[8.0] "It was a good enough event. The main event was the best match for me and it was very good. The semi final match was also very good in the part of wrestling but why happened? Kidd suppose to hate New Japan now so why he wanted to have a title match and also be part of G1?"

[6.0] "A perfectly serviceable road to G1 event with some important title matches and even an important title change. Match of the night was probably the main event, but I wouldn't recommend going out of your way to watch any match on this show."

[5.0] "2.5/5. Decent Road To show that is, in my opinion, carried by the last two matches. Kidd vs. Umino was easily my MOTN, and I think it sets up a 3rd match between them at Kobe or sometime after the G1 as both men will meet each other during the G1 (which is where I think the loser of tonight will get their win to set up the rubber match). YOH/Akira was good as well, but it was kinda clear from the jump that it was there to send the crowd home happy. The G1 Play-Ins were whatever, and the opening tag matches did their job. Overall, decent show. Would definitely recommend Umino/Kidd and maybe YOH/Akira."

[6.0] "Solid night of action but nothing in particular tickled me. Nothing below a five for me but nothing above a seven either. Show flowed nicely, though. A perfectly acceptably good night of pro-wrestling."

"The result for the first match is incorrect. The House Of Torture team defeated El Desperado, Masatora Yasuda, Taichi & Yuya Uemura when Douki pinned Masatora Yasuda."

[6.0] "A decent lead-in show. I'd have preferred the main and semi-main to have been switched. I like Akira but YOH was hard to build chemistry with here, as he works out where the balance of seriousness and silliness is now that he's champion. People are against the Gabe Kidd result, but I'm behind anything that lights a fire under Shota."
