[5.0] "A rather lackluster event in my opinion; it's not bad and is worth watching, but the first hour is literally filler and a waste of time. The rest is solid, featuring a great main event and a very good Takagi vs. Castagnoli match; Gabe Kidd vs. Moloney isn't a bad bout, but the error with the pinfall really ruined it."

"This was an entertaining and exciting event from New Japan. The main event was wonderful with Yota Tsuji and Hirooki Goto and I particularly enjoyed watching Shun Skywalker!"

I even thought the global title match was fine despite the ref botch. All the members of the tmdk match could be better served in more prominent matches so I'll be looking forward to that. B-."

[5.0] "Not the worst show you'll ever see but a bit of a chore to get through. I found myself zoning out often and didn't care about any of the results by the time the matches got there. It's not terrible, just very standard, to the point that even the fairly good matches are still generic good matches. You could skip this and miss nothing, really, especially as far as Wrestle Kingdom implications go."

[5.0] "Most of this show was just plain boring. The Shingo v Claudio match was passable. The main event was dull. The nadir of the show was the semi-main with a rather apparent botched kickout or count. The second match also had a bizarre, apparently premature, finish in which Gedo evidently got concussed and didn't kick out."

[7.0] "It was a good event, nothing out of this world. Some good matches like the main, Taichi and Wolf vs Zack and Oiwa, the unc-off with Shingo and Claudio. Jeff Cobb and Newman put on a solid showing too. Take v Shun and Kidd v Drilla left more to desire."

[5.0] "The undercard was really disappointing. Most of the matches barely scrape a passing grade. The overall effort felt really low. Shingo vs. Claudio was the match of the night and one of the best matches of the month: hard-hitting, well-paced, and given just the right amount of time. The main event was good too, but perhaps a little overrated: the match took a while to get going, and at times the action felt a bit sloppy. It might have benefited from being slightly shorter."

[8.0] "A very filler undercard, some good matches with Zack Sabre Jr and Ryohei Oiwa vs Taichi and Aaron Wolf, or Shingo Takagi vs Claudio Castagnoli. And a wonderful main event between Hirooki Goto and Yota Tsuji for the IWGP Heavyweight Title."

[8.0] "Awesome show overall. The card started off with some fun tag matches, and from the TMDK vs. Taichi & Wolf match onward, it just kept getting better. Takeshita vs. Shun was insane, Cobb vs. Newman was really strong, Shingo vs. Claudio was absolutely exceptional, and while Kidd vs. Drilla could've been a lot better, the main event was incredible. And the craziest part? King of Pro-Wrestling is probably going to be even better lol."

[5.0] "I like to be positive, wherever possible. The main event is really good. Tsuji looks good but Goto is fucking awesome. His desperation always gets me that maybe, just maybe he might sneak a win. Shingo & Claudio is a blast, too. Oiwa & Taichi had some great exchanges in their tag. Otherwise, oomph. The other three singles matches on this are not good. Really, really not good. Rough. **1/2."
