[5.0] "Much like the Royal Quest show, this was a very mid-level and forgettable show with lots of mediocre-good and nothing great. The crowd here were pretty sparse too (half as many as 2019) and they were almost silent the whole way through, really bad stuff. 5.5/10"

[7.0] "Solid show, of course there is gonna be a brunch of useless matches because of the show being a USA one which always leads to that but other than this the main-event event and a bunch of other matches are well worth seeing. Still a mixed bag but with way more ups than downs. ***1/2"

[7.0] "In my opinion, New Japan shows that take place in the US are very hit or miss. Sometimes they're great, other times they're bad. This one was very good throughout, with perhaps the only match I didn't think was all that good being the opening contest. This show did a LOT to build both Wrestle Kingdom and Wrestle Dynasty into the biggest shows possible, and it did so with a whole lot of new challengers and feuds going on after this show. I thought it was very successful in the story aspect, while maybe not so much in the wrestling/quality aspect."

[6.0] "This show felt like a lot of set up for future PPV such as Strong Style Evolve or Wrestle Dynasty whilst being an overall decent show! some of my highlights were Mustafa Ali vs Lio Rush, Gabe Kidd vs. Kosei Fujita, honestly aside from the WCWC & Lawlor/Rosser(which probably contender for my least favorite match of this year) everything from top to bottom is solid while some didn't live to my expectation it was still good to see some of the matches occur for example Takeshita vs. TJP! Looking forward to seeing more of the NJPW Strong Shows and hopefully they improve in certain aspect compare to this show"

[5.0] "Easily one of the most skippable and quickly forgettable American NJPW shows in the last few years. I'm sure as a live experience where you could see some of your favorite wrestlers for the first time it was a good time, but watching it from start to finish on VOD wasn't fun. I'd recommend cherry-picking ZSJ/Tito vs. Umino/Ishii (surprisingly strong interactions between ZSJ and Umino) and Kidd/Fujita, everything else was either a nice little match, a piece of business that served it's purpose or WCWC vs. Lawlor/Rosser (not a good match at all)."

[8.0] "Was there live and although the crowd was far from packed, I was amazed at how everyone was engaged for everything. Not sure how well it came across watching from home but the crowd was very loud the entire show. There was definitely some confusion with people assuming the show started at 8 PM and not 7 PM. There were more empty seats at the start of the show but it filled up a bit more by the third match Finlay vs Knight was a fine opener with Finlay doing great at getting the crowd to hate him while Knight got cheers for his athleticism. GYV defeating TMDK for the STRONG tag titles was surprising since TMDK just lost the IWGP Tag titles a few days prior and GYV arent in World Tag League. Rush vs Ali was good and the crowd was into it along with the womens four-way (Koguma won the hearts in attendance). The biggest surprise of the night was the Two out of Three falls tag match. The crowd was into it but I can definitely see this match not being well-liked when watching from home. The rules were very confusing and almost everyone missed them flash the rules on the screen (a very small screen). Took a bit for us to figure out the stipulations but the ridiculously and over-the-top stops made us enjoy it more. This felt like the last essence of NJPW STRONG with a storyline that has nothing to do with NJPWs main product and that goes on for far too long. It was nice to see WCWC get the win. They shouldve done more tours in Japan how they havent been in WTL is beyond me and potentially join a faction like BULLET CLUB or even House of Torture. KENTA vs Oiwa was fine with KENTA being very over with the crowd and Oiwa being new to most that were there but he got a great reaction by the end of the night. LIJ vs The Undisputed Kingdom was a basic tag match and the Jack Perry run-in was not expected. Bad Dude Tito was the most popular man of the night and he looked pleasantly surprised by it. Big Teets deserved the recognition. That tag match was good with Shota showing good fire and great chemistry with Ishii. The Mox angle afterward was cool and Shota cursing hyped everyone up. He seems destined to follow Naitos path of rejected hero turned most popular wrestler in the company. The AEW International title match was good but not great. I may have had higher expectations for this one. Shingo vs TAKESHITA with Ishii involved on the road to Wrestle Kingdom or after sounds great. The main event was match of the night with Fujita and Kidd delivering. Both impressed the crowd and set-up for Oiwa vs Kidd at Strong Style Evolved was nice. Oiwas English was really good and its wild to see NJPW have him change for 3 different tiles in the span of 3 months. The show ended with the three younger stars of the new generation and I love that New Japan put faith in these guys to deliver. Overall, it was really fun show to attend live and I enjoyed it a lot. Mercedes appearing was nice but NJPW did themselves a disservice by not advertising her in advance (along with TAKESHITA) especially with the tickets being pretty pricey unless you got them after they announced the discount deal with AEW. Was surprised that Mercedes wasnt booked to wrestle on this show since she frequently wrestled in Lowell prior to signing to WWE and because her having a match would have sold far far more tickets."

[6.0] "KInd of a showcase show to move along some booking for the Tokyo Dome and get some NJPW faces in front of a US crowd. I was in the building for this, if that matters. Solid wrestling throughout but nothing blow away or memorable. It was cool seeing Mone and just getting some sort of "house show" style matches. I probably wouldn't go out of my way to watch this on stream, but it does move along some AEW/NJPW storylines."

[7.0] "A very solid show in my opinion, not all the matches were amazing, but I'd say only one match was bad. The main event was really fun and I really enjoyed it. Takeshita vs TJP, TMDK vs Shota & Ishii, GYV vs TMDK, and Mustafa Ali vs Lio Rush were all great. The rest of the matches were pretty good except the 2 out of 3 falls tag team match was pretty bad. Overall an enjoyable show."

[4.0] "An underwhelming show, which peaks early. It's no wonder there are large sections of empty seats. NJPW in the US just struggles to hit the high notes. The worst of it is the WCWC vs Lawlor and Rosser match, there's a bunch of okay matches in there but none of them ever move into great. Add to that the lack of a second canvas after a booking a midcard match in which you know there is going to be blood, and several camera shots which are out of focus, or just watching the wrong bit of the action. On a positive, I do think Veda Scott is great on the NJPW US shows, and wish they'd consider her for some of the Japanese tours to provide English commentary"

[7.0] "David Finlay vs Kevin Knight: While nothing extroadinary happened here, they did work well together, Knight had a solid showing here against a champion of the calibre of Finlay, a decent way to start the event [***]. James Drake & Zack Gibson vs Mikey Nicholls & Shane Haste: They had no heat, no chemistry to compensate the in ring work, they had an average showing here, the title change makes no sense given TMDK lost the IWGP tag titles a few days before [*3/4]. Lio Rush vs Mustafa Ali: They had one of the better matches together here, crisp and well worked action throughout, they have good chemistry together and it showed here, Rush winning was cool to see [***]. Jorel Nelson & Royce Isaacs vs Fred Rosser & Tom Lawlor: The stipulation was confusing towards the end, the match was not that good, the bleeding from Rosser was absurd, one of the worst matches I have seen in NJPW in the USA in a long time [1/2*]. Hazuki vs Anna Jay vs Koguma vs Trish Adora: A short but sweet and to the point four way match to determine who will next face Mercedes Mone for the women's title, the action was what you would expect it to be, Hazuki winning was good to see [**1/2]. Shingo Takagi & Yota Tsuji vs Matt Taven & Mike Bennett: A preview for Takagi and Tsuji before World Tag League, a pretty standard routine tag match, not much happened that could be memorable, okay to see Taven and Bennett in NJPW [**1/4]. Ryohei Oiwa vs KENTA: Oiwa was solid here against the veteran KENTA, the match was largely fine, Oiwa getting the win was good to see if a surprise [**]. Shota Umino & Tomohiro Ishii vs Bad Dude Tito & Zack Sabre Jr: ZSJ and Umino had some solid exchanges, Tito and Ishii had some interesting exchanges, Umino picking up the win made sense [***1/2]. Konosuke Takeshita vs TJP: The first 7-8 minutes were dull and boring, then it did pick up slightly, not as interesting as was expecting it to be [**]. Gabe Kidd vs Kosei Fujita: Fujita gave up a solid fight, Kidd showcased great heel character work both on and off the mic, a decent main event match [****]"
