[4.0] "I loved the king and queen of the ring matches. Asuka gets the best out of Alexa and Zayn and Ortons chemistry is sick. The rest is so bad. La Knight's career is just sad. Charlotte vs Chelsea sucked and Piper could've SERIOUSLY injured her. Truth vs Cena sucked but at least the promo was good!"

[4.0] "Sami vs Randy was cool and Asuka vs Alexa was good enough, the rest of the matches... Nothing worths the time you need to watch it. Segments were also pretty uninspired. The entrances train with Cody, Jey, Sami and Randy, specially the two firsts, is insane, that segment was eternal even watching it at x2 speed. Then you have another Tiffy and Nia promo that I might seen twenty times in a year and Solo saying pretty much what he has also said a hundred times. The main event is a joke, they basically repeated a part of their previous match with Cena doing his comeback at x0.25 speed (again) and end it with a DQ. The promo was great, it obviously lacked some "spice", let's say, since he didn't mention truely controversial stuff, but great anyway. In resume: watch the promo in social media and skip this show."

[3.0] "Orton vs Sami (and a hot crowd) was the only thing that saved this from being an all-time bad episode. It is astounding how little of note WWE can manage to do in a THREE HOUR show. Hell, the first hour only had a sub-10 minute between Asuka and Alexa... For anyone hoping that going back to two hours will fix the show, it won't. You'll get the same amount of ads and promos - just much less wrestling."

[3.0] "Smackdown is legitimately the worst weekly wrestling show. The show opened with a sloppy match just proving Alexa Bliss doesn't have it anymore and it closed with BACK TO BACK DQ finishes.. the closing John Cena promo is incredibly overrated imo as it's just inauthentic and the only thing it really did was attempt to bury Cm Punk's character and gimmick. So sick of this Cena heel run."

[6.0] "This was a very up-and-down episode of SmackDown. I won't lie, SmackDown has been awful this year, a very dead show. That doesn't focus mainly on the younger talent and has Road Dogg being the man in charge of SmackDown creative, which he has done a horrible job of. But this was an okay episode. The first two matches on the show were fun. I watched both Semi-Final Matches, but after that, the next three matches just did nothing for me. No, Carmelo Hayes, Giulia, Fraxiom, MCMG, Rey Fenix, and The Street Profits weren't on the show. I have a lot of issues with SmackDown, and the Main Event Match was not good, but the after-match stuff was probably the best work Cena has done as a Heel this year. Overall, they need a hard reset because this is getting ridiculous. How awful the booking and show have been. Please bring the WWE Draft closer and gut out SmackDown because it needs saving at this point."

[9.0] "WWE has been on a roll lately. How they manage to produce 5(! ) hours of high-quality TV product every week is beyond me. 1) LA Knight slowly but surely regains the momentum he once had in 2023. 2) How stupid Naomi must be for attempting to cash in her MiTB briefcase in front of the challenger who has a championship match next week for the same belt? 3) JOHN CENA'S PROMO WAS PHENOMENAL! It was one of his best performances ever! A segment 14 years in the making! I loved and enjoyed every second of it. For a moment, I became a 14-year-old fan of John Cena all over again. The only thing I didn't like was how R-Truth's story was swept aside in the blink of an eye. Wait a minute... guess who John Cena had a match against in 2011 and who had put him through that table he so conviently chose to stay on during CM Punk's pipe bomb? IT WAS R-TRUTH!"

[9.0] "Don't really understand the low rating for this one, I thought this was the best episode of SmackDown in a long time, and I've been enjoying it since Mania but I felt this one was really good. My only actual gripe is the fact that we didn't get to see the promised Giulia-Zelina face-off, but at least that match has been made official for next week. Elsewhere we had two excellent matches in the K/QOTR semi-finals and a great callback from Cena in his pipebomb promo, and great feud-building with LA Knight vs Seth's group. As I said I didn't like that they couldn't even be bothered giving Giulia a few minutes of TV time but other than that it's the most fun I've had with SmackDown in a long time."

[6.0] "Watching three hours of SmackDown is usually not the best option to spend a friday night, but sometimes you don't have anything better to do, and it's cool to watch a full show, just to be there. In this case it was actually a good choice, because the closing angle between Cena and Punk was freaking brilliant, an awesome moment. Other than that, the two first matches were excellent tv-matches, and the rest is filler. It's a good thing that the show have long breaks between the matches, so you can easily rest and not pay attention to the packages and the uninteresting angles."

[5.0] "Good for the first half, then got progressively worse till it ended in a desperately bad note with yet another boring Cena match and him cutting the weakest attempt at long term storytelling I've seen in a while. First match was fun, solid work from two good workers and the same goes for the second, both matches did the storytelling job for the tournament and were entertaining contests. Charlotte vs Chelsea was okay if very obvious who was gonna win, and I think I just don't get LA Knight, dude just bores in the ring so that was just okay. The final match was another embarrassment for Cena with him spot calling crazy to the point we made a drinking game out of it. Truth does his best with the time he's given as the commentary team completely undermine his name change by refusing to call him anything other than R-Truth, what was the point of that amazing promo, his character shift and him cutting his fucking dreads off if you're not gonna sell it? Then Cena cuts the pipe bomb promo in an incredibly predictable turn of events, with Punk lying in the middle of a broken table with a Slim Jim advertisement on it, it's really bad and sums up the what a sell out punk is after all his talk about Saudi Arabia and what a boring company puppet Cena is, pathetic promo for me and pretty much ruined the whole show. But credit where credit is due for the first few matches."

The Heyman LA Knight stuff was just off, and it's just not hitting. The Fatu and Solo promo was fine but hardly cooking, Flair vs Green was awful, knight vs Reed was below average, the main event was a joke. The closing promo while being a cheap knock off of the pipe bomb but it was decent. It's still felt generic and cartoonish. Smackdown is the worst weekly show right now."

"WWE SmackDown Grand Rapids Michigan. The Pipe bomb was phenomenal, maybe a little predictable, but really great. I expected that Maybe I am watching to much Pro Wrestling. I can still have vivid memories of the first one. Is Cm Punk really a one-hit wonder? I really loved how Cena did not say I am the best in the world. He know he is not. but for sure is now the Greatest WWE superstar of all times. You're not punk, you're a capitalist was my favorite part of the promo for sure because this emphasizes the fact that the man that rappresented the establishment became the rebel and the rebel became the establishment."

"I think that this was a good smackdown, because there were decent matches. asuka qualifying and also randy for the finals, we had a decent segment of Jacob and solo, and big Jim, at the the pipebomb promo done at the main event by cena was a fun thing to watch and it makes the more interesting in their storyline moving forward to their match."

Even if it legitimately bothered Punk, what's he going to do about it? He has nowhere else to work. Nothing here that needs to be seen immediately."

[6.0] "Smackdown was very average. We started with a nice exchange between Paul and Knight that shows Knight is still important in WWE. The Asuka/Bliss is good and entertaining. I didn't care what the result was as I was fine with either one. The Cody/Uso/Zayn/Orton segment was a bit random. Uso's entrance was interminable. On a side note, Jey cut a good promo for once. The Zayn/Orton was the best match of the night. At 45, Orton is still good, while Zayn is as good as ever. The suspense was there and Orton's win gives me hope for Karrion Kross who predicted what was going to happen for Sami in this smackdown. Jax/Tiffy was meh but glad to have a Tiffy/Jax in Last Woman Standing match. Shame there wasn't a REAL feud between the two as it would have given Tiffy's reign some interest. Charlotte/Green was mid. We still don't know where the storyline between Bliss and Flair will go. The segment between Fatu and Sikoa was very good. Sikoa persuading Jacob to come back and Jacob revealing the truth to Sikoa made sense. The brawl was cool but I'd like to know what justifies Jimmy helping Fatu? I'm glad the match is official for NOC. This rivalry is very well worked. Solo has made up for it well since Backlash with some good promos and Jacob got to show off his mic skills too. Knight/Reed was average too. The post-match is good to put Breakker and Reed in the spotlight without Rollins' presence. The ME is crap. You get a Ron Killings at the prime of his career facing a John Cena who was becoming interesting again since post-MITB RAW and you get an absolutely horrible match. WHAT A MESS. This ME should have been excellent given the history between the two. And yet right after, we get a crazy segment. Cena flipping the pipe bomb on Punk is awesome. There was a lot of playing with reality. Great promo from Cena. The three promos between the two since the post-MITB RAW are excellent. I thought Ron disappeared very quickly after his match. I hope they didn't ruin something good for a man who was finally getting his moment in the spotlight for a legendary match. It's a shame that the second half of the show, despite two very good segments, was less interesting in terms of matches."

[8.0] "One of the best smackdowns in the past month, we saw a great match between Auska and Alexa Bliss for the semi finals of queen of the ring, and a sloid 7 rating match between the 2 legends Randy and Sami. The rest of the show was ok but the Cena promo against Punk was one of the best since Cena came back."
Rocky7 wrote on 21.06.2025:
[7.0] "My score of 7 for this show is heavily lifted by the promo John Cena waited 14 years to cut, his revenge for CM Punk's pipebomb promo on him in 2011. What goes around comes around, as Cena accused Punk of being "Mr. TKO", a bullshitter and a hypocrite, and name checked Claudio Castagnoli, Nic Nemeth and Matt Cardona like Punk did Colt Cabana in the original promo. I'd have given the show an 8 if Cena said Ryan Nemeth, Jack Perry and Hangman Page. The fans were behind Cena as Punk has gone against everything he ever said while he was away from WWE, and has lost a lot of goodwill. The rest of the show wasn't particularly great, with Randy Orton vs. Sami Zayn the best on offer. There was a lot of time without any wrestling, and Ron Killings appears to just be a guy again."
