[7.0] "A pretty mixed bag but overall the highs are great to the point where it's a good show. Loved the main event, opener, and the 3rd match. Unfortunately the tag and women's match weren't good at all. Harley cameron isn't good and Deonna has declined for sure. But a good show overall."
"9/10... Enjoyed this show, I'm liking the way Revolution is building up. Of course whenever you have a match that includes Takeshita you're in for a hell of a match. Trios match was good also, and slowly but surely Harley Cameron is starting to become a fun star to watch on AEW."
[8.0] "Very fun episode. I am a week late watching, so I don't see much point in doing a full review, but I really enjoyed this show. The crowd were great, everything flowed nicely and the main event was great."
[8.0] "This was a fabulous episode of Dynamite as every prime story towards Revolution was built in a great pattern of enmity (Moxley/Copeland, Swerve/Ricochet, Hangman/MJF, etc.) and respect (Garcia/Cole). The main event was a masterful sprint while Death Riders have finally been neutralized in a supreme sequence of assaults. Otherwise, the show had great in-ring quality and strong segments to excel the arc of the PPV."
[9.0] "It was REALLY a great episode of Dynamite! The show opened with a strong segment and it never looked back after that. Damn, it actually might be one of the best Dynamites in recent history: one fantastic match after another, meaningful promos progressing the storylines - everything felt meaningful and intentional, no spinning wheels this time. There isn't even a single thing for me to complain about. I just found it funny how Daniel Garcia ditched his original tag team partners after a series of loses in favor of two buff men, previous tag team champions. And still wasn't able to pick up the win, btw. Cole vs Garcia for the TNT title doesn't make much sense to me. After all the six-man tag team battles he and the Undisputed Kingdom have gone through, now he's going for the singles gold? Of course Adam Cole won't win the title at Revolution and the match was added more for marketing purposes than anything else. Which is a shame, because there was no need to - the card for Revolution already looked stacked as hell."
[4.0] "Other than a fairly recent main this episode of Dynamite was all over the place. It is like they have just thrown the rule book away. Maybe I'm just set in my ways but I like my wrestling to follow some simple givens - like good guys against bad guys."
[4.0] "This show felt like an extension of AEW's continual decline in to mediocrity, with some decent matches. First the positives. Will Ospreay vs Bryan Keith was pretty good, an enjoyable match with a little story that didn't overshadow the in ring wrestling. Takeshita vs Cassidy was another good match, very good in ring with a predictable ending though. Now the bad. Several matches just didn't click especially the Outrunners vs Cage and Archer. But, overall, the show felt flat. LOTS of recap videos of things that happened last week. Everything was very predictable. Very basic story telling. Promos that were a little overly dramatic, scripted, and didn't feel real at all. And the Death Riders... they keep getting beat pretty bad every week by Cope and White, are they coward heels or dominant heels? Where is AEW going with this? So while there was some to like about this, and as always with AEW there are at least a few good matches, overall I didn't like this, it didn't make me want to keep watching every week."
[8.0] "Another really great episode of Dynamite. Strong matches throughout with Takeshita VS Orange being the standout - a great main event! UK Vs Garcia & FTR was another really good trio's match and should probably lead to UK winning the titles. Ospreay Vs Keith was a good opener. This episode also had good promos with Hangman / MJF and Swerve / Ricochet featuring heavily. Death Riders Vs Copeland storyline progresses nicely. Wasn't a big fan of the Outrunners beating Murder Machines (it was due to Hurt Syndicate interference so not too much of a worry) (8/10)"
[8.0] "Honestly, I thought this show was great. There were a number of great matches and the promo segments all hit well and pushed the story forward. MJF and Hangman had a good segment (despite the minor production shenanigans) and the segment was great. The swerve/ Ricochet promo really delivered as well. Everything that happened with the Cope/Mox stuff really slapped. Jay whites addition to this feud has been inspired, and willow hitting that conchairto was a shock. Loved the show."
[6.0] "Some decent promo segments as well as a decent opener and main event. The other matches weren't so good but I think you can mostly overlook them and take the entire thing as an okayish episode. The big problem is evident even when looking up and down this card on paper. There's not a whole lot to care about, not in match-ups or results. Ospreay vs Keith. Okay match but who cares? The Murder Machines look for a moment like they might finally be doing more than crushing jobbers, that there might finally be some monster heels on the scene, but they lose with a shitty roll up so that The Outrunners can jump into a title shot with no build and likely lose. I think The Outrunners have shown that they can have a pretty good match with the right opponent but as an angle, who cares? Anything six man tag is "Who cares? " by default, especially with guys like Garcia jumping around between so many groups. Harley beats Deonna in a bad match which I think will do nothing but build a little resentment towards Harley. Not only does it not seem right to see someone so green go over a veteran who should be in her prime like Deonna Purazzo, it doesn't look realistic. You could have never practiced a sport in your life, never taken a martial arts or pro wrestling class, and you'd still be able to spot a lack of co-ordination a mile away. It's natural to have that early on but they need to figure this Harley thing out another way. I'm hoping she can put it together but sensible booking and development are needed. Then we have the main event which was a pretty good match with an outcome more than obvious due to the way they've structured the match and title defence against Kenny as the main prize over the title itself. Even the match itself had a few faults in the way big moves were shrugged off towards the end so that the action could be escalated. Get your shit in if you must but why can't professional wrestlers act hurt whilst doing it? There's too much in pro wrestling which is just accepted and/or tolerated, but I could go on all day about that. Overall still a watchable episode despite the flaws."
[8.0] "AEW Dynamite was very good this whole month of February. This episode displayed everything and The Death Riders segment was entertaining as we saw Adam Copeland and Willow Nightingale take out Shafir, and Claudio with chairs to the skull. The Ricochet promo was very solid as he has been a superstar since arriving at AEW, and the Main Event delivered as we know who Kenny Omega will face for the AEW International Championship on the line at AEW Revolution. Overall a very solid episode."
[8.0] "The build to Revolution since leaving the loop of the southern states has been really good, and even with this being a little more laid back compared to other shows, it still was really good. Not good enough for a 9/10, but enough for an 8/10. They've really got into a stride of being an easy, entertaining watch as of late."
[9.0] "Felt the show was really good! The progression towards Revolution has been super fun, and the show only had one real miss for me tonight, while also having a match heavily overdeliver. The Hangman Adam Page and MJF feud has continued to progress really well, and the attack on Christopher Daniels deepens the proof the fans have that Hangman, despite his recent issues, is a good person, while MJF is petty enough to brutalize uninvolved persons just to get at a rival. The first long match of the night, between Will Ospreay and Bryan Keith, was excellent fast paced wrestling. Bryan Keith has done well with Jericho's faction, but, man, he's made to be The Bounty Hunter. Will Ospreay got the win with a beautiful Styles Clash into a Hidden Blade, and almost immediately started going after Kyle Fletcher. I liked that, despite being the heel, Fletcher didn't back down, instead brawling with Ospreay in the arena before security pulled them apart. Next, we saw Mercedes' segment, which I really liked, as it planted the seeds for multiple angles while selling the Momo Watanabe match really well. Billie Starkz appearance is a strong sign that the long term plan is still Mercedes vs Athena, likely at ALL IN Texas. Now, we have the one point deduction of the night, The Outrunners vs Murder Machines. They simply didn't seem to have much chemistry, and The Outrunners are not a particularly great in-ring team overall. The finish was also mediocre, and, while it protected Murder Machines, I feel it overcomplicated this tag division angle. Moving on, Swerve & Nana had a great, storied segment, which lead into Ricochet coming out and refusing a rematch, until relenting when learning Tony Khan had signed off on it being for a world title shot. I really liked the post confrontation talk Nana and Swerve had about the robe, as it felt earnest and very in-character. The next match up was the trios match between Undisputed Kingdom and FTGaRcia. This overdelivered! They had immediate chemistry, and it had the crowd rocking with a LOT of great, fast moving spots. The finish was really good too, with FTR and Garcia getting too cute, and the ever-intelligent Adam Cole taking advantage. Really looking forward to the matches that were created from this for Collision. After this, Cope tried to get the jump on Claudio backstage, but, as they brawled into the arena, the numbers game gave the Death Riders the advantage, until Jay White intervened, and Yuta accidentally hit Marina with the running knee. Cope delivered the Con-Chair-To to Claudio, but Willow, who has been attacked over and over again by The Death Riders, had the honor of swinging the chair to Marina's head. All but Yuta have been written off, headed into Revolution. Harley gave Deonna her best match in a while, and debuted a nice looking finisher to boot. I enjoy The Vendetta act, but am more intrigued by the prospect of a third member than anything. Now, onto the main event, where we got a Dynamite MOTYC! Konosuke Takeshita and Orange Cassidy are two of the best in the world, for fairly different reasons. Their chemistry was instant, and it felt like they had fought many times before. Amazing counter, beautiful bumps, the match had it all. In that final minute, I was almost convinced OC would be facing Omega! Instead, we get a vicious Raging Fire, and Takeshita retained in an amazing ending to AEW Dynamite. Built up my hype for Revolution to very high heights!"
[6.0] "A solid show with some nice progression on programs with Adam Page/MJF and Shane Strickland/Ricochet currently being my favorite feuds in the company. An enjoyable main event between Orange Cassidy and Konosuke Takeshita made for the best match of the show."
[8.0] "AEW just doesn't seem to want to miss lately and puts on another banger show. The opening angle between MJF and Hangman was good. Hangman has now fully transitioned into a babyface and I can't wait for their match at Revolution. Ospreay vs. Keith was a really good opener. Keith has been really impressing me lately, hope they can keep giving him chances to prove himself. Backstage angle with Mercedes and Billy Starkz was interesting, perhaps it'll lead to a match between the two. Murder Machines vs. Outrunners was bad. Wrong decision with having the Outrunners win, they're entertaining and very over with the live audience but they're far below average as in-ring wrestlers. Archer & Cage would've been a much better choice as challengers. FT-Garcia vs. Undisputed Kingdom was really good. UK have been lifting the trios division lately and I'm glad the long teased Cole vs. Garcia is happening. Ricochet/Swerve promo was great. Ricochet gets better week after week, he doesn't want to be a cool heel, he doesn't care about having a sad backstory, he's just prick and he's doing the work of a lifetime. Loved how they raised the stake adding the number one contender to the world title stipulation. Deonna vs. Harley was fine. Cope, White & Willow taking out the Death Rider was entertaining as hell. Mox/Cope rivalry has gotten exponentially better after Grand Slam. Loved all three proudly watching the ambulance leave, great shot. Takeshita vs. OC was the best match of the night, wondeful main event. Overall: the match quality was really good, main event in particular and the storyline progression was great with good angles furthering the stories. TK is finally taking advantage of the stacked roster he has, he's using all the stars and the card of Revolution is the best looking card AEW has put on paper. We're eating good."
[8.0] "Overall another really good TV show heading into Revolution. This past month has been really entertaining and I am digging the storylines and rivalries for the most part, including even the Copeland/Death Riders storyline that has really picked up steam. Best match of the night was the main event, but I also really liked the physicality in the trios match. Hangman was on fire in the opening segment."
"9/10 Man, this week's Dynamite was a banger! They really nailed the mix of action, promos, and building up Revolution . The Takeshita-Cassidy match blew me away--no surprises there, those two always kill it. The rest of the card was solid too, and thank god they're finally mixing up the finishes. None of that "same old, same old" crap we've seen too much of lately. The feuds right now are where it's at. MJF and Hangman are straight-up fire, and Swerve and Ricochet are my jam. The Moxley-Cope thing is growing on me too--Cope's out here wrecking everyone Mox cares about, and it just works . Revolution 's lineup looks stacked. Last year's was AEW's best PPV hands down, and this year's shaping up to be just as good, if not better. They're really stepping up the booking lately--keeping things fresh without overcomplicating it. Can't wait to see how they top themselves this time around!"
[9.0] "There's an old school of thought that your show is only as good as your opener and main event. Dynamite had maybe a couple of lulls in the middle (the Ourunners/Murder Machines was a complete mess) but the opening angle was very strong and the main event was incredible and steered the show from good to great providing a proper exclamation point. There was enough compelling stuff in the middle to make this episode worthwile too, the Ospreay match was great as always and the post match was great. The Trios match was a lot of fun, served its purpose and set up two matches for Collision one of which will be very good for certain and the other one will be very intriguing and also kind of major. Harley Cameron continues her wave of momentum as well which is nice to see. The Cope stuff is interesting because while it is very much not for me, it seems over and they have done a very good job from an objective point of view. Anyway, the things I didn't like here I didn't feel that strong about but the things I liked I did so maybe I'm generous but I thought it was a great show!"
[8.0] "The good AEW show run continues. GREAT main event, their best of the year so far. Trios match was good stuff too, building to a pretty solid Collison card this Saturday. Ospreay/Keith also good. Promo wise, much preferred the MJF/Hangman stuff compared to last week, and Ricochet/Swerve/Nana were superb once again. Revolution has the potential to be a pretty great PPV all things considered...even the Death Riders stuff has not been as bad the past few weeks, and the crowds seem into it."
[8.0] "Another very good Dynamite that did everything it had to do for the Revolution build up. Death Riders storyline is finally good with Copeland taking out the members one by one, last saturday it was PAC, now it's Claudio and Marina! Maybe the execution could have looked better especially with Willow doing the con-chairto, and why FTR does not help Cope anymore? They were on the show tonight, also why no Gunns with Jay White? I hope it all ends at the PPV, Cope could win and Christian cash in I don't care. MJF/Hangman Page keeps getting better, MJF removed the AEW tattoo on his calf because he's only betting on himself now, Hangman is a great babyface and got concerned of Christopher Daniels being hurt by Maxwell. Swerve/Ricochet was a great promo, Ricochet got some massive heat, the match is now for a shot at the AEW Championship, I love that, Prince Nana cut a passionate promo after this, the old Swerve might be back soon! So all the promos/segments delivered but what about the matches? Will Ospreay vs "Bounty Hunter" Bryan Keith was very good, they gave enough for Bryan Keith to shine a little and show his potential, but not too much so Ospreay can still look like the big deal, then we almost got a brawl with Fletcher in the crowd! I like the Outrunners winning and having an opportunity for the tag titles, but the match with Archer and Brian Cage was kinda mid, Harley Cameron vs Deonna was also not very good as they really tried to make Harley a more serious babyface fighter, she should stay more "comedic" except for important matches. Undisputed vs FTR & Garcia was the barn burner AEW need to have more on their weeklys, what a freakin good match, I have nothing against Daniel Garcia but I hope Adam Cole win saturday, TNT champion should be a bigger name and Garcia could elevate ROH a little more with the Pure or even the world championship. Takeshita vs Orange Cassidy was awesome, Orange's antic baited his opponent to the beach break on the table spot, great near fall at the end with that "roll up bomb" Kenny Omega announced for Collision, both AEW's weekly shows are can't miss!"
"10/10 not sure how an episode can get better, aside from perhaps a crazy shock surprise/return. This show started hot with the Hangman/MJF angle, Ospreay/BK was super fun as we expected (BK was a great pick up and had incredible facials), trios was fantastic, Donna/Harley was really good, the DR segment was good, show-long storyline with Cope is compelling, love the Outrunners shock win, main event was insane and the video packages were great. Imagine putting on a phenomenal wrestling show without a 15min long promo.... TK is in his bag and the company is on fire right now. Revolution looks insane."
[8.0] "An interesting episode of Dynamite this week with developments for upcoming shows and PPV (Revolution). Ricochet and Swerve Strickland had an interesting verbal exchange, which ended with Prince Nana interestingly teasing splitting from Strickland if he cannot get the robe back from Ricochet and I hope Ricochet and Swerve have a rematch like the challenge was laid out during the segment. Mercedes Mone had an interesting segment when Billie Starkz got involved which led to an appearance from the Revolution opponent for Mone in Momo Watanabe. Adam Page vs Aaron Solo: A squash match where Page got a win and built momentum heading into his match with MJF at Revolution, post match with MJF was a good addition to the build of their PPV match and their rivalry [DUD]. Will Ospreay vs Bryan Keith: Keith got his moment to shine which was fine, but let's face it he was not gonna win this one, Ospreay got the win which was not surprising, their styles did mix quite well and it resulted in a good match [***1/2]. Truth Magnum & Turbo Floyd vs Brian Cage & Lance Archer: With a potential tag team title opportunity at stake, I am surprised that The Outrunners got the win mainly due to The Hurt Syndicate distracting Archer when their music played, Archer and Cage was dominant as usual and The Outrunners as the underdogs got their offense in which made it an interesting match [***]. Adam Cole, Kyle O'Reilly & Roderick Strong vs Cash Wheeler, Daniel Garcia & Dax Harwood: Cole pinning Garcia was interesting (especially post match when Garcia vs Cole for Collision was announced for the TNT Title), Garcia having FTR as partners was the right call even in defeat, UE continue to show that they are a dominant trio within AEW [***1/2]. Harley Cameron vs Deonna Purrazzo: Harley had an impressive showing against a talent like Purrazzo which led to Harley getting the surprise win here, Purrazzo did well to help Harley look good in the ring and to get her a credible win [***]. Konosuke Takeshita vs Orange Cassidy: One of the better title defenses for Takeshita on TV (a non PPV defense), OC gave a gutsy performance only to be bested by Takeshita, the Beach Break on the announce table spot looked decent, the ending sequence was cool to watch [****1/4]"
