[8.0] "It was a good enough event. The second match between Unbound Co. and United Empire and the fianl of Young Lion Cup was the best matches of the evening and both was very good.I think Murashima was the clear favorite since the start of the tournament and he deserves the win."
[5.0] "Your standard Road to NJPW show where nothing of real importance actually happens (apart from Wato earning himself a title match). In-ring action is ok, nothing to really watch if you're not a completionist."
[6.0] "[5.8] The February 2nd, 2026 Road to New Beginning show was a decent show and a nice buildup for the show in Osaka. The highlights for me was Murashima's Young Lion Cup win, UE vs. Unbound Co's feud and Finlay & Takahashi vs. Newman and Jakob Austin Young. Main event was disappointing and hurt the feud between Lee and Tsuji a bit. Overall, an okay show."
[6.0] "This is a pretty good show. Most matches were at least entertaining, we get a real solid Young Lion Cup finale and a very good semi-main event. ***1/4."
[7.0] "A rather enjoyable undercard with a main event I found to be pretty disappointing. NJPW has largely been producing good cards this year but they're having a little trouble figuring out where all of their new talent should slot in. For every act like the Knock Out Brothers that feels fully formed they have an act like Jake Lee that just isn't coming together the way that it should. Very good show up until the main event."
