Beide Teams können sich auf ihre Stärken konzentrieren und der Sieg der GYV machte da auch mehr Sinn. Runder Opener. Mit Hanako werde ich weiterhin nicht warm. Cameron ist dann im Ring auch noch nicht die Berreicherung und so kommt halt nur ein mittelmäßiges Match dabei raus. Die beiden anderen Tag Team Matches fand ich aber beide solide. Die Tag Team Szene bei ROH könnte also gut gebookt werden wenn man wollte. Genug Teams die auch von der Crowd Reaktionen bekommen hat man auf jeden Fall. |

Ring of Honor clearly is spending more money than it has before on running in this build than it has, though I have to say I feel the way they did it in the past was much better. The Hammerstein Ballroom used to feel like a huge venue for ROH, but now with how well the building is lit it feels so much smaller than it used to. Ian and Caprice are a great announce team. The opening match was okay, and I say that even though I don't care for The Dark Order. At least in the match they're teasing tension, so perhaps there will be some kind of needed break up. I don't understand why HANAKO is in Ring of Honor, unless it's truly meant to be some kind of developmental brand. Even then, this card is meant to sell us on a pay per view, so why showcase someone who is so green that she probably shouldn't even be on television? Harley isn't much better, so that match was the low point of the card. I enjoyed The Undisputed Kingdom wrestling The Infantry, and that was certainly the highlight of the card. The main event was okay. Again, I have to think about the point of the shows when grading this, and I don't feel the need to buy Final Battle after watching this. |

James Drake & Zack Gibson vs Alex Reynolds & John Silver: A fine opening match on Zero Hour, the distraction from Evil Uno towards the end was not needed, GYV getting the win was good to see if the action was average [**1/4]. HANAKO vs Harley Cameron: An okay match with two wrestlers involved that are inexperienced and constantly improving, the timing and the pacing were just right [**]. Matt Taven & Mike Bennett vs Carlie Bravo & Shawn Dean: A strong match from these two teams, they had a competitive back and forth match, The Infantry gave a good fight even in defeat to the more experienced The Kingdom [***]. Bishop Kaun & Toa Liona vs EJ Nduka & Lee Johnson: A fun Zero Hour closing match that had it's moments like Kaun hitting the powerbomb on Johnson onto the steel steps, the in ring work was solid [***]. |
