[6.0] "1 match show - sheamus/gunther. Smackdown had the rough end of the 3H Takeover as he focuses on Raw. Hopefully he puts some effort into these shows at some point soon."
[7.0] "HHH immediately charged us to watch a hot show and after him Bloodline and Logan Paul coped with it. After such a charge of energy, the show did not slow down and a lot of events were waiting for us. Sami Zayn amused us all the show, hints about the rabbit became as obvious as possible, Drew and Kross had a very emotional fight before the match with belts, Legado with Zelina broke into the game and it seems we have a very hot Mexican group - I hope for their promotion. And of course, the cherry on the cake was the Sheamus vs Gunther fight, where once again the fighters were able to charge all the fans to the war in a sports wrapper. A very strong show on which there were no weak points. And the stories followed the most logical scenario!"
[7.0] "It was solid. Solo vs Ricochet was very good. The main event was as well. Legado's debut was done extremely well, even if commentary was playing extra dumb. Outside more good interaction with Sami Zayn and Jey Uso, the rest was unimpressive and forgettable. Even on that, they overdid the Blood line. They don't need to be all over the show for multiple segments."
[9.0] "Honestly, very good Smackdown, way better than RAW this week, which is interesting because since HHH took over, RAW is mostly better, but yeah SD has it better shows once a while too and that's great, what can I say, just great show, that I can give 8.5 [9]"
[7.0] "The bloodline segments were good, Paul Heyman rambling at the start was weird. Legado's debut was really good, La Knight being back and the main event was strong, but everything else outside of that was pretty filler. Still a good show tho"
[9.0] "Great smack down season premiere. I wouldnt mind if they did Sheamus vs Gunther every week, and im excited for the white rabbit tomorrow, which is 100 percent bray wyatt after the Let Me In video."
[8.0] "It's how you leave them I guess because for a hyped season premiere, the first half of this show was simply passable. Not bad, but certainly nothing special. However, the last two matches were awesome and combined in ring and story progression/entertainment very well indeed."
[9.0] "A good season premiere. I find the return of the Phantom's Legado with Zelina vega a great pairing. Fantastic main event, they picked up many things from the old WALTER, brilliant ending."
[8.0] "It was a good show with 3 good matches and a women's tag squash. The opening promo was a bit too long and I started to lose interest until Sami got on the mic. The first match was good. Legado debut was good. Backstage Roman segment continued the Jey Uso story in a fun way. Women's tag gives Raquel and Shotzi a win before they lose a tag title match at some point. Drew and Kross segment was good. Six man tag was good. Main event was great with a lame finish. Good show overall."
[7.0] "This was an okay SmackDown it had mostly good matches besides the second match. Main event was the best thing of the night, coming in second was Ricochet vs. Solo. Then Braun & New Day vs. Sami, and The Usos. Bloodline stuff with Paul was fine the Hitrow stuff was kinda avoidable..."
[8.0] "The show was good and given time for almost everyone appears on tv. Sheamus vs Gunther of course was amazing and the highlight of the show but we got bloodline segment. Solo Sikoa being well presentend etc"
[5.0] "Fairly decent show, Liked the Bloodline stuff (Sami is just so good) & Gunter/Sheamus was also good but other than that it was meh - Triple H era WWE hasn't been so much great ngl Gunter vs Sheamus - ****1/4"
[5.0] "One good match a show does not make. Especially with a god awful finish that makes me feel as though I've utterly wasted my time. I'm looking forward to the six-man tag tomorrow night (it is easily my most anticipated match of the PPV), but I was disappointed by Gunther/Sheamus tonight. 20 minutes of in-ring time just for a botched, distraction finish (which seems to be Triple H's new go to). How is no one complaining about the insane amount of distractions on these shows now? ! Let's go back to the beginning though. Triple H started the show in typical, old school Vince McMahon "bow down to me" fashion and didn't say anything except "welcome to the show" and then inexplicably disappeared. Speaking of Vince/Triple H - I thought the season premiere would bring about some much needed cosmetic changes to the product - to truly signify the new era. Unfortunately it was the same set, same robot graphics, same AC/DC, same white ropes - with Wade Barrett on commentary alongside Michael Cole instead of Pat McAfee/Corey Graves. The opening segment proper - which ran about 25 minutes - could've been copy and pasted from any Smackdown for the last two years, with a tired Paul Heyman promo (which felt directed at Fox news viewers, a new wrinkle for Heyman) and Roman interrupted by the babyface after trying to get the crowd to "Acknowledge" him (this time, the babyface was played by the utterly unlikable Logan Paul, who entered to a chorus of boos). I liked the LA Knight stuff and the debut of Legado Del Fantasma with Zelina Vega. I do question why you wouldn't bring up Elektra Lopez though. LDF are a Triple H creation - wouldn't it be better for the act that developed together in NXT to be brought up to the main roster together? Zelina is much better in a manager role and I have no doubt she'll make this work - but it feels strange to invest all that time in Elektra in NXT to drop her once they get to the main roster. Aesthetically, the new LDF look great together. Santos Escobar is a star. Aside from a few "moments" and a great main event match with a disappointing finish, this show didn't do much to increase my excitement for Extreme Rules (similarly to RAW). Bring on the PPV tomorrow. Also anybody still decoding QR codes can stop now - if you were still mining through HTML source code every week, they basically knocked you over the head with an oversized Firefly Funhouse mallet to tell you it's Bray Wyatt and he'll be returning at Extreme Rules."
[5.0] "Another perfectly acceptable but mostly dull episode of Levesque TV, with an excellent main event, even if Gunther vs Sheamus wasn't as good as their previous match. I can excuse the non clean finish, because it was a TV finish to set up the PPV match. The rest of the show just existed. Crowd was dead for a lot of it, and especially for Hit Row, which is an ice cold act that nobody cares about."
[10.0] "A great episode, and for sure one of the best in the WWE in recent years. Not only that, but wrestling in general. We had story development, debuts and a banger."
