[7.0] "The first 4 matches were a snooze fest, nothing slightly positive to say, then in the middle of the card for no reason, there is one of the greatest WrestleMania matches of all time, then it goes back to a bad 12 Man Tag Team, then go back to positive with Punk vs Jericho which is a very good match. The Rock vs Cena is good but is remember because of how iconic it is. Would want to be 6.5/10, but I'll round up to 7."

[6.0] "With the exception of Sheamus/Bryan, the key moments of this Wrestlemania are genuinely compelling. Both, 'End of an Era' and the WWE Championship match, as well as 'Once in a Lifetime', are entertaining performances. Team Johnny and Team Teddy, along with Orton and Kane, are clearly in the lower middle tier, Show/Rhodes are almost there, and the Divas are definitely below that. The aforementioned opener is and remains, of course, a nuisance and even reduces the entire Royal Rumble and all the buildup to absurdity. Surprisingly, one must nevertheless acknowledge that this Mania, on the whole, actually seems a tad better than last year's. The three highlights are at least worth watching."

[7.0] "A mixed bag of a Wrestlemania. Undertaker and Triple H is a classic. Punk vs Jericho was a good contest. Rock vs Cena was wasn't a masterpiece but it did the job. Other than that the rest of the card is shocking a lot of short matches that the crowd didn't care about."

[4.0] "The crowd amplifies the main event. I doubt it would play as well as it did if I watched it on mute. Punk/Jericho is expectedly solid, but this Wrestlemania barely qualifies as a one-match card. Wrestlemanias would get better the more the company moves away from Kane, Big Show, Batista, and Triple H, who basically has his best match ever here."

"Ugh. Terrible show. Pre-Show has a throwaway and pointless tag match, and the poor Usos get their first of many pre-show instead of main card matches. Sheamus vs Bryan was terrible and a complete misread of the fans, as they clearly wanted Bryan to win and cheered him whilst seeing Sheamus as the heel, whereas WWE saw it the other way around. Even if you had to have Sheamus win, this should have been a longer match as these two guys have proved they can go great when put together. Kane vs Orton is meh, feels like a RAW match and it's boggling that Kane went over Orton. Show vs Cody is just like Kane/Orton where it feels like a TV match and the old vet won instead of the newer, younger star. The women's tag sucked but I don't think anyone expected otherwise. Taker/HHH 3 was a disappointment, as most of the match was just them hitting each other with weapons, finisher spam and Taker putting people in the Hell's Gate, their match at 27 was much better. 12 man tag was horrible and a sad misuse of some great talent - Miz, Mark Henry and R-Truth were all main eventers in 2011 and now they've been reduced to this, and for this to be Booker T's final non-Rumble WWE match is just sad. Punk and Jericho follow up this trash heap with the match of the night, great match all around. Then Brodus Clay had a terrible dancing segment and ruined everything. Then WWE did something really cool and something I wish they did more, by having 2 musical performances in between entrances corresponding to both Rock and Cena, really made the match feel hype. Then the bell rang - the crowd were really into it but this match just felt really boring to me, it goes on way too long and just makes me think 'Rock isn't as good as he used to be, or will be in 12 years time'. It also doesn't help that this match isn't for anything but bragging rights, so when Rock beats Cena I really didn't care. This show had a single excellent match (Punk/Jericho), 2 mid-good ones (HHH/Taker, Cena/Rock) and the rest is just crap. It could have been a great event if it was a 3 match card with just the above matches, but the first 2 hours of the show really drag it down. I prefer 27 as, despite a weaker main event, the undercard is much better."

[5.0] "WWE's major event of the year kicked off with a shocking result in the match between Daniel Bryan and Sheamus for the World Heavyweight Championship, which ended in just 18 seconds. Considering what these guys are capable of in the ring (their match at Extreme Rules that same year), this match was disappointing, to say the least. Nothing to rate here. Following it was the match between Randy Orton and Kane. There's not much to say about this match. There was no chemistry between the wrestlers, they were just throwing moves until the very end. A generic, unremarkable TV match. [5/10] Big Show vs. Cody Rhodes (WWE Intercontinental Championship match). Another mediocre TV match, what else to say. [5/10] Kelly Kelly & Maria Menounos vs. Beth Phoenix & Eve Torres. A bad match that clearly demonstrates what the Divas era was all about. [4/10] The Undertaker vs. Triple H ("End of an Era" Hell In A Cell match). One of the bright spots on this show. A brilliant match in every aspect, it has already become a wrestling classic. The acting, the tension, the emotion, the wrestling - everything in this match was superb. A masterpiece. [8/10] Team Johnny vs. Team Teddy. Yet another mediocre match. [5/10]. CM Punk vs. Chris Jericho (WWE Heavyweight Championship match). A good match, with psychology and good in-ring work. Nothing more was expected from these two. [7/10] The Rock vs. John Cena. Before the match, WWE decided to throw in a cringe segment with Brodus Clay. What was the point? Okay, whatever. As for the match itself, it was a decent closer for the show, but not exactly the most memorable one. [6/10] Throughout the entire show, I couldn't shake the feeling that I was watching a regular PPV, and at times even a TV-quality show. There was nothing that gave this show any significance or scale, from the production to the quality of the matches themselves. The classic match between The Undertaker and Triple H was probably the only match on the show that truly evoked a Wrestlemania atmosphere. In my opinion, it was a mediocre show. I would recommend watching the Hell in a Cell match between The Undertaker and Triple H, CM Punk vs. Chris Jericho, and the Main Event between The Rock and John Cena."

Show/Cody was bad. The divas match sucked. Taker/HHH was a classic. 12-men tag was terrible mostly. Punk/Y2J was very good. Rock/Cena was boring mostly but the finisher fest helped it to be engaging enough."

Dream match which finally came true, an incredibly emotional HIAC match and solid Punk vs. Jericho bout were a good portion of decent pro-wrestling. Rest of the show isn't worthy enough to be widely recognizable, however most of it isn't skippable when you turn this event on."

[7.0] "A show that is mostly remembered for its marquee matches that delivered and nothing more, aside from the Daniel Bryan 18-second squash. It has "Once in a Lifetime" (lmao) in The Rock vs John Cena, two generations of WWE clashing on the ring, "End of an Era" with Undertaker vs Triple H which is an epic conclusion of a 4 year saga that began with in Mania 25 with Shawn Michaels and shifted to Triple H since Mania 27, the year before. It also features CM Punk vs Jericho which is an underrated match that doesn't get talked about that much, specially because WWE didn't want to talk about it during the 9 years CM Punk was out of the company. Everything else ranges from "could've been a TV main event" to "an excuse to have a celebrity match.", nothing really memorable."

[7.0] "Back in 2012 after this show aired, I boldly said that this was the greatest WrestleMania event of all-time. While I don't think that now, WrestleMania XXVIII was certainly a very newsworthy show. The opening match with Sheamus and Daniel Bryan was barely a match as Sheamus shockingly squashed Bryan in eighteen seconds to win the World Heavyweight Champion. In the moment, it was a bafflingly annoying decision but I think few of us expected the trajectory Daniel Bryan would take after this. The Randy Orton and Kane match was very serviceable, and that is all I can say about that. Big Show getting his WrestleMania moment by beating Cody Rhodes for the Intercontinental Championship was cool but the match was very mediocre. The Divas tag match felt more like an obligation than anything else in my opinion. It did get a celebrity onto the card but the match was quite poor and that's a shame. The Hell in a Cell match between Triple H and the Undertaker was overdramatic sport-entertainment bullocks but it was awesome overdramatic sports-entertainment bullocks. What it lacked in brutality made up with superb storytelling and that near-fall where Undertaker kicked out of the Sweet Chin Music and the Pedigree is honestly one of the greatest near-falls in wrestling history. While the whole "End of an Era" billing would be completely undone with WWE rerunning in 2018, this was very fantastic stuff here. The twelve-man tag team match had absolutely no chance as it was heatless brand supremacy bullocks that ended with Team Johnny winning and more dirt being shoveled into Zack Ryder when Eve Torres unsurprisingly betrayed him. The WWE Championship match between CM Punk and Chris Jericho was a good match but I think the Chicago Street Fight they had next month was better. The main event was the much hyped and ballyhooed match between John Cena and The Rock and they delivered on it. It wasn't a technical masterpiece but it didn't need to be. Similar to the Rock/Hogan match ten years earlier, the crowd was hanging on every move for those thirty minutes and that can make a match extremely memorable. To my surprise, The Rock won as I thought this was going to an one-and-done. Unfortunately, this would led to the rematch next year that wasn't good as the first encounter. WrestleMania XXVII is nowhere near being the greatest, or even one of the greatest, but it certainly have some moments."

[7.0] "While it's not perfect, this is still a pretty good WrestleMania that time has been kind to. The opening match between Bryan and Sheamus was infuriating when this first aired, but knowing how things pan out now it doesn't do anything to hurt the show upon a rewatch. Some of the early matches don't quite feel like they belong at WrestleMania, and the two tags are underwhelming (the women's match is particularly insulting), but the big matches all deliver. The sense of spectacle that was missing from the previous year's WrestleMania is back, as the Hell In A Cell match and the main event both feel 'big time'. The WWE Title match is also pretty great, and brings something a bit different to the table that makes it stand out from the other major matches of the night. If the main event was tightened up a little bit (30 minutes was just too long, even if they did manage the time better than I would have expected) and the dire women's match was replaced with a meaningful title defence from Beth Phoenix, then this would have definitely been an 8.0 for me."

[8.0] "My first WrestleMania I watched on TV. I wasn't even aware of plots, so I watched most of matches just like brawls. I only knew the story of CM Punk and Chris Jericho, and was a huge fan of Daniel Bryan. I was angry with Daniel losing in 18 seconds, but Punk winning over Jericho softened the edges. The Rock vs. John Cena wasn't familiar to me, I had never watch The Rock before I got the Internet access, but promo video hyped me. And the match seemed to be remarkable. I knew Cena a little bit, so just because of that I supported him, although didn't feel anything after his fail. That time I also loved Cody Rhodes so much, but I felt like The Big Show was going to win. When you see wrstling show, I guess, for the fifth time, you still believe the giant guerilla will inevitably kick your S. The Undertaker and Triple H felt special. They were both old to me, but how they managed to tell the story inside the cage, just incredible"

[7.0] "Incostant WrestleMania. The important matches were excellent, HHH vs Taker is a 5 star matches and the last two were great. The rest is quite forgettable, with that awful opener, a boring IC contest and a bad ending in the Team Teddy vs Team Johnny. Divas tag match was horrific. The only match I could rewatch outside those other three is Kane vs Randy, which is however decent at best. The atmosphere was stupendous, it gave this WM a plus."

[7.0] "The undercard of this show is nothing special and I was never a fan of the WHC opener, but 3 of the last 4 matches here are fantastic. Undertaker/Triple H has phenomenal storytelling and probably the match of the night, Jericho/Punk had great wrestling and was definitely worthy of being the WWE Title match at a Wrestlemania and Rock/Cena absolutely delivered on all the hype going into with the crowd super into it from start to finish. Though I thought the dueling mini concerts before the main event, the Team Johnny match, and the Brodus Clay segment were pretty corny, the second half of the show was very good. 3.5 stars."

Punk/Jericho was my favorite match of the card but that one match is the only thing that I enjoyed on this whole show. Big Show finnaly got his wrestlemania moment after way to long so that was one of the rare nice to see on this card aswell. I remember being really young (around 7 at the time)watching this Mania live, and it being the first Mania I watched where I thought it was not worth the money at all. Like genuinely can u name me more then 3 matches off this card? I didnt think so. In my opinion the most disappointing Mania in history"

[6.0] "If you only remember the big matches of this night, Wrestlemania 28 is one of the greatest of all time. All three of the major main events deliver in one way or the other, and all three are incredibly memorable. They make it very easy to look at this PPV and hold it with amazingly high esteem. After all, they are the important matches, and they did their job, so why not? Because the undercard is almost as mediocre as the main events are great. So to me, all of that needs to be taken into consideration when rating a show as a full show, and not individual matches (which I also rate.) Team Johnny vs. Teddie is a shocking waste of time done simply to give guys a payday that worked hard that year that they had no real match for. The Divas tag match was quite bad, and while Big Show and Cody was emotional, it certainly isn't a highlight. Plus, we can't ignore the early blunder of Daniel Bryan being dispatched in seconds. This is a show I imagine many people just come back to to match the big three main event matches. I can't imagine most people putting this whole event on and being on the edge of their seat the whole time. Still, the main events deliver, and hold the card up strong. Since none of the undercard was awful, the entire show ends up being an above average event. It's worth the time to watch, but at the same time, you might just want to stick with the highlights."

"I have a soft spot in my heart for this show as it is the first WrestleMania I watched as a kid, but im not going to act like there wasnt some stinky stinky matches on this show. The opener looking back at it was a very big help to the story of Danielson, but in a vacuum is just a baffling burial of World Champion on the biggest show of the year. Kane vs Orton was nothing, Show vs Cody was nothing but did finally give Show a positive Mania moment. The womens tag was horrific, but is immediately followed up by one of my favorite matches of all time. I can see why some people dont rate this match like I, as it is a very long, slow, dramatic match from these guys, but to me it just feels like the perfect culmination of all these guys careers up to this point. So much drama (but in a good way? ) molten hot crowd and crazy near falls. To me, this is where the streak shouldve ended, as this truly does feel like the end of the road for these guys as peak performers, and while both Taker and HHH would have a few more good-great matches after this, it almost feels like this is THE final chapter for their careers. The Raw vs Smackdown tag wasnt good and just feels like a sad way for Teddy Longs run as Smackdown GM to end. Punk vs Jericho was pretty good but almost felt like it was just a bit off what these guys really could do. Rock vs Cena was really fun even though it went quite long, but this match is all about the atmosphere and star power. Both guys gave it their all, and I love/hate the finish as this was the peak of my Cena fandom. Little did I know Cena losing would cause there to be a 2nd match between these two which was not as good or as fun as this one. This whole show really is carried by the overall aesthetic and vibes, along with the few amazing matches, which really masks this card being quite mediocre for the most part."

After that Kane and Orton have a serviceable but uninteresting bout that could've just been on TV (5/10) Big Show got his mania moment against Cody and the video package showing his silly moments was funny but the match itself is short and dull (4/10) Women's tag is just bad, not the worst but bad (3/10) Taker/Triple H is awesome I do prefer their match at 27 slightly but End of an Era was super memorable and the cage coming down with Metallica in the background is just awesome (9/10). Team Johnny Vs Team Teddy is just dull and forgetable filler and the Ryder burial still pisses me off (3/10) Jericho/Punk is really good back and forth wrestling and the second highlight of the night. Brodus clay and Flo Rida should not have been on this card wasting time. And finally Cena/Rock is a mid match that could've benefitted from being way shorter. Overall the two good matches do a lot of work carrying the show to being watchable and at least there wasn't any dumpster fire"

[5.0] "This built around three big matches that deliver in their own ways but aren't enough to carry a drag of a show, this just didn't have the legs to go 4 hours. You could argue every single match bar the opener drags on too long - I know WWE likes to tell us that Bryan getting squashed was essential to his rise, which is... debatable, but there's plenty of time to be trimmed and given to him and Sheamus that would've helped this out. That's not even getting into the damn concerts before the main event or the Brodus Clay segment. Orton/Kane and Show/Rhodes are decent, just giving some vets a nice win. The tag matches are nothing. I'll have to go back to the Hell in a Cell and WWE Championship matches and hope I like them more next time; they weren't bad, just didn't hit for me much. The main event is definitely too long but it's solidly entertaining, just racking up big moves in front of a hot crowd and the upset of Rock's win (despite the odd decision to cast him as the favourite). They really put all the bells and whistles on this one to tell you it's a massive event, and if you really dig the three main matches then it might live up to that, but this was more average for me."

Even then, HHH/Taker went too long and had too many problems to call it an all-timer but for what it was, I still found it great. Sheamus/Bryan was, well, yeah it happened. Kane/Orton and Big Show/Cody was meh, the women's match was a letdown given the finish, the 12 man tag had a boring setup despite a lot of guys trying in it and even Punk/Jericho felt disappointing given what could've been between those two. The match between CM Punk and Y2J for the WWE Championship is really very good with a lot of technique and very good moves. The nostalgia of the music and the stadium hits me and MOST of these matches are so memorable like The Rock vs John Cena which was so amazing but sadly that one was repeated with a worse effect to it. Or Sheamus vs Daniel Bryan which started the YES! movement. Or the 12 man tag match, can't go wrong with one of those. Kane vs Randy Orton was ok, but it felt like something I've already seen so many times before. The Big Show vs Cody Rhodes match was also pretty average, but I still enjoyed it somewhat. The women's match was pretty forgettable, so I can't speak much about it. And finally, the End Of An Era match. It was the most beautiful thing I have seen in the world of pro-wrestling. It's something you can show to any non-wrestling fan and say "this is pro wrestling" because it was the end of 3 men's story (Ahem *cough* HHH and Undertaker *cough*) And as a side note, Undertakers look in this match was amazing. He felt human, which just added to the story. Overall, I rate this an 8/10."

For a regular WWE show, I guess it was okay, but this one was on the track of being one of the most solid WWE match cards of all time, and I guess it didn't made it justice back then."

The Hell in a Cell match is yet another legendary match for Undertaker at mania and was packed with drama and action. That was the best match of the show. Punk vs Jericho was second best. Rock vs Cena was long but also felt very big and I was never bored. Therefore I really liked it and it was third best. Another good match was Team Johnny vs Team Teddy. That match had lots of good names and a lot of fun spots and action. Even some of the lesser matches were good to me. Orton vs Kane was decent and had a good reaction from the crowd by the end. Big Show vs Cody Rhodes was short but I enjoyed it and was pretty solid and it was cool to see Big Show win the IC title at mania. Women's tag team match wasn't the greatest but it was serviceable. I thought Eve was alright in it and I liked how they worked over Menounos' real rib injury in the match. Phoenix brought the match down for me when she was in. The worst match was Daniel Bryan vs Sheamus simply because there was vertually nothing. Some of the segments I liked were The Team Johnny segment in the back which was great because it was funny. That really was quite a team. I also liked the performances before the main event which were actually good."

[4.0] "Echoing what seems to be the overriding sentiment, this is essentially a three match show. It's hard to know what the idea behind the first match was, especially considering Sheamus and Bryan would go on to have a fantastic match at the next PPV. Orton v Kane & Big Show v Cody weren't terrible by any means, but nothing special or "mania" worthy in my eyes. The Divas tag and the twelve man tag were both very bad. All that being said, the "End of an Era" match between Taker and HHH was really great, definitely worth being seen. I loved the drama and emotion of it. Punk & Y2J had a good match as well, although I always expected better from them. I thought the finish was very good and made a lot of sense. Rock v Cena, well, hyped as the biggest match of all time with two erroneous concerts held before each man entered the ring, it was fine. There was no way it would ever live up to the hype that was put onto this match. That being said, I didn't hate it. Not a classic by any means, nor is it the greatest match of all time, but I do think it's worth seeing if you haven't already. All in all, this show had a horrible undercard, and probably only has three matches worth seeing."

[4.0] "Just rewatched the whole show, really liked Punk/Jericho (even better than I remembered) but a lot of the show did not seem very good 4 years removed. Taker/HHH III was plagued by a slow pace and too much over the top melodrama in place of action, and Rock/Cena is just way too damn long without anything really interesting going on in the match besides two big names clashing for the first time. Once that novelty wears of, the match really drags. The rest of the show doesn't fare well either, the choice to squash Bryan in the opener utterly kills the crowd for the entire first hour, not that there is a whole lot to look at there anyway. The divas tag in particular is pretty awful, matches like that are the reason we needed a revolution in the first place. The 12 man tag is such an obvious throwaway just to put some guys on the card, the shame is that a lot of those guys were having great years and could have done a hell of a lot more. But no, instead we have no less than three full length musical numbers and a bewildering segment where Brodus Clay dances at length with a crew of women with grey wigs and fake butts, his "momma's bridge club" apparently. If you're looking for the best of 2012, skip this show and head straight to Chicago for Extreme Rules."

Despite this sort of negative feedback, all WM28 is was 3 great matches in Undertaker vs HHH, Punk vs Jericho and Rock vs Cena. Not the best Mania but it's HIAC match is one of the most memorable."
