Lots of Good work from the Survivor Series Style match from the mens side as well, not to say the women didn't give their best shot! All in All a great showcase of both brands!"

[6.0] "A pretty fun watch for a night of NXT. The opening Tag was a nice nostalgia match that's helped cement the hardy boys as the tag team that gets to win every belt, the women's Survivor series tag was an incredible match in Ring wise where Jacie and Sol began hinting at a feud that I'm now super hype to see even though coming out of the match it really feels like it was only trying to get those two over. Ethan v Ali was of a grossest regular singles matches I've seen in a good time (seriously Ali was killed out there), and the men's survivor series tag felt big. While it was booked in a way that made the final stretch into a super saints hope spot where I think he got a lot more of a push then was needed (going from 1v4 to 1v2 in three minutes just took me out). Nothing too special tonight, but it was undeniably a great time."

[5.0] "Invas... er, Showdown was... okay. The Ethan Page-Mustafa Ali match was very good and the best of the show; I especially appreciated the creative finish with the camera cable. Hardy Boyz vs DarkState was an okay match with a feel-good, fanservice ending that does make the result of the BFG match seemingly even more predictable - I didn't expect the Dudleys to take the TNA belts, and especially not the NXT belts now that they're also involved. The men's Survivor Series match was decent. The women's was... eh. Several notable blown spots notwithstanding, it didn't really feel all that much like a company-versus-company match considering that the "TNA" team consisted of one competitor that's currently on the NXT roster, one who left NXT less than six months ago, and two who - albeit across two runs - have had less than twenty matches in TNA and are still probably more closely associated with WWE. In a way it might have actually been the most reminiscent of the original Invasion, when the WCW/ECW side included guys like Stone Cold, who had worked for WCW but left it nearly a decade earlier, had a brief ECW stint and then had his greatest success in the WWF, and Kurt Angle, who'd never had any involvement with WCW or ECW at all (the abortive possibility of joining ECW before the crucifixion angle notwithstanding). This wasn't a disaster, and I'm glad TNA at least finally got a couple of wins out of the deal, but I think it was a pretty middle-of-the-road event. I do at least appreciate seeing traditional Survivor Series matches, since we don't get to see those on the actual Survivor Series events anymore."

[6.0] "It felt like a better NXT episode than usual because it was wrestling-heavy and most of the matches were very entertaining. I thought the Ethan Page/Mustafa Ali match was the best of the night, while the Men's Survivor Series elimination match was more interesting than what the women did. I think the booking hurt the women's match more than the wrestlers did. With that said, it was fun to see Survivor Series elimination matches again, with the NXT women and TNA men picking up the big wins. The NXT brand won two matches and the TNA brand won two matches, so it's a stalemate in terms of who won Showdown. I think they could have made it more interesting by booking five matches and having one side win more matches so that the story can continue that way. Instead, they booked a tie, and now the fighting between NXT and TNA will likely stop just like that. Congrats to the Hardys winning the NXT Tag Team Titles, too."

[6.0] "For me it was an average cross promotional show that WWE could do, and it's for me that I had high expectation as how it was produced and not so much how it would ended. because there is neither winner nor losers. I'd say that got the chance to make the tna roster shine, and I'm speaking for the mans only because there were no knockout to be found there (Women's Survivor Match felt like a Nxt special match). Nothing interesting from the op match, just to please the crowd and see the Hardy's again, in a WWE ring and procure another piece of gold missing from their collection. The NA match was the one who stole the show, and while the men's survivor was okay, I expected more other than a 1 vs 4 situation, like it happened in the past. And sure, adding both Jordynne Grace and Joe Hendry as special referees was fine. Jordynne showed on social media, in the past days, how frustrated she was on not being picked, and then put em as a referee on paper it's an interesting situation, and it kinda was again fine, like even trying to be shocked when team Nxt won the match. On the other hand, I don't know, Joe felt like he doesn't care much about. Overall I'd preferred a better story worked around, and I'm feeling a 6.5/10"

[6.0] "A decent episode of NXT that would've felt better if it was a bigger venue. Ali vs Page was the match of the night, everything else was generally fine. I can't say I have cared much for this storyline as a TNA fan, but it's a decent part of the final step to Bound for Glory. The backstage segments were fine, the Matt Cardona and Lexis King ones in particular were quite funny."

"I am only halfway through this episode, but the crowd is the loudest it has ever been in this venue and they do not care about what happens. It is a weird one because the first two matches were not good and it took up the first hour."

[9.0] "That was so great special episode and I like this things. 4 banger matches with a drama, activity and good wrestling. NXT and TNA delivered amazing rivalry, that ended in draw, but maybe not ended for now. I'm confused that after main event Ava and Santino just continuing their partnership, like invasion was never existed. But there is only 1 issue for me and everething else are very great."

[6.0] "A good night of wrestling overall, but I feel like that we could have gotten something more out of the two Survivor Series matches, especially from the women's One. The highlight of the show was undoubtedly the North American Title Match, while the opener was not great."

[4.0] "Not a good show. Only bright spot was the North American Title Match, but other than that it's easily skippable. The Hardyz delivered a good moment but the match was pretty bad & Survivor Series' style matches were both dissapointing to say the least."

[6.0] "An unspectacular show with a lot of botches, the TNA storyline got me to watch NXT for only the third ever time. One match was excellent and a great showing for Ethan Page, and Ali did not lose too much luster with the creative finish. The Survivor Series matches were a great use of the stipulation, which I miss, but only the men's match was really successful. Even so, it was weird to see the alliances, like Moose and Leon Slater on the same team after their feud. The Hardys won the NXT tag team titles which is cool for their WWE careers and invigorating the NXT tag title scene, but it makes no sense to do that right before Bound for Glory lest we're supposed to believe Team 3D would go to NXT or bury their champions. Jordynne Grace and Joe Hendry added nothing as special guest referees, which I kinda liked, because special guest referees need to sometimes play it straight. Mixed bag in all aspects except for one great match."

[4.0] "The opening tag team title for title match was mediocre. The Hardy Boyz were fine even if they can't move around well, but DarkState looked like they didn't belong in the ring. The Hardys won, which was the right result (3/10). The women's NXT vs TNA match was okay. Just looking at the names involved you could tell who was going to win before this one got started. Grace wasn't needed as the special guest ref. We even got the announcer screwing up. Kind of a mess of a match. Team NXT predictably win a one-sided fight (4.5/10). Page vs Ali for the NA title was very good, easily the best match of the show. Ali gets his title shot two years later, nice to see them remember that. They worked well together and the creative finish allowed Page to just barely retain because of luck (8/10). The men's NXT vs TNA match was solid. The action was fine and they told a fine story with Saints putting up a strong fight in an impossible situation, but the issue is that this should have been more competitive than it was. Team TNA wins (6/10). I'm not really into this NXT-TNA feud to begin with, but this show was underwhelming outside of one match and didn't feel like anything was resolved. 4/10"

[6.0] "WWE NXT vs. TNA matches, highlighted by The Hardy Boyz capturing both tag titles, Team NXT winning the women's elimination match, Ethan Page retaining the North American Title versus Mustafa Ali, and Team TNA winning the men's elimination bout. Feedback was mixed, with praise for the North American Title match and criticism for weak storytelling and match buildup."

"6.5/10. Felt more like a showcase than a showdown, frankly, downplaying the TNA invasion a little. The SS matches were fine despite the botches, though I feel like adbreaks prolly played a part in the weird pacing. Page and Ali made their 14 minutes matter and put on the clear MOTN. I don't really know how the division's gonna benefit from the Hardys holding the NXT tag belts, but we've gotta wait and see I guess, assuming they'll help elevate an up-and-coming team or faction."

[3.0] "You can try and dress this up however you want. It's still a tiny promotion against a larger company's trainees with some castoffs from elsewhere mixed in. This is like Ohio State vs. the New England Patriots' practice squad, leading at halftime and then trying to claim one of their Super Bowl rings."
JackElDestripador wrote on 08.10.2025:
[5.0] "It was an ambitious event in concept, but its execution left more questions than answers. It wasn't a bad show (there were good matches and highlights), but the path taken in the weeks leading up to it and the way the stories were connected made the final result feel somewhat forced, more like an improvised showcase than a true culmination of rivalries. The main problem lay in the narrative preparation. NXT had been building for weeks: several matches were announced without sufficient context, and many rivalries seemed thrown together at the last minute just to justify the presence of TNA stars. Rather than feeling like a collision of worlds with history behind them, the show felt more like a promotional experiment, where the focus was on pairing attractive names without giving them a coherent thread. In the ring, the matches performed technically, but felt a bit disconnected in places. In short, it was a show with good isolated moments, but lacked cohesion or a sense of purpose. More of a crossover curiosity than an event with its own weight. 5/10."

"Darkstate has to move to main roster now, no point of keeping them in NXT. I don't understand why we had special refs here but at least they didn't do anything wrong. Mid female SS match, botches, even announcer botch it. Vice played more heel character than current champion, just plain match. North American title match was the best during the night, we all know what Ali can do in ring and they didn't buried him so win-win. ME was fine but again maybe I expected too much but nothing happened, Trick just walked out what was pretty obvious (for me he could eliminate himself or just quit). Building Saints as a solo survivor makes sense for a lot of fans but I'm not buying him as a main champion"

[6.0] "The show as a whole was okay for the point of company against company. It ended in a draw, which was quite predictable but supposedly understandable. The opening match was to get the crowd interested and entertained by having the returning Hardy Boyz; however, the match itself was bland and filled with botches from the amateurism of Darkstate, not worthy to hold any title for a long time by any means. The women's elimination match was alright but not the best either. The best match of the night was Ethan Page and Mustafa Ali; it was a very good encounter with a lot of originality and uniqueness, but I feel like it should have gotten a little more time. I am loving his reign as well; he's defended it against three different companies now; pure workhorse. The main event with the men's elimination match was quite honestly underwhelming and did not give NXT a fair representation. Myles Borne was eliminated rapidly, Je'Von Evans barely even got any moves in, Trick Williams walked out, and they attempted to give Ricky Saints the Dolph Ziggler treatment, and the crowd was flat."
