[6.0] "In the English commentary during the main event, the always good Chris Charlton declared "This might be the best event I have seen, top to bottom, all year! " I hope that's not actually true, because while this was a slight improvement over night 1, I still wasn't bowled over by the majority of the matches. The Douki/Takahashi and Ninja Mack/Francesco Akira matches were good, but the clear standout was El Desperado vs. Kosei Fujita, where there was a lot of great technical wrestling on display and some real crowd excitement..."

[7.0] "Blake Christian vs Kevin Knight: An okay opener, the action was okay just above average and Christian using underhanded tactics was not surprising but also not the best way to go [**1/4]. Ninja Mack vs Francesco Akira: A decent solid display of jr heavyweight action from these two, should have had more time [***]. Clark Connors vs HAYATA: did not care for this match much as it did peak my interest, the action in my opinion was average [**]. Robbie Eagles vs Drilla Moloney: A solid back and forth match that re-peaked my interest following the previous match, Eagles getting the win by submission was surprising [***1/4]. Yoshinobu Kanemaru vs TJP: A squash match that essentially should have been booked differently [1/2*]. Taiji Ishimori vs Dragon Dia: In what could have been a fantastic interesting match, turned out to be an okay just under 5 minute match that should have gone longer [*3/4]. Titan vs BUSHI: A basic match here that was averagely interesting, except for the part of the match they spent within the crowd [**1/2]. KUSHIDA vs SHO: A not good match that I did not enjoy [*]. El Desperado vs Kosei Fujita: A great match that must be one of the best singles matches in the career of Fujita, he and Despy took it too the limit and had a hard hitting match that was enjoyable throughout [****1/4]. DOUKI vs Hiromu Takahashi: A match that was actually better than I expected, my second favourite match on the show behind the Despy vs Fujita match [***3/4]"

[6.0] "A slight improvement over the other night's BoSJ but not by much. The last two matches are the ones you wanna watch while everything else is pretty bland and at times down right bad to watch. Let's hope things get better from here because this was a chore to watch. The first half is very mediocre and the second half is good. 6/10"

[7.0] "This was a pretty good night for the BoSJ. I'd say that night 2 of the BoSJ had better match quality overall compared to night 1 with some higher highs and not as low lows. [MOTN: El Desperado vs. Kosei Fujita]"

[8.0] "BOSJ night 2 is a preference of good junior heavyweight action, many unusual stuff like a short match between TJP/Nobu in a very very unusual style. More flying than technical. Galvanize all of the other matches that stands out more, to me it is El Desperado vs Kosei Fujita. Kosei worked hard in the matchup with a phenomenal technical counter which Despy had to overcome, at one point Kosei was in 5 different holds at once; stretch the entire foot, leg muscle next, twist the hamstring, the sit on both legs and then the Indian deathlock on the knee, unbelievable performance from both men. El Desperado possibly the best junior heavyweight of this decade onward next to Hiromu Takahashi. Dragon Día vs Taiji Ishimori was a good match until the low blow into the bloody cross. Kushida vs SHO was magical. Blake Christian vs Kevin Knight had a chance to become the match to hijack the show, flips were nice but lacked something stovetop. Ninja Mack defeating Francisco Akira was a good loud reaction to see Ninja Mack in NJPW as Akira is ready to rise with his burning heart. Main event between Hiromu Takahashi vs Douki kicked ass, showcased Douki and Hiromu as nuts he is looked fantastic despite his bad luck. Hiromu yet to win a singles match this year, this tournament is important to him and becoming a 4 time winner is not easy, like his portrait says believe in Hiromu. Congratulations to Douki who is becoming a massive fan favourite in the making. Chris Charlton said it best, if this is your first NJPW event, good card to start your journey on."

[6.0] "Knowing New Japan, this show will probably be the highlight of the tour for a while until they get back to Tokyo. It wasn't a bad show. Nothing will blow you away but these short matches are a breath of fresh air and it all takes place at a packed Korakuen Hall. Anything which could have been a real low point was kept shorter than the other matches, resulting in an actually not half bad match from Sho against Kushida. El Desperado vs Kosei Fujita takes the lead as the best tournament match so far."

[8.0] "Very good show boosted by the Korakuen Hall environment. Some okay matches but a great showing from Fujita and a fun main event between Hiromu and DOUKI, albeit not the quality one would hope for the main event. I also really enjoyed the short SHO/KUSHIDA and Dia/Ishimori bouts. Just a fun show with lots of variety."

[5.0] "Flat show, the first and the last two matches are actually good but the mid was just painfully generic and pretty boring since no matches of those six are actually anything I would ever reccomend. Anyway, Despy vs Fujita was a fantastic matches and should have been the main-event. **1/2"

[7.0] "Another good show, their approach to the shortened time length has been cool to see and made the shows fly by. Good action all around but Fujita and Despy obviously stole the show. Great crowd too."
