame Ospreay hitting him with an errant hidden blade when Fletcher pulled Davis in front of him. the best spot was, Lance Archer choke slamming Ricochet over the top rope onto Will Ospreay & Mark Davis, very cool."
[6.0] "Pretty decent match. This was basically your standard multi man tag affair with a hot opening, a long heat segment on Ricochet which was pretty uninteresting and a fun closing stretch which saw the heels pick up the win after Takeshita nailed Davis with a knee. Not really much to say about this one, but it was fairly solid overall. ***"
[6.0] "i actually did enjoy this match a lot to be honest. Dont really like 2 things tho just on the outside looking in. I dont like osperay and fletcher even touching before the match. I also think it is stuoid to have osperay and ricochet team up ever because they should always be life long rivals because they will always be compared in this generation it just makes no sense for them to ever team or be friendly. Good open"
[6.0] "Messy match, but the ending was pretty good, I'm not a huge fan of those 'all star tag team' matches with a bunch of people, but this developed well some connections and storylines, I liked the little reunion between Davis and Fletcher, followed by a good sequence by Ospreay and Fletcher, the current rivals. The beginning of the match was particularly painful to watch for me, and guys like Davis, Cage and Archer looked very slow, but as I said, the final moments were thrilling and good - {**3/4}"
[8.0] "8.5 - Good structure, with Kyle and Will being the worthy centrepiece. Konosuke and Ricochet took a backseat, annoyingly implying they won't be at Full Gear. The other four showed flashes, interested to see where Hobbs gets to."
[9.0] "This match had both great heat, especially with the brawl at the beginning, but also having great work rate. One negative was that it didn't really preview the International Title match for Full Gear, despite Takeshita getting highlighted. Still Ospreay was great against Fletcher, and it was so good to see Mark Davis back."
[7.0] "Fun tag match and second best match on the show. Liked the match story and I love that Takeshita got the pin instead of Fletcher. The finish sets up Davis' heel turn which is desperately needed in this tag division. Heel Aussie Open should win the belts and bring them back to their former glory because there are more interesting singles wrestlers to push than Kyle Fletcher."
[7.0] "The main story here was Powerhouse Hobbs being out of the match for a while to sell his knee injury, but it led to the finish where Will Ospreay accidentally took Mark Davis out, and I'm fairly certain this will lead to Davis turning on Ospreay at Full Gear to go back with Kyle Fletcher. I'm glad that Konosuke Takeshita got the pin, they're keeping him as strong as possible."
