After their singles match, Talos rejected the shirt of his group, Hokuto-gun, and shook hands with Ayabe to signal that the two would be a tag team going forward.
[7.0] "This was one of the best AJPW shows from start to finish in quite a while - every match had it's place and purpose, everyone was motivated to deliver and it was fun while it lasted. I think while it may sense two cherry pick last two matches and Nomura vs. Honda, I'd recommend giving this entire show a chance and see for yourself if modern AJPW is your cup of tea or not. Personally, while I don't think there's some kind of untapped potential for an output with extremely high ceiling, I see why AJPW was cultivating the audience that they have in the last few years - they have a lot of women in the crowd who are familiar with the wrestlers and enjoy the promotion for what it is, which is why it didn't feel like putting on the final of AJPW's Junior Festival was some kind of a big risk."
[8.0] "I stopped watching All Japan earlier this year when everyone just decided to work like a comedy geek and checked this show out on a whim. I am glad I did because I thought this was a main event away from being really top tier. I went notebook on two matches that did not happen an awful lot even when I was into AJPW. Hopefully this signals a new direction for the company but I am not quite ready to trust them yet."
[8.0] "I think this show is closer to a 7.5 but it's defnitely higher than a 7. This was possibly All Japan's best show this year. After a lackluster year that got sucked up by a too long Jun Saito Triple Crown reign and too much comedy from everyone but especially Yuma Aoyagi, this felt like a shift in direction. The Jrs. really stepped up in the main event and the attendance here surprised me given that tickets sales going into this looked not good (thought it did pick up a bit after the Jr. Battle of Glory finals were set). And Naoya Nomura vs. Ryuki Honda was an awesome example of what this company could be. Plus Ren Ayabe vs. Talos was not a disaster!"
