[7.0] "A solid event where the bad stuff (the Rumble, the tag match and the Kouki/Gochika debacle) is subsumbed by the good-to-great stuff (everything other match particularly Utami/Sareee and MIRAI/Yamaoka). The match length element of the event is mostly booked very well too with the lesser matches not going for too long and the superior matches going long enough but not becoming flabby (possible exception in the case of Sakurai vs Miku). The booking of the results is mostly smart too with such cases of Yuzuki continuing her assent and Utami finishing her story with Utami whilst putting the main belt on an actual roster member. The booking of Seri is smart too as she deserves to stand out from her debut onwards seeing as she's already great."

[7.0] "I honestly don't understand why people say this event was bad. Yes, it wasn't the best thing in the world, but it wasn't bad either, but well, that's their opinion and this is mine. The show starts with a childish battle royal that nobody cares about where Yuuki Mashiro wins after tickling Minami Yuuki, I wish this would happen in a Royal Rumble, nah, just kidding. MIRAI vs. Seri Yamaoka is the best debut match for a female wrestler in recent years, it's not a perfect match by any means, but the truth is that it was a great fighter and Seri transmits many feelings, and that's her first match, a great future is guaranteed for Seri. The match between Victoria Yuzuki and Natsumi Showzuki had two serious botches and some coordination errors, which is normal since Victoria has been in the business for a very short time and is only 20 years old (at that time she was 19), I was entertained by the match even though I disconnected in the sequences where those botches appeared, and that's why I understand that not everyone was entertained by this match because they didn't look so confident in the ring. I think that Marigold's problem today is that there are too many rookies and they are obviously too green. The match for the tag team titles was a huge waste of time, Tank showed why she is called that, and that is because she literally not only looks like a tank, but she moves like a tank, so it was complete crap. The other tag team match was too long for how boring it was, the only interesting thing was Meiko vs. Nanae. I'm not going to comment on the match between Kouki and Goto because that would be a bit cruel, since Kouki was injured and she tried to continue the match, even though it was known that she couldn't. From what I saw before the injury, it was entertaining and I could tell that Kouki was trying hard to put on a good fight, but after the match, as it was clear it would happen, it became boring and they finished it in a few minutes. The match between Sakurai and Aono seemed pretty good to me, Miku Aono is underrated and Mai Sakurai is very good for only being in the business for 5 years, so good match and congratulations to Mai Sakurai. And in the main event, it was clear from afar that Sareee and Utami were on another level in comparison to the other joshi wrestlers. The best fight of the year so far in the women's category, a great match, Sareee is absolutely elite, and Utami, despite not being in her prime (her prime was 2021, 2022), continues to give great matches, and she shows that she is the new face of Marigold, congratulations to Utami. But now if Sareee leaves Marigold, then I'm afraid that Utami will have no rivals, because if you think about it, there is almost no one who can seriously have a rivalrie with Utami for that title, so we'll see."

[5.0] "This was a very disappointing show overall for me the rumble match was forgettable really long and boring. MIRAI vs Seri Yamaoka was a fun watch with the hype Seri had heading into the match MIRAI was good in it as well. Victoria Yuzuki vs Natsumi Showzuki was good but there is definitely a better one in them. The women's tag title match was bad, & the the other women's tag match was highlighted by Meiko Satomura-Nanae Takahashi went a little to long for me. Kouki Amarei vs Chika Goto- Kouki got injured in this so that was unfortunate I was enjoying what I seeing until the injury derailed the match. Mai Sakurai vs Miku Aono was a really great match there were some awkward spots here & there but still really enjoyed it. Mai having her big moment by winning was great with year she had, and Miku had a good reign as well. Utami Hayashishita vs Sareee was match of the night and these 2 had a banger of the match to me worth checking out. Overall for special event it was average for me the match quality wasn't consistent enough tonight for being a 4 hour show to score any higher and the some performances or matches didn't really meet or exceeded expectations. The major title changes made & the 2 final matches was keeping me from putting a lower score."

[7.0] "With this being the first event in 2025 for Marigold there were highs and lows with the highs being the two last matches, there were a couple of low matches. Rumble Match: A fine rumble match to get the PPV started off, mainly consisting of rookies and outsiders, a few comedy spots, the action was okay to watch, nothing special, did what it needed to, which was to get the crowd warmed up for the show [**]. MIRAI vs Seri Yamaoka: A fair amount of mat wrestling to settle Seri in for her debut match, a solid showing for Seri against the more experienced MIRAI, could have been shorter time wise as it went to a time limit draw, Seri asked for a bit more time and went on for about 7 more minutes in which Seri had a couple of chances to get the upset win but didn't [**3/4]. Victoria Yuzuki vs Natsumi Showzuki: A fast start to this one in which they had a solid back and forth match with a surprise title change to end the match, Yuzuki had consistently improved since her debut and winning here was a good decision [***1/4]. Bozilla & Tank vs CHIAKI & Nagisa Nozaki: An underwhelming match that was not that interesting, was needed to be booked differently, not worthy of being a PPV [*]. Nanae Takahashi & Nao Ishikawa vs Meiko Satomura & YUNA: The highlight of this match being Meiko and Nanae, the rookies in this match YUNA and Ishikawa did an okay showing, Meiko being in Marigold was good to see, this match was decent to watch [***3/4]. Kouki Amarei vs Chika Goto: An average match if I am being honest, they did not get the time to really get things going in this one [**]. Mai Sakurai vs Miku Aono: A great match between these two, the styles clash from the second rope looked cool, when Miku hit Mai with a styles clash and she kicked out at 1 was surprising, they have great chemistry and it showed within the ring, the secondary title changing hands was suprising and intriguing to see how the reign of Mai turns out [****1/4]. Utami Hayashishita vs Sareee: An absolute banger of a main event between these two, the two best Marigold wrestlers putting on a classic to start the year of 2025, Utami winning the title for the title change from Sareee was nice to see and hope she has a great title reign [****3/4]"

[7.0] "The Rumble at the beginning was fine for what it was. Featuring rookies and outsiders, the wrestling wasn't anything special and it was mostly focused on comedy spots, but it was entertaining enough throughout with Yuki Mashiro picking up the win (5/10). MIRAI vs Seri in the latter's debut match was really good. Seri lived up to the Super Rookie hype, already showing a better understanding of selling and psychology than most other joshi. A lot of mat wrestling to settle Seri in, and maybe they could have shortened that a little bit before moving on, but that's a nitpick. MIRAI played up being a heel here to get the crowd behind Seri, which was smart. Not satisfied with a draw, Seri asked for more time and the match continued. Seri had her opportunities to pull off the upset, but MIRAI's experience won out in the end. One of the best debut matches (8/10). The Superfly Championship match between Yuzuki and Natsumi was good. Got off to a fast start, good action throughout and a cool finish with Yuzuki hitting three moonsaults to win her first title (7/10). The Twin Star Championship match sucked. The lack of effort and cohesion showed how thrown together this match was. Bozilla was the only one who really tried, but that was in vain with everything else being a mess. Tank was the worst, absolutely awful. CHIAKI and Nagisa's short reign comes to an end in a match that everyone would rather forget (1/10). The Nanae/Nao vs Meiko/YUNA tag match was pretty good. Nao and YUNA did well. This was at its best when Meiko and Nanae were beating each other up, which there could have been more of. A perfectly fine filler match in the middle of the show (6.5/10). Kouki vs Gochika for the GHC Championship suffered from an unfortunate injury that cut the match short. Kouki hurt her knee and they went to the finish quickly after she was barely able to continue. It's a shame because prior to that this was on its way to being a solid match. Hopefully, Kouki is okay and they can have a proper rematch (3/10). Mai vs Miku for the United National Championship got the show back on track with a very good match. This had a lot of trademark big title match spots and they pulled it off well. A lot of big moves and plenty of dramatic moments make this enjoyable to watch. Mai looks like a worthy new champion as her hard work pays off (8.5/10). The main event between Utami and Sareee for the Marigold World Championship was excellent. There wasn't any time wasted, everything that happened mattered. Great storytelling throughout the match and they never felt the need to go overboard by doing anything too crazy. Utami getting the win and becoming the new champion was a satisfying moment as Marigold begins the new year with its new Ace at the top (10/10). Marigold First Dream was a good show with a lot of highs but some lows as well. I was going back and forth on 7 or 8, 7/10"

[8.0] "This was a solid show from a young promotion with about five solid matches in all. Many wrestlers debuted new looks and it gave the promotion a much better energy. Mirai vs Seri Yamaoka was special. I'm not sure I've ever seen such an impressive debut as this was Seri's first ever match. Victoria Yuzuki vs Natsumi Showzuki had the potential to be a great match but the bottom rope issues really screwed Yuzuki over, as she uses the bottom rope for springboard spots. The WrestleUniverse chat was complaining about the loose bottom rope all night. The tag match with Nanae and Meiko was fun to watch, and so were the last two title matches. My biggest complaints would be the tag match, opening rumble match, and the dangerous ring conditions as the bottom rope was loose all night long. I also prefer the original singles champions, but understand that they put the titles on the future of Marigold. However, Tank is way too green to be holding a title, even if it's a tag belt."

[8.0] "A good show with one of the best Rookie debuts in a long while. Seri Yamaoka is one to watch and Mirai put her to the test! Going to a draw after some solid mat wrestling and some really good suplexes and takedowns. Seri asked to continue, and they went longer until a definitive finish. Mirai showing hr strength and experience and winning with her amazing lariat. That match and the main 2 title matches are all worth seeing, I was a fan of the Superfly title match too. Nice to see Yuzuki get her moment. 2025 starting with new champions and showing the direction Marigold is heading. Unfortunate to see Kouki get injured in her match, as they had some real potential to impress. But they'll get another chance."

[3.0] "This show is really just a 2 card show, the mari vs miku and the main event are the two best matches on the show. The rest are pretty ok, but for a big new year show, it is pretty disappointing. The tag title match being the worst match on the card by far, which is sad as I was hoping for something more. Disappointing show overall, Sareee has been hardcarrying the shows for the entire year and seems that will continue in 2025 even tho she is no longer the champ."

[6.0] "A show carried by its main event and opener. Marigold continues to struggle when the main players aren't in the forefront. And the roster being so thin. The undercard unfortunately has not developed like I would have hoped this year. I hope the roster develops next year as the promotion continues to grow. With that said, Mirai and Seri Yamaoka had a great opener and one of the best first matches for a talent I have seen. Sareee continues to demonstrate she very well may be the best in the world, as well."

[9.0] "This was a very good show and everything you expected to deliver it did with the lowest points from the show being the Twin Star title match and Kouki's injury. Seri Yamaoka's debut was an absolute success and one of the best debuts in years followed by the crowning moment of Victoria Yuzuki which seemed to be a clear statement from the promotion about the future. At the top of the card, both the World and United National titles matches were amazing and must watch. Great show."

[8.0] "This was Marigold's third biggest event, behind the first event, Fields Forever and first ppv Summer Destiny. First Dream came up just short of those two outings. The highs were on par, but a few matches here were really unfortunate. However they didn't ruin the night for me, as it seems to have done for others. The debut of Seri was perfectly done. The three title matches, the Superfly, the United National and the main event World title match were as good a trio of matches as you'll see anywhere."

[7.0] "The first big show for Marigold without the starpower of Giulia nor the assistance of WWE lending talent was mostly a success. Aided mainly by the incredible two headline matches, Marigold's biggest concern moving forward would be aiming to flesh out it's mid - lower card that is not yet able to keep up with the premier talent."
LadySnowblood wrote on 04.01.2025:
[5.0] "First Dream was a mixed bag with few decent matches but also a lot of not so good performances. Yes the roster is young and don't have the experience, but then don't put these wrestlers into some situations and match ups where there not belong yet. Slow a bit down. Kouki got injured unfortunately. The main event was the best match of the show but not really outstanding (7/10). Meiko and Nanae were interesting and the new Rookie was allright. 4 title changes were a bit too much. Again, slow down. No one will remenber some of the shorter title reigns in a couple of months. Give them some time."

[2.0] "Whoever's job it was to get the Marigold roster ready for First Dream, they failed. Maybe Rossy put too much pressure on them going up against Stardom on Tokyo Dome weekend, but this made a developing promotion look like it had barely reached baby-steps. They lumped too much onto Seri's shoulders, and the 'Super Rookie' proved she can shoot wrestle, which we already knew, and little else. The Tank situation is really worrying, and the GHC match went from unfortunate to ugly real quick. The only unmitigated disaster was the Superfly title match, showcasing how quickly Champion and Challenger can mess up sequences. The top four performers put in average performances for their standard, but this show demonstrated that Marigold's roster can fall apart when they're asked to step into the big leagues. Worrying as a fan of their first year's output."

Would quickly recommend making a page for Seri Yamaoka so we can rate her incredible debut match, but besides that, these folks came to show out. Seri, MIRAI, Yuzuki, Mai Sakurai, Sareee, and Utami. That's how it should be."
RecklessOne wrote on 04.01.2025:
[9.0] "One of Marigold's best shows. Every match except the team match was on a good level. Too bad Kouki got injured because they were just getting hyped up and ended the match after a few minutes. But otherwise very happy for Yuzuki, Sakurai and Utami. Considering the amount of newcomers to the promotion, Rossi squeezed out what he could. I hope it continues. Now he'll have to think about who else he can use from Freelance or other promotions."

"A very bad show, among watchable matches I can highlight Yamaoka/MIRAI, Satomura/Nanae and Mainevent. There are a lot of botches in the rest of the matches. The management needs to train the wrestlers and change the main referee. Don't buy PPV, you'll ruin your mood."
