[10.0] "This episode made me sad. Let me explain. It showed how you simply need to put the right wrestler against the right wrestler for a show to be good. Every match on this show was a 7+ and these are wrestlers who wrestle weekly. You have great segments too which wasn't common at all for WWE in 2025. I'm glad they put the title back on Gunther. It's 100% the best Raw of 2025 and I wish they booked more shows like this really."

[8.0] "[7.9] The June 9th, 2025 edition of Monday Night RAW was one of the most exciting RAWs we've gotten in a little bit. RAW was on a bit of a slow-down for a few weeks but this managed to pick things right back up. Post Money in the Bank show and we had some great highlights. GUNTHER winning back his world championship, Cena and Punk's opening interaction, Roxxane going to QOTR, Bayley returning, R-Truth cutting his hair off, Good matches, etc. My only gripe with this show was the second half of the show being a bit weaker but that's not saying much to be honest."

[7.0] "The show started off strong with John Cena giving a classic heel promo only to be interrupted by CM Punk who surprisingly challenged Cena to a title match at Night Of Champions in Saudi Arabia which may or may not be good especially in 2025 in what was a great segment. Becky Lynch segment was solid especially when Bayley made her return for the first time since before WrestleMania 41 which makes it interesting for the road ahead and I hope Bayley gets a title match for Women's Intercontinental Title. R-Truth gave a solid and emotionally driven promo which was actually good to watch and deserved to get the applause he did. Good to see Nikki Bella come back to WWE and her segment was a good watch especially when Liv Morgan came out and ended up hitting Oblivion on Bella and it was a solid past vs present meeting of these two and I hope they cross paths at WWE Evolution 2 in July. AJ Styles vs Chad Gable: This had the makings of being a great match but was not given that much time to get going to be honest, they have decent chemistry within the ring and had a decent enough showing but could have elevated to the level it needed if given the time, Styles winning made sense [**3/4]. Roxanne Perez vs Kairi Sane vs Liv Morgan vs Rhea Ripley: Given the wrestlers involved in this one, I actually enjoyed it just like I thought I would do, there were some cool spots and Perez winning was a surprise but she took the chance and capalitised on the win here, all four had their moment which was good to see [***1/2]. Sami Zayn vs Bron Breakker vs Dominik Mysterio vs Penta: What a first round match in the King Of The Ring tournament, all four came out and hope to deliver a great match and they did just that, anyone of them could have won but I am so glad Zayn won the match to advance to the Semi Finals, Penta had a decent showing, LA Knight hitting the BFT on Breakker on the outside of the ring was surprising to see [****1/4]. Gunther vs Jey Uso: A great world title match with an ironic ending, Gunther regained the title the same way as Uso won the title from Gunther at WrestleMania with a sleeper hold but Uso chose to pass out rather than tap out like Gunther did, they had a great in ring psychology and work rate, MOTYC, better than their match at WrestleMania 41, great match to end RAW [****1/2]"

[10.0] "The opening segment with Cena and Punk was electric, perfectly setting the stage for a massive night. The Fatal 4-Way format for the King and Queen of the Ring matches was a fantastic, chaotic way to kick off the tournaments, with great winners in Sami Zayn and Roxanne Perez. AJ Styles and Chad Gable delivered another quality wrestling match. The Nikki Bella and Liv Morgan segment was intense, instantly building a new, compelling feud. The main event was a storytelling masterpiece. Gunther and Jey Uso had an incredible, physical match with a brutal, dramatic finish that was both shocking and memorable. A major title change on Raw added to the show's importance. Every segment delivered, the pacing was perfect, and it was packed with significant moments and character progression. Truly one of the best episodes of Raw in recent memory."

All the matches were good, we had the confirmation of Cena vs. Punk, which although I would have preferred it to be at Summerslam, just the fact that it happened made me excited, and the main event was somewhat surprisingly positive, I didn't expect Gunther to win and leave it at that. Main events that surprise you always make the show better."

[9.0] "This was a GREAT episode of RAW and it quite possibly the best episode of the year. Both men's & women's qualifying matches for the KOTR & QOTR were very good matches and the Punk & Cena segment was amazing as with despite if you agree with Punk going to Saudi or not. Cena making Punk go to Saudi to take the belt off him is the best heel move Cena has done since returning heel. R-Truth was cut a very good promo as well. Gunther Vs Jey was the match you would expect it to be but I honestly didn't expect Gunther to win the title back and people often criticize WWE for being predictable and they yet again try being unpredictable which I like. Overall very great episode of RAW."

[8.0] "Greatest Raw in a really long time, I would even say a few years, but I would probably be forgetting some others. Pretty good matches, although I wish they let AJ and Chad go longer, and also I sadly admit that Kairi is definetely looking rough. One of the best Cena segments, although I still hate the "you people" gimmick and CM (can't call him Punk anymore) going to Saudi Arabia is extremely dissapointing. I hate the Dom's feuds but Rox and Liv dinamic was fun. Also Liv was great in Nikki's segment. Ron's promo was pretty cool, similar to the one he did when he went to TNA. I'm happy with all the winners, specially Gunther getting back his championship (but I don't think the match was as good as other people here is rating it, definetely not more than a 5/10 for me)."

"8.0 Overall one of the most solid Monday Night Raws that I have watched, with 4 all around great matches that were entertaining from start to finish. But I have to say that John Cena forcing CM Punk to follow him to Saudi Arabia was good for the storyline because of Punks past comments about Saudi Arabia, but not good anywhere else. This seemed like a great match to have at MITB or SummerSlam, not Night of Champions and felt like a sellout for the fans. Glad to see Gunther with the championship back too with Uso's lackluster reign."
RestlingThots wrote on 11.06.2025:
"1) Let me cite my own review of the previous episode of Monday Night Raw: "Something tells me Gunther is going to win back his title from Jey Uso next week because the champion will be too beat up after his Tag Team match at Money in the Bank two days prior - just like Gunther told him he would be." I don't want to be that guy... who am I kidding? I DO WANT to be that guy - I TOLD YOU SO! I'm not a fan of Gunther and never understood the hype around him, but I've been even less of a fan of Jey Uso and his stupid catch phrase for double-digit IQ individuals - the man is 40 years old, but behaves like a schoolkid. That being said, this match won me over. The story they told in the squared circle was mesmerizing. Jey proved to me that he's more than a walking merchendise stand and understands in-ring psychology like a world champion should. 2) I can't believe they are going to throw away the CM Punk vs. John Cena dream match like that. Not only it's happening at some tier-3 PLE in Saudi Arabia, but the whole ordeal is so rushed, the premise is pulled out of thin air - in other words, it feels forced and unnatural. It feels corporate. It looks like the Saudis specifically bought this match, but WWE could do a better job at building it up. Didn't CM Punk have a problem with Seth Rollins just a week ago and couldn't care less about John Cena? I mean, why would he care about a champiom from ANOTHER brand. Even the appearance of John on this Raw wasn't warranted and took place only to set up this match. And honestly, there was no chemistry between them. Cena stood there like a stunned idiot waiting for his turn to deliver his lines. 3) Stripping everything people love so much R-Truth for and pivoting to a serious gimmick is a very risky and brave move."

[10.0] "This was the best episode of Monday Night RAW this year. The lineup that was presented was insane, as every match looked to be a banger, which indeed all were. I liked the opening segment of CM Punk and WWE Champion John Cena. I thought it was solid, and CM Punk fighting at Saudi Arabia kinda shocked me as his past comments about that country, but we have our Main Event for Night of Champions. The opening match was fun as AJ Styles defeated El Gr- I mean Chad Gable in a solid, quick match. AJ Styles, as of late, has had a bigger role on RAW as he's involved in many stories really happy to see one of the best wrestlers of all-time be involved in a lot of programs at this moment in time. The first Queen of the Ring Fatal Four Way was solid. I expected Rhea Ripley to win, but Roxanne Perez got the win as she got the sneaky pin to advance into the next round of the Queen of the Ring Tournament. Ron Killings came out and cut an amazing promo and proceeded to cut his locs off and signaling he's now his own man and not comedic puppet loved this if you ever saw Ron Killings in TNA when he was serious, he was an amazing promo cutter, so I'm excited to see how this goes. Sami Zayn advances in the King of the Ring tournament as he pinned the WWE Intercontinental Champion Dominik Mysterio to win, and we saw LA Knight cost Bron Breakker a chance at winning as he hit a BFT and ran off. This was another solid Fatal-Four Way Match. We had four good wrestlers, so you had to expect it to steal the show. Nikki Bella returned, and Liv Morgan ruined her return in her home state of Arizona and laid her out. Gunther is now a 2x WWE World Champion as he dethroned Jey Uso in the Main Event. Amazing show, and next week's card is looking very solid. I'm glad that the fallout episode of RAW delivered big-time."

[8.0] "This was a really good show and probably the best show since WWE went on to Netflix. Most of the promo and backstage segments, most of the ring work and even the video packages were solid at worst. As much as I didn't care for the finishes in the qualifiers even that was outshone by the overall quality of the matches. Plus we get to enjoy CM Punk Saudi based banter. Great show. 8/10"

[9.0] "Really good show, probably the best RAW of the year so far, incredibly solid, with many many good things. That show looked awesome on paper, a total must-watch, and corresponded to the expectations, it was super fun. I really liked the Punk/Cena segment, setting up a match for Night of Champions, and the Ron Killings angle was absolutely incredible as well, I loved it. The matches were very good, and progressively got better during the show. I even strongly liked the segment between Nikki Bella and Liv Morgan! Everything clicked here, of course it wasn't perfect, and two of three details could've been better, but overall it was a heck of a show. Promised and delivered."

[8.0] "Evidently the rumors about Triple leaving or being replaced must have a kernel of truth somewhere in there because he was clearly motivated with this episode. Once again, I'm making a plea to add segments to be rated for the show. Nikki Bella was a complete waste of time and easily prevents this show from being a 10 along with Cena and Punk's bizarre, disingenuous and awful promos."

[7.0] "I think someone's going overboard -- it was a very good show, much better than MITB, but right now the average rating is almost a 9? Are we serious? Not even an hour of in-ring wrestling? AJ vs. Chad was good but had way too little time. Will we get to see a proper showdown between the two? With enough time, that could be a great match (6). The QOTR qualifier was another good match with a somewhat messy finish. Again, for a fatal 4-way, the time wasn't enough to do justice to all four competitors -- a shame, because with a few more minutes it could've been spectacular (7). The KOTR match was solid, as expected given the names involved. So now we're getting a feud between LA Knight and Breakker? I'd start that right away -- otherwise the interference felt pointless. Either way, good match and the right winner (8). The main event was good, although I would've avoided the finisher spam at the end. Gunther's finisher being a sleeper doesn't have the same impact as a flashy one. Still, thankfully Jey's reign is over -- as expected, the WHC just isn't for him. He probably gave it everything here, but he's still missing too much to be true main event material (8). Final rating for the show: 7.5."

CM Punk is working in Saudi Arabia, surprise surpise. This dude has a spine like a spaghetti. Anyway, Raw was fine with some solid matches but from a booking side there is a lot weird stuff going on. A King of the Ring tounament with 4 way matches is a choice."

BorrisCortes wrote on 10.06.2025:
[10.0] "Even though I enjoyed the RAW and smackdown episodes between WM and MITB, I thought the WWE were in a very complicated period but here they gave us an exceptional RAW. The Punk and Cena promo is magnificent. Cena criticising us for getting tired of supporting a random wrestler is excellent. Punk's arrival gave me the shivers. His promo is excellent with dozens of references to his cult promos. He remains logical about the fact that he's not there for the officials but for the people. John's choice of Saudi Arabia is excellent. Cena isn't doing us any favours, which is why he's choosing Saudi Arabia for this match we've all been waiting for. After two complicated months, Cena has become interesting again. The first match is nice. Admittedly it was short but it wasn't bad in itself, the two of them are still as cool as ever. The fatal 4 way is magnificent. It went every which way, it was suspenseful, Rhea didn't take up too much space, in short, it was a great match. Perez's win was great. Lynch's promo was good. Her acting, the way she saw herself as a blessing for the IC title, the religious reference with Judas and Jesus, it was all good. Bayley's return was surprising and very cool. Now I don't see what they're going to do to justify a triple threat because Bayley and Lyra aren't enemies. Now the Ron Killings promo. I didn't care for Truth until now, even his return to MITB was strange to me. I thought it was all for nothing and that Truth would remain on the bottom rung of the company as he has been all these years and well this promo gave me what I wanted for a long time. We've had a Ron Killings who brought a tear to my eye, who comes out with a promo that's just excellent. They're going to do something with Ron Killings and what I wanted. Ron Killing R truth. One of the best segments this year. The fatal 4 way male was excellent too. It went every which way, the suspense was there. Breakker losing the match to LA Knight makes sense and gives me hope for LA Knight's future. Zayn winning is great. I had no expectations for Nikki Bella's return, I was surprised especially thanks to Liv Morgan. Liv Morgan was cool in this segment. We play a lot with reality in this segment with Liv saying that Liv of now would have massacred Nikki in 2015, Liv's record which is above Nikki, the personal side of Nikki which is mentioned and the fact that Liv Morgan tells Nikki that she will always be a diva. Cool segment. We see that Liv Morgan will face turn soon. The return of Asuka next week is nice. The ME is just a masterclass. Gunther and Jey offered us a great match which should have been like that at WM. Jey had the match of her life (despite two rotten spears). Gunther was a treat and the end of this match is just excellent. It reminded me of Angle/HBK WM 21 with exceptional suspense. Gunther's victory is extremely pleasing because it was clear that WWE didn't want to give any attention to Jey's reign. Even if Jey had won, my opinion of the match would have been the same. I hope this RAW will put WWE back on the right track."

[9.0] "I think this episode was as close to perfect as it can be. An amazing opening segment between John Cena and CM Punk, though it's a crying shame to waste this match on a Saudi PPV instead of having it main event SummerSlam. What followed was solid in-ring action with Styles vs Gable and QOTR/KOTR qualifiers. Styles vs Gable was understandably short, after all, Gable went through hell this past weekend, but these two still managed to showcase what makes them so special in 7 minutes. I enjoyed the QOTR qualifier, but you could tell there were some miscommunication issues during certain spots. Becky's promo was meh, but it was great to see Bayley return. I like where this Intercontinental title feud is heading. Ron "R-Truth" Killings cut an all-timer promo that gave me literal goosebumps. I vividly remember his heel run in 2011; that character had so much potential, but VKM turned Truth into some kind of comedy act. I can't wait to watch the serious side of Killings as he nears the end of his career. The KOTR qualifier fell apart toward the end, but it was a fun match nonetheless. The main event was really great, they told a clear story with Jey trying to go for a sleeper hold early in the match and Gunther targeting Jey's ribs. Gunther did his best to carry Jey Uso to a good match, like Seth did a couple of weeks ago. What's really important is they righted a wrong with Gunther regaining what he never should have lost in the first place."

[8.0] "Probably the Best WWE TV show since the one in Chicago before WM 40. This was a great combination of good matches, story progressions and some really good angles . The opening segment with Punk and Cena was really good. Both these men are incredible promos and the eventual match will be the best on Cena's retirement tour. But I feel like they're rushing the match as it could've gotten more build if they did it on, say Summerslam. Styles VS Gable was an alright match. The women's Queen Of The Ring match was fine and had a result I didn't expect as I thought Rhea advancing was a lock in. But Roxanne going through is great. Didn't like much of Becky's promo but Bayley returning was nice, possibly setting up a 3 way with Lyra involved at Evolution. Ron Killings was THE Highlite of the show in terms of promo. This was the best he's ever looked and presented in WWE and he cut the promo of his life. Men's King Of The Ring match was pretty good and fun to watch. All 4 guys are incredible talent but the result, once again shocked me as I thought Breakker going through was yet another lock. But realistically thinking, Sami might even win the whole thing now. The Nikki Bella and Liv Morgan segment was easily the worst part of the show. If this ends up putting Liv over her, fine but the segment just didn't click. Main Event was Jey Uso's best match since..... Maybe his best singles matc ever? Gunther is obviously great and Jey did his role well here as he gave a fight. Definitely his best performance. Didn't expect Gunther to win, but I think it was the right decision generally. Overall, a show filled with great segment and some very good matches capped off with a great Main Event ."
