Fenix vs Saints was pretty cool, Bella vs Paige and Green vs Jax were disgrace to the women's division, but at least Chelsea is still champion. War Raiders vs Priest and R-Truth was just okay and Zayn vs Punk was really good, there were interferences but as I thought Punk was going to win, seeing Zayn win is definitely a breath of fresh air. Crowd was electric and it carried all the way throughout the show. |
| 13 | 17.09.2026 | 00fishman | 4.0 | The main event makes it look a lot better than it was. Overall, it was boring. Ricky gave Rey one of his most boring matches in awhile; Chelsea and Nia stunk up the place w a terrible botch at the end, and the Damien turn just feels creatively bankrupt, esp since HES the one who said it'd be their last match together before the match even happened. Oh and I completely forgot about Paige and Nicki's divas era tribute match. The Punk match is one of his best I've seen in a minute, very well sequenced and a deserved title win for Sami, (unfortunately seems to be a transitional reign) but that shock kinda makes the entire show seem far better than it actually was. |

| 28 | 15.09.2026 | TomTakagi | 6.0 | Randy Orton kicks off Smackdown with a quick promo, he's got his eyes set on #15 and has the killer instinct that Cody doesn't. I'll cut them some slack because of the hot crowd, but WWE really don't like having him be a fully-fledged heel, do they? Opening match was good (7), no more, no less. Crowd were into everything Rey Fenix did, as you'd expect. Sami cuts a backstage promo about needing to beat CM Punk himself before Johnny Gargano interrupts him to tell Zayn he gets a shot if he wins. I'm a big fan of Johnny Gargano and, whilst he won't settle in in the main event picture, I like that he's being used at least. Nikki steals a win over Paige after basically getting her arse kicked for the full 3 minutes and 22 seconds. Paige brought good intensity until she decided to mock Nikki with her taunt, which didn't make sense to me. Just punch her in the face. Blissfully short. Trick Williams is over in Mexico (shock) and did a decent job of cutting a promo on a football. Teases winning MITB and brings out Lil Yachty, or rather introduces him before Baron Corbin drags him out. So that feuds continues. Trick is good, but he isn't good enough to carry Corbin to a good match. Corbin attacked Trick with the Trick Stick so hopefully we'll at least get a stip next time around. Finn Balor and Gunther also want the WWE Championship in what is an absolutely stacked title picture right now. Women's Championship match happened (4) and unfortunately Nia is back to her worst after her improved 2025. Punk cut a promo with more references to the altitude than the England match at the World Cup. AAA Tag Team Championship match was almost a complete nothing burger (5) save one impressive AA. Heel turn is long overdue though I can't honestly say I see Priest doing much in the coming months. Tatum and Charlotte might have their eyes on the Tag Championships. I think and hope this settles out to Charlotte going heel and singles, and Paxley and Bliss becoming a more permanent fixture of the tag team division. Ricky Starks feigned sportsmanship backstage before leaving Fenix lying. Then it was timmmmeee for the main event (8). Good wrestling match with work on the knee (Sami to Punk) and hand (vice versa) before a clusterfuck finish that worked because of the nature of the Championship picture right now. Finish elevated it, but not the show enough to be above a 6. |

WWE came to Mexico for the first time since I started to watch wrestling and they made a call for matches, but it's not worked as everyone wanted. We saw a good start with Randy Orton's promo and intresting Fenix vs Saints match, but the half of an episode was "just ok". Damian Priest heel turn gave me a hope that this show can be cool and the maun event not disappointed me. Title match was even better than I expected and Sami's triumph was a huge surprise. SmackDown is on fire now, but this episode wasn't great. |
| 33 | 14.09.2026 | Martin Chircoff | 8.0 | A very good show, a few months ago penta was my favorite champion and no× is his brother, another amazing match and one that I hope helps Ricky saints, i don't usually like him, but he could be a really good heel in the future, j want more of Nikki vs Paige, in a way its good that the match was so short since it allows them to wrestle again, both of them clearly know how to fight each other. I like that Chelsea won, i wouldn't have been able to stand a Nia Jax reign, shame for the botch at the end but the match wasn't that bad, it wasn't great, but I wasn't awful.and finally they do something different with Damian, shame that his reign as champions with r truth was bad because rhat moment could have been really good, but now I just hope Damian goes to aaa, smackdown clearly doesn't have space for him, and if he stays in smackdown I just hope that it isn't to out him in a feud with drew (if he is still with the company). Finally and again thank God there is a new champion, I don't know how to feel about cm punk reign, seeing Johnny wrestling return is awesome, he only had good matches, but he kicked out of things that made no sense, cm punk looked like an invincible wrestler, and now with Sami they can do the funniest thing, imagine if he loses next week, a 9 day reign followed by a 7 day reign, i want to see next smackdown which is something that the blue band hasn't made me do in a while |

Solid matches as well which is not always a given in the WWE, Fenix/Saints was solid, even Chelsea/Nia wasn't completely terrible (apart from the finish), the AAA Tag Title match was good as well and the WWE Title main event was an amazing match that progressed storylines and we had a title change! The world title scene in SmackDown is super interesting and fresh with many many people involved, even Johnny Gargano! We had Damian Priest's obvious but needed heel turn as well. |

| 40 | 13.09.2026 | sobredosis | 6.0 | A decent episode carried by a strong Cruiserweight title match and a very good WWE Championship main event. The world title scene feels especially healthy right now, with Sami Zayn surrounded by several credible challengers, while Damian Priest's heel turn and the continuation of Ricky Saints versus. Rey Fenix both give the show some useful direction. On the other hand, Paige versus. Nikki Bella felt completely expendable, and Chelsea Green versus. Nia Jax was easily the low point. |
| 41 | 13.09.2026 | father in law | 7.0 | [6.5] decent SD, not very good but all right, Yes of course skipping female wrestling here coz I didn't expect much from Bella vs Paige and they managed to disappoint me still, broken Chelsea couldn't provide good match but it's obvious. Heel turn Priest in Mexico while he's focusing on AAA now was great. After terrible Corbin booking at snme we're continuing it so male midcard is completely closed to 2-3 wrestlers now. I didn't like Punk vs Sami at first due to focus on injured parts but ending was satisfying for me. Mixed episode, some parts and moments were good, some absolute mid, boring and unnecessary. |

| 53 | 13.09.2026 | skyh1ghr | | [7.0] It's an alright episode of 'SmackDown' with one of the best crowds in Mexico City. Randy Orton opening the program with that pop, it was good, especially his promo aiming for his 15th title reign. The AAA World Cruiserweight Championship title match between Rey Fenix and Ricky Saints/Starks was actually good--while I get that Saints' pose is part of his gimmick as a heel, it's too distracting which doesn't help, and I definitely loved Fenix in that match, he deserves that kind of push lately, even if it's for an AAA title. The Nikki-Paige match was meh, too short yet I loved how Paige mocked Nikki with that dance. But I wish that feud should end for good since Nikki won more matches than Paige and we move on with Giulia-Blake Monroe feud that's must-see TV. The Trick-Corbin promo was nothing to note about, but I liked that he connected well with the CDMX crowd. The WWE Women's Championship title match between Chelsea Green (finally, a permanent/lineal champ) and Nia Jax was fine, nothing much to talk about, other than the right woman won. Same with the AAA World Tag Team Championship title match between War Raiders and Wepa Up (Damian Priest and R-Truth), it's fine too. Damian turning heel on Truth in CDMX is the perfect time; I wonder what's next for Damian now that he's back in singles competition as a heel? The main event between CM Punk and Sami Zayn, it was good, even with the selling of the faux leg injury of Punk that felt too much and sloppy pace. The interference from Johnny Gargano, Candice LeRae, and Kevin Owens were too much. Sami taking the WWE Championship title, plus the heat from the raging crowd of Arena CDMX at the end made it even better. |

| 58 | 13.09.2026 | iakovoss23 | | [5.5] An above-average edition of Smackdown, airing live for the first time in 15 years in Mexico, with a rather loaded card that ultimately underdelivered, apart from the WWE title main event between CM Punk and Sami Zayn and its surprise result, which was the only major talking point coming out of this show. A great and energetic crowd that was engaged throughout the show and in what was happening, finally for a WWE live show this year, since Americans can't be asked to put on some atmosphere for something they're paying for, and they elevated the show quite a bit, the best they could, but still couldn't bring the show to even a decent level. Once again, WWE just can't deliver on a "big-show" feel as a whole, even with 4 title matches advertised, albeit 2 of them are AAA's, and will rely solely on the main event, as evident in this show, which the crowd definitely deserved better than that. Most of the show was filled with wrestling, where the opener and main event matches were good, and the middle part was mostly typical piss poor Smackdown slop, and the 2 segments did basically nothing of interest to progress storylines in the show. Smackdown may be having a mostly stacked, exciting and unpredictable men's main event scene after Summerslam, but literally every other division in this show is in a dire situation and lacks depth, is not booked as important, and you can even say it's basically dead. Also, this show looked a lot better than usual, without any mat sponsors and LED overkill, and it even got a new theme song from a new TI song, which may not have been the most fitting or even the best option from what I heard, at least, but thank god we do not have to hear the previous one ever again. Show opens with a Randy Orton promo segment. Pretty basic promo with nothing outstanding, talking about no one stopping him on his way to winning number 15. Don't get me wrong, Orton is great at promos, but he was not given much to work with here, and it was not something to start the show with a bang. Rey Fenix vs Ricky Saints. Aw dude. Did they have to open Twitter to see Ricky all over it in a meme from one of his promos in AEW before finally using him? There's 0 reason for him to not be used on Smackdown since freaking late June. Really decent match, would've liked it to go a bit more. Don't know why, all of a sudden, Ricky has been fixated on Rey's AAA title and has been showcased only in online backstage segments for so long, but he needs to re-enter the US title scene. The show takes a nosedive from here. Nikki Bella vs Paige. 3 minutes. We need a Divas revolution, because this was awful. Are we in 2014/2015? Because I don't think the entire women's divisions on both brands have been in a worse position since then. Awful finish, and the match was rushed, as if even they didn't want it to be in there. They wanted to give us this match now for a feud that started at freaking Summerslam, barely got featured, and nobody cared throughout it. Baffled that they decided to advertise this, as well as the women's title match. Trick Williams in a promo segment, pantering to the Mexican crowd and celebrating becoming 2x US champ. He brought out Lil Yatchy to come to the celebration, but after minutes of waiting, Corbin eventually came out, dragging a beaten-down Yatchy down the entrance ramp, who evaded Trick and then attacked him. 4th time. 4TH. I don't know how many fucking times I get to voice my displeasure with the current booking of the US title with Corbin in the mix. It has been horrendous since Melo lost it to Sami before WM. You have numerous talents from the midcard, but also some from the main event, who could be featured and challenge for the title, and you decide to have a returning Baron fucking Corbin of all people, have his 4th match with Trick in 1.5 months in this back-and-forth US title debacle? Not one of their 3 matches was even decent, and they want to run it back for a 4th time and have it happen over Melo, which was supposed to be at SS and didn't happen even once. This company is mind-bogglingly fucking nonsensical. Chelsea Green vs Nia Jax was awful. What else can I say when Nia Jax is in the ring? Finish was absolutely horrendous. Feel bad for Chelsea, as this was her first opponent in her title reign. Don't know what could be next for her, as the rest of the women's division is either in tag team purgatory or not featured at all. Blake & Giulia should've been in this show, when these were the women's matches we were given here and where WWE would rather have Nia Jax & Jade Cargill wrestle and be featured often instead. I'll say it again, despite being featured for a fairly large and prominent amount of time on Smackdown, especially after WM, the women's division is completely devoid of interest or momentum, hasn't elevated any talent at all, and has been booked with no actual care. War Raiders vs Priest & Truth. Really basic tag match, and just what you'd expect for the 8 minutes given. Truth is again the one in the losing position, as he eats the pin. This leads to Priest finally turning on him after many frustrating results. Not at the edge of my seat for stuff like this, but eager to see where Priest heads if he stays on Smackdown. Main event WWE title match, Punk vs Sami was good, but definitely not as great as I thought their match on Raw 2 months ago was when Punk won it. Throughout it, Punk was selling the knee while Sami was selling the wrist, which led to a more methodical match and thus a bit slower. Still, Sami winning it was not something I thought would ever happen again, especially here. Didn't mind the late interferences, which mostly made sense. This adds even more unpredictability and an even bigger range of challengers to an already rather chaotic WWE title in 2026. Hot-potatoing the title more often would be overkill. I appreciate stuff like this happening on weekly TV. Sami really deserves this, with an actual reign this time. |

| 66 | 12.09.2026 | robbyplaha | 6.0 | This episode was very decent to me. I did enjoy the AAA World Cruiserweight Title Match, and I enjoyed the Undisputed WWE Title Match. I loved how the Main Event Scene for the Undisputed WWE Title is very active, with so many great wrestlers wanting the title that Sami Zayn now has. The low point was the Paige and Nikki Bella match, where I thought it would've been fine to be off the show. Chelsea Green and Nia Jax's match was very poor, as I thought this match was terrible, and the ending of the match was awful. Now, some of the other solid points: Damian Priest turned heel for the first time since July of 2024, so now he can be a valuable heel for the Main Event Scene, and Ricky Saints is going to continue his feud against Rey Fenix, which I'm very happy about. Overall decent show. |
| 67 | 12.09.2026 | Benzo92 | 5.0 | Main event was very good and I was glad to see Sami win the title back but the rest of the show was pretty rough. Nikki Bella/Paige felt like a Divas match, AAA tag title match wasn't very good, opener was underwhelming and Chelsea/Nia predictably was pretty terrible. Someone said the other day Smackdown has a main event scene and absolutely nothing else and that sounds about right to be honest. 5/10 for a good main event, the world title switch and splitting Truth and Priest. |

To be honest, I don't think the Bellas can wrestle well nowadays. Chelsea Green vs. Nia Jax was boring too. I don't find Nia funny to watch. The tag match wasn't good, but at least the heel turn was something new. The main event was entertaining and well performed. The title change was actually unexpected. |
| 72 | 12.09.2026 | new era lover | 8.0 | Tonight's SmackDown was a really enjoyable show overall and definitely felt like one of the stronger episodes in recent weeks. The Mexico City crowd deserves a lot of credit, bringing incredible energy throughout the night and making several moments feel even bigger. The matches delivered a good mix of action, storytelling, and surprises. The shocking title change, Damian Priest's turn, and the overall atmosphere kept me entertained from start to finish. Not everything was perfect, but the crowd helped elevate the show massively. 8/10. |

As for the match itself [****.25], everything was so damn good and felt like a strategically perfect built bout. Both guys fighting through their injuries told a great story about Punk being a fighting champion and wrestling through injuries and Sami being stubborn enough to even fight with an injured wrist to get his title back. Great stuff, despite all the interferences both guys were able to do something special for a TV Match. All three matches between them have been TV classics, this trilogy will live on in my heart forever. Punk has reached a flow state right now and it warms my heart seeing him do what he loves weekly. Excited to see where everything goes from here. Fairs, Trips.. (Didn't really catch anything else from the show just saw some clips) |

Afterwards, the crowd is put in a positive mood for the rest of the night with a luchador victory for Rey Fenix, before Nikki Bella shows that, after what feels like twenty years in the business, she isn't one bit better than she was on her first day. Trick Williams celebrates a title change that I absolutely didn't need. At least Corbin feels the same way. As predicted, Truth & Priest lose yet another title match, and as expected, Priest makes his turn. That's necessary if he wants to catch the last train back to relevance. By the way, Ricky Saints isn't done with Rey Fenix just yet. And then, in the end, Sami Zayn pulls off the big coup after all. Plus, with Owens and Gargano, we now have performers with decent talent in the expanded title picture. From start to finish, this is a solid show, but it does have a few rough patches to get through in between. |

Rey Fenix vs Ricky Saints: They had a just under 10 minutes sprint of a match that could have had a bit more time as they had some decent in ring sequences and both had the control advantage but could have done a bit more but overall a fine TV match [**3/4]. Nikki Bella vs Paige: Considering they had some build to this match, it delivered not that good and had limited time and Bella cheating to win was not surprising but ridiculous, this match reminded me of the divas era back in the 2010s [DUD]. Chelsea Green vs Nia Jax: While this match had a David v Goliath dynamic about it, the match was just simply not that good, Green retaining was good to see and the right decision and Jax just had a sloppy showing [*1/2]. Erik & Ivar vs Damian Priest & R-Truth: This was a fine match for the AAA World Tag Team Titles, The War Raiders continue to show that they can defend the titles against any team with Priest and R-Truth putting in a fine showing, the outcome was kind of obvious though [**1/2]. Sami Zayn vs CM Punk: The title change may have surprised me, the interferences towards the end were not needed, Zayn and Punk had a good main event contest for the Undisputed WWE Title which both obviously had a weak point with Zayn and his hand/wrist and Punk and his leg so there were targeting limbs which was a fine approach [***3/4] |
