Mein Match of the Night gab es im Opener.

The rivarly between Adam Page and Christopher Daniels is getting heated up, and the rest of the card was pretty okay. But the TNT Title bout was definitely worth a watch."

[4.0] "Same as Dynamite too much bad things to see here. The majority of matches were total forgettable. Title matches don't feel like Title matches. There aren'T any homegrown talents who stand out or can push through the barrier blocked by that oldtimers, who won't get them over like Y2J or JJ. Edge also is in the main event picture for both AEW and ROH, but atleast he doesn't feel that old in the ring. However, he should also let younger guys fight for gold. He does not need it. He can work SL lwithout titles on the line like the Undertaker did the last few years of his career. Despite a relative huge crowd, often times it was silent like on a boneyard. Most SL are not intersting to me and that abundance of bad booking decision still proves that Tony Khan IS the worst booker of wrestling ever. Even more worse thatn Jeff Russo on his baddest days. The semi main event was the best match as a sidenote."

Collision has been an easy to watch show for a long time, this one felt like a slog to get through. 5.5/10 but rounded up due to the great opener (6/10)"

Guter Auftakt in die Show. Jarrett gegen Solo war halt da. Crowd liebt Jarrett. Match war murks. Vom Tag Team Titelmatch war ich enttäuscht. Da hatte ich mir deutlich mehr von beiden Teams erwartet. Beide Teams können mehr und daher war das hier wirklich nichts besonderes. Schade drum. Super Rookie Toni Storm holt einen überraschenden Sieg gegen Purrazzo. Ich liebe das Gimmick von Toni Storm als Rookie. Niemand kann sich so schon freuen. Mein MOTN war das Four Way Match. Das war echt gut für die 10 Minuten. Cage als Sieger geht auch vollkommen klar. Gerne wieder. Der Main Event war dann noch ein anständiges Trios Match. Jerichos Schwächen wurden gut überdeckt durch die Teams. Rated FTR war gut over bei den Fans. Schönes Match zum Abschluß der Show."

[5.0] "The first episode of Collision of 2025 ends up being a huge letdown in my opinion. Collision will forever be the B-Show and from what I've seen theirs not a lot to be interested about in general. The Elton John theme song is back and it was awesome! It gave Collision that feeling. The opener was the best match of the night. Garcia and Briscoe really showed what the TNT belt was all about. Jarrett squashed Aaron Solo in a skippable squash before we went to Private Party vs. Andretti & Rush. This was super underwhelming on all parts and Private Party's Tag Title run has been pretty tame...and their teasing Cope and Jericho in a match in 2025. Good god who thought that was a good idea? Storm vs. Purrazzo was surprisingly decent and Storm's character work was a highlight. The $100, 000 Four Way was decent as well and gave this Collision more of a lift. Then good god, The main event was just underwhelming. I mean what do you expect from FTR and The Learning Tree atp. This was slow and uninteresting. The ending was bad. I mean bad for The Deathriders. Why are they targeting old people now, It's straying from the goal and now they look like cowards. Just very uninteresting. [**3/4]"

[8.0] "I don't know how many of you noticed, but the original Collision theme performed by Elton John is back! It's not the only thing that is back, though - pre-show promos are back as well! You gotta love it. It was the first Collision after the Continental Classic was concluded, so I was curious to see if AEW would be able to pull off a great show without the tournament, and, surprisingly, they did. 1) "Rated FTR", "Ledgend" - I like what they are doing here. I'm still not sure how to feel about the "Cope" thing, but I think it will grow on me. 2) Why did "Private Party" bring back their old theme? I liked the new one more. It was a real banger. 3) A match where wrestlers fight for nothing but a cash prize is a simple yet interesting concept. It's a great way to excuse a random exhibiton match by giving it a semblance of meaning. I just wish a winner of the match was actually presented with a huge check like it's usually done in TV shows. Next week you could show us the winner cashing out the money, and spending the money on something stupid (if the winner is a heel) or donating the money to charity (if the winner is a face). 4) I'm happy to see Brian Cage picking up the victory in the aforementioned match. He has everything to be your main event star (granted, I haven't heard him on the mic, maybe that's his weak point, idk). Even though he's in the Don Callis Familly and appears on our screens from time to time, I still think he's criminally underutilized, as well as Lance Archer, for that matter. Overall, a good episode of Collision with wrestling matches ranging from decent to great, a couple of interesting segments, and progression of the world title storyline."

[6.0] "[6.0] Basically, it was an average episode of Collision and another letdown from AEW since starting simulcasting with MAX. The show began with Daniel Garcia defeating Mark Briscoe in a relatively long match. I thought it would end in a draw, and while I don't particularly care about either wrestler, the match was solid and worked well as an opener. Next came a lame-ass promo from The Death Riders. At this point, I'm just waiting for Moxley to move on from this program--he's clearly the weakest aspect of every show he's in right now. The second match featured Double J squashing Aaron Solo, but there's little to say about it beyond the fact that we're getting a ton of Double J matches this year (unfortunately). The third match saw Private Party defeating Action Andretti and Lio Rush in an underwhelming contest, with Dante Martin interfering to help Private Party win. At this point, Private Party feels irrelevant to the tag team division, which is at its lowest point ever. While Private Party occasionally delivers good matches, it's no longer enough to matter for AEW. I'm waiting patiently for The Outrunners to get a title run--the only new tag team I'm excited about. After the commercial break, there was a backstage segment with Cope and Jericho. Admittedly, even though Jericho is unwatchable in 2025, this segment was funny and did a great job building up to the main event. The fourth match featured Toni Storm defeating Deonna Purrazzo in a match that did little for either wrestler. Yes, they have history in Japan, and Toni's amnesia gimmick has potential, but AEW is dropping the ball by relegating "Amnesia Toni" promo segments to social media instead of showcasing them on TV. Everyone knows Toni is getting the title back in Australia, but there hasn't even been a Toni vs. Mariah interaction to build this feud. Toni lost her belt and never got her rematch, so she shouldn't need meaningless victories to become a contender. Hopefully, the Mariah feud starts soon. Another post-commercial backstage segment featured The Acclaimed arguing. It'll be interesting to see how this unfolds and who betrays whom. My guess? Bowens turns heel on Caster. In a really good backstage segment had Hangman confronting Christopher Daniels, resulting in Hangman slapping Daniels and Daniels responded attacking Hangman from behind. This hints at either a final Curry Man run or an SCU reunion. We'll see. The fifth match was a random fatal four-way, which Brian Cage won. It had some fun, high-speed sequences, but ultimately, it felt pointless. Lio Rush interfered to prevent Dante Martin from winning, setting up their future feud. In the final backstage segment FTR was backstage with RnR Express and they had a short but very entertaining interaction with The Outrunners before the main event, which exceeded expectations, even with Jericho involved. To my surprise, Jericho took the pin from Cope. Could Cope challenge for the ROH title? I doubt it, but it could bring much-needed attention to ROH. Post-match, Moxley attacked RnR Express backstage, prompting Rated FTR to intervene in another pointless Moxley segment. Overall, it was an enjoyable but unspectacular show. AEW must stop squandering special episodes; they need to add real stakes or else risk commoditizing the product, which alienates casual fans."

[5.0] "The matches are mostly fine but there's nothing to grab you with this. Nothing you need to see to keep up with current events, nothing which will make you tune in next week. I didn't care about any of it. I'm left wondering if for some reason the Rock N Roll Express are supposed to signify or represent whatever it is the Moxley crew are supposed to hate, otherwise they're just there for a pop. If the whole point was to get at FTR and that alone, wouldn't it have been better to go after someone they hadn't just apologsed to for beating up last time? It's not as if they've been on screen as long-time friends. In writing, especially when it comes to key plot points, you really have to make everything matter. AEW have also created a way for fans in attendence to chant "Cope! " over and over, which looks a PR disaster of a meme waiting to happen."

[5.0] "It sometimes feel like AEW can't stop taking 1 step forward and 2 steps backwards at times. Collision became close to being must-watch viewing during the Continental Classic season, but as soon as it has concluded and they make their Max debut for Collision, for some reason, they somewhat drop the ball. I could live with the Rated FTR vs Deathriders stuff on Dynamite somewhat, but I am really not convinced we then needed to follow that up with them facing The Learning Tree on Collision. Are people excited to see Adam Copeland and Chris Jericho in the ring again, in AEW, in 2025? I really don't think complaints that AEW is now a place where "old, has-beens from other companies hangout" are fair, but then having Copeland and Jericho face to face in the main event of an AEW show really doesn't help shake off that narrative. The match was fine for what it was and certainly wasn't bad, but I just think they could have put together a more exciting card and more compelling show on for the first episode of the year. The only really good match of the show, was the opener between Garcia and Mark Briscoe. I get that Wrestle Dynasty was on over the weekend, so that perhaps put the show in a difficult place. Hopefully next week's episode will demonstrate that this was just a blip and they put on a much better show."

But of the talent that were on the show tonight, they did enough that normally I'd give this the gentlemen's 7, but, well... even if you want to give Rated FTR another main event slot, I don't think that should come attached to the Learning Tree, which has always been positioned as an undercard act, getting one."

Hangman Page gets beat up backstage by Christopher Daniels, like WTF? I enjoyed the Private Party win over Action Andretti & Lio Rush. Toni Storm and Deonna Purrazzo was mid. I liked the Brian Cage 4-way win over Beast Mortos, Komander, and Dante Martin. Cash Wheeler was the shining piece of the main event, with FTR beating the Learning Tree. Why is it every time the Rock n' Roll Express appear on AEW they become victims? Can't we just honor these legends? Or maybe they should have cost FTR the win as retribution for what FTR did to them a few years ago? That would have been better than getting tied up as bait by the Death Riders."

Garcia fully given up his more serious attitude to dance and play to the audience like a shmuck having the slowest and softest match of Mark Briscoe's career. Hangman Adam Page, one of the most popular and brutal wrestlers on the AEW roster, getting punked by the embarrassment that is Christopher Daniels. "Cope" joking about The Learning Tree being The Ugly Tree and a fuckin' Jericho main event match. Does anyone at AEW actually know what fans want or care about? This is worse than WWE when Vince was still the boss."

[3.0] "A terrbile show that highlights everything that's wrong with AEW. Cristopher Daniels who was virtually retired gets the best of Hangman Page in a physical confrontation. The same guy who killed Swerve at All Out gets beaten by 50 year old GM. Private Party have a rather forgettable defense against Lio Rush and Action Andretti. The tag division has never felt less important that this. It's fucking dead. Private Party run as champion has been ass. Copeland and Jericho getting "holy shit" chants in 2025 shows that the crowd regressed to that 2019-22 WWE type crowd. The same crowd that would chant "thank you Vince" just because Stephanie Mcmahon told them to. There was a pointless four way match between four talented wrestlers who have no momentum and are just dead in the water. Instead of showcasing Toni Storm's new gimmick on TV, TK prefers to have pointless matches such as this one. The end of the show is comical. Moxley talks about changing AEW. He talks about burning a forest, to have a new starting to grow. And what does he do to change AEW? He tries to kill Rock n' Roll Express. That's just speaks for itself and I won't ever bother comment on why it sucks. This story has been a huge let down. They killed Danielson for nothing. It's a shame two talented individuals like Daniel Garcia and Mark Briscoe had to be on this show. This show ain't getting a zero simply because I really liked their match. Overall: a terrible show. The thought behind the Jeff Jarett is good but as a company struggling for momentum you should look to to your young main eventers and not a 66 year old midcarder. Private Party have been given nothing of note since winning the titles and didn't come out with any new direction here, the crowd wasn't invested because they were not given something to invest in. Everything about the Death Riders tonight sucked ass, everyone involved on the screen was a billion years old. Jericho is an interest killer, Copeland is trying too hard and Mox won't stop speaking in riddles. Also for someone who keeps saying the world is going to end and that he brings doom and all that crap, Moxley doesn't do jack shit, he tied some legends up, BIG DEAL. Ricochet stabbed Swerve Strickland in the head with a pair of scissors! The Hurt Syndicate beat up like 10-15 poor security guards whenever they're on TV. What have the Death Riders done post Bryan's retirement? Outside of Chuck Taylor being taken out and MAYBE pushing Darby down a flight of stairs it has all ranged from minor to downright silly. It feels like the fifth most heated/interesting feud in a company that's kinda cold anyways. Also, that Jericho/Cope exchange backstage was garbage filled with WWE-isms and references. This is 2025, we have wasted around 18 months of AEW's existence on bullshit and a bunch of wrestlers and writers trying to recreate mid 2010s WWE. Let's lock in and bring the best of AEW in 2021, no more sports entertaiment, no more "writing", no more comedy. just good ol fashioned professional wrestling: the thing that AEW used to be the home of."
