[8.0] "I think it was a really good enough event. The best match was ZSJ vs Kidd with both of them giving us great action.Umino vs Lee and O'Khan vs Sanada was good enough matches and the victory of GOK surprised me.All the other matches was good. One matchday left and the interesting on who will advance is really big with Zack be the only one how has a spot on knockout stage."

[4.0] "This show was very underwhelming overall. The main event was a House of Torture shenanigans match that didn't connect with me and the rest of the G1 matches, aside from ZSJ vs. Gabe were supremely whatever.I thought of rating it higher because of how great the semi-main was, but I don't think that match saves the rest of the card, especially when I consider the main event to be bad. [MOTN: Gabe Kidd vs. Zack Sabre Jr.]"

[6.0] "One of the main reasons I find the A block to be insufferable is of course EVIL, and while I'm happy is on the cusp of receiving his comeuppance losing his last 3 after winning his first 5 and Shingo finally getting revenge for last year, in my view it still wasn't enough to make the main event of this day watchable. Zack and Kidd put on a clinic of British Strong Style at its finest and Zack now has his spot in the playoffs clinched is this the year it comes home to the UK? I don't know but we'll see"

[3.0] "Boltin Oleg & Toru Yano vs Katsuya Murashima & Shoma Kato: It felt like a squash match, the young lions did really do anything, it felt like it was all Yano and Oleg for the 4 minutes they had [DUD]. HENARE vs Konosuke Takeshita vs Ren Narita & Yoshinobu Kanemaru: Another win for the duo of HENARE and Takeshita in undercard tag matches, this time it was an average tag team match to be honest [*1/4]. Hirooki Goto & Tomoaki Honma vs El Phantasmo & Jado: A short match that did have an average exchange between Goto and ELP ahead of their G1 Climax match, but could not really do anything as such due to the very limited time [1/2*]. Francesco Akira & Jeff Cobb vs David Finlay & Gedo: A okay preview of Cobb vs Finlay, Akira and Gedo did their parts okay as well [*1/2]. BUSHI & Yota Tsuji vs TAKA Michinoku & Yuya Uemura: A house show standard tag team match, not much memorable happened here except for BUSHI submitting Michinoku for the win [*1/4]. Tetsuya Naito vs Callum Newman: An okay block match for the G1 Climax, but couldn't do much in the just over 5 minutes they had, needed more time to really get it going [*1/4]. Great O-Khan vs SANADA: Not the match I would expect out of these two, the pacing seemed sloppy, and off at times, GOK getting the win was good to see though [*3/4]. Jake Lee vs Shota Umino: This was solid throughout, the action was a bit slow at times though, but Umino and Lee both tried all they had to get the win and Lee was the one who had more in the tank to win [***1/4]. Zack Sabre Jr vs Gabe Kidd: MOTN, ZSJ and Kidd gave as good as they got, they literally went at it in a classic match that only went 16 minutes but felt longer in a good way, the time literally flew by, ZSJ forcing Kidd to pass out to win the match was surprising to see [****1/2]. Shingo Takagi vs EVIL: The only good thing about this match was Takagi winning, the match was fucking terrible just like last years G1 match in Yokohama Budokan, the interferences, the ref bumps was not needed, one of the worst matches ive seen in NJPW in 2024 [-**]"

[5.0] "In spite of ZSJ and Kidd having a standout match that looked different from all other performances, this could only ever be an average day given the Naito and EVIL matches were skippable, and the other two matches were average."

[8.0] "This has been a quite enjoyable event. The tag undercard was short enough to be inoffensive and every G1 match afterwards was interesting at least, and different from the others. Overall the event amounted to more than the sum of its parts."

[6.0] "ZSJ v Gabe Kidd really saved this card. The G1 matches before it were okay to decent levels of wrestling, and ZSJ v Kidd was phenomenal. Unfortunately after that brilliant match, we had to watch Evil stink up the place in a overbooked, illogical, and dumb main event that last a ridiculous 17 minutes."

[4.0] "Endless undercard and terrible main-event, if it wasn't for ZSJ and Kidd this should would have been utter garbage. There are also three normal matches but they can't stand the amount of bad stuff that happened unfortunately, just a very boring show. *3/4"
