Ich fand es war vom Feeling, der Atmosphäre und auch von den Matches her eine Gute WrestleMania, auch wenn hier einiges an Bullshit mit dabei gewesen ist. Man kann auch nicht jedes Menschen Geschmack treffen. Del Rio vs. Edge um den World Heavyweight Championship startet diesen PPV und das Match war echt Gut für'n Opener. Vielleicht hätte es noch 5 - 10 Minuten länger gehen können als "World Championship Match", aber das war schon ganz Okay (***1/2). Auch Cody Rhodes vs. Rey Mysterio war Gut. Vielleicht an der falschen stelle der Card, aber absolut in Ordnung (***). Das Eight Man Tag Team Match danach ist dann völliger Quatsch. Und sowas steckt man auf eine Mania Card? Nein, absoluter Schwachsinn. Man hätte dem Match hier ruhig 10 Minuten geben können. Oder 5 - 6, aber knapp 2 Minuten und sowas bei WrestleMania? Absoluter Quatsch. Hoffe das der jenige der auf die Idee kam damals direkt rausgeschmissen wurde. Wenn Ich schon mal dabei bin gehe Ich auch direkt auf die 0er Matches ein: Michael Cole vs. Jerry Lawler war sowieso absoluter Schwachsinn. Aber mit Stone Cold hat man somit wieder einen WrestleMania Moment geschaffen. Das Co-Main Event Match auch auf der absolut falschen Stelle der Card und auch überhaupt nicht notwendig gewesen, es auf eine Mania Card zu packen. Absoluter Schwachsinn und Ich kann absolut verstehen das diese 3 Matches alle so schlecht bewertet wurden. Dennoch bin Ich der Meinung das diese Matches nicht DIE GESAMTE Mania Show so schlecht machen. Dafür war hier auch viel zu viel Gutes dabei. Randy Orton vs. CM Punk zum Beispiel. Das Match fand Ich persönlich besser als es hier im Matchguide wegkommt. Der RKO zum Finish war Mega und definitiv ein "WrestleMania Moment" (***3/4). Natürlich ist dann Undertaker vs. Triple H das Match Of The Night. Ein Einfach fantastisches No Holds Barred Match, was man als Wrestling Fan definitiv gesehen haben muss. Das Match IST einfach WrestleMania (****3/4). The Miz und John Cena im Main Event um den WWE Championship war dann auch einfach an der falsche Card stelle. Natürlich will man den Main Championship auch im Main Event haben. Aber hier hätte Ich das Match eher als Co-Main Event gezeigt und Undertaker vs. Triple H in den Main Event gesteckt. Das Match leidet halt auch mega an der Stimmung im Stadion die mal absolut gar nicht da war. Erst wo The Rock rauskam, kam im Stadion wirklich Stimmung auf. Ich gebe der gesamten WrestleMania von 2011, 7 Punkte. Natürlich war hier viel Schwachsinn mit dabei, aber man kreierte hier auch einige bemerkenswerte WrestleMania Momente. Die Atmosphäre und die Stimmung war hier bis zum Main Event echt stark und der Georgia Dome hatte schon was interessantes an sich. |

Cody vs Mysterio is a very good match. The Corre tag match is horrible and pointlessly buried an up and coming faction for no reason. Orton vs Punk is pretty good though. Cole vs Lawler is overhated and Heel Michael Cole isn't that bad, it was a good way to cool the crowd down and ultimately no one was hurt by this match, unlike the Corre one. Taker vs HHH is excellent and easily match of the night, and as much as people hated Triple H this match is so good that people would probably be okay with him breaking the streak. The Mixed tag sucked but cooled down the crowd to prepare for the main event. Miz vs Cena kinda sucked, especially the ending, and was basically just a way to setup Rock vs Cena. This show is a lot more 'watchable' than other bad Manias as it somehow has really good pacing, with the shitty short matched being used to cool off the crowd and get them ready for the next big match. I think if HHH vs Taker closed the show people would look upon this show more fondly, as Miz vs Cena leaves a bad taste in your mouth. I think this could be a pretty solid Mania if the card was simply restructured whilst keeping everything else the same. |

And because all these negative experiences are the first things I have to think about when it comes to this event, it's no longer a decent show for me. Being able to score only four points at Wrestlemania hurts me personally. It's a shame. |

The main event and The Streak match are horrible. Cole and Lawler is unwatchable, Snooki appears and wastes Trish Stratus, and you have an 8 man tag that doesn't even get 2 minutes. It's easier to ask what DID go right in this event. The answer is very little. Edge vs. Del Rio and Punk vs. Orton are the only remotely memorable matches on this card, and neither of them are good enough to warrant a rewatch of the event, let alone saving it. It seems unbelievable to say a Wrestlemania is skippable, but there's truly nothing "Wrestlemania-like" about this event. Maybe not an unwatchable show, but it comes pretty close. |

The entire show is an overly padded affair with dumb Snoop Dogg segments and the Rock meandering around during the height of his "I'm back but I've seriously lost my spark and it feels rote and joyless" run that he did in the whole two year (ugh) Cena feud. Speaking of overly padded and awful, there's of course the Lawler-Cole match, which is almost certainly the all time worst Wrestlemania match as an agonizing 30 minute segment that no one could possibly enjoy. While that is by far the nadir of the show, it's also surrounded by the dumb nothing Corre match, the dumb corny Snooki match, the awkward and let down main event, and a lot of other matches that really never reach above the level of "fine." Other than completionism, wanting to see the Triple H-Taker match, or a morbid desire to punish yourself (hi there, it's me), there's no reason to really watch this show. |

The Undertaker and HHH tore the house down in their stellar No Holds Barred match. It was intense, dramatic, and the crowd was into all of it. Sadly, the same can't be said for the main event. Miz and Cena put on a boring, heatless match that was just there to set up Rock/Cena the next year. Congratulations on the win Miz, a third wheel in his own world title match. Del Rio proved his Rumble win pointless in an average match with Edge, Cody Rhodes got a solid victory over Rey Mysterio, and Punk/Orton put on a solid match even if Orton winning was the safe choice. Less safe was putting Cole and Lawler out there for over 15 minutes in an achingly bad match. We also got to see Snooki wrestle, and that's what Wrestlemania is really all about. Overall, Wrestlemania 27 is a piss poor show that invalidates its own existence as the next Mania is much better. |

Triple H vs. The Undertaker is one of my favourite WrestleMania matches of all time, and most of the midcard matches are fairly solid (albeit, they largely do not feel WrestleMania worthy), particularly Punk vs. Orton. However, this show also has arguably the worst WrestleMania match of all time in Michael Cole vs. Jerry Lawler, and a match that is at the very least a contender for worst WrestleMania main event of all time. It's atrociously booked and ends the show on one of the most sour notes possible. I'd love to give this show a higher rating because I consider Triple H vs. The Undertaker to be an absolute classic and iconic WrestleMania moment, but it's hard to feel any more positive about the event as a whole by the time the PPV ends, and the majority of the night is missing that sense of grandeur and spectacle that you'd hope to see from WrestleMania.. I'd recommend skipping the dreadful Cole vs. Lawler match then just turning the show off entirely after Triple H vs. The Undertaker - that way you get a punchy 2-ish hour event with some good action. Viewed in its entirety? This was a bit of a bust and definitely needed a lot of work to live up to the WrestleMania branding. |
