[5.0] "Another strange formula, with so many pointless squashes that didn't even necessarily get anyone over - but at least a few matches delivered. The opener was short but sweet, Anderson & Windham vs Pillman & El Gigante featured more brilliant teamwork from Arn and Barry, and while Sting vs Koloff didn't blow me away, they told a solid story. On top of that, The Steiners got the biggest reaction of the night during their match, where they unleashed one impressive move after another, with Chono and Hase bumping nicely for them. The main event felt a little rushed near the end, but up to that point, it was a great bout with top-notch psychology, as both guys targeted each other's limbs. Overall, there were a couple of matches worth watching, but I just can't stand all the filler between the quality contests."

[5.0] "One good match and one great match but that can't make up for the bad booking here. They tried to cram two events' worth of matches into one show and as a result we got condensed versions of everything which killed any potential quality. Even the short angles weren't given any time."

[6.0] "It wasn't the most eventful Clash Of The Champions, but it was still a pretty solid night of wrestling. While the majority of the matches were quite short, this had the benefit of ensuring that nothing was ever boring, and I thought all of the matches were at least decent even if there wasn't much to them. The IWGP tag title and WCW World Heavyweight titles matches were both especially good, and while neither are perfect, both were certainly worth watching. My main issue with the show was Morton's heel turn, which was both a stupid idea as well as poorly executed, but it's hard to get all that worked up about it when you're watching the show 2024 and well aware that it's coming. Nothing outstanding, but it's a good, simple wrestling show, and sometimes that's all you need."

[4.0] "This is a pretty easy show to watch, but that's mainly because only three matches go over five minutes here. Some of the short matches are actually fun; Like the opening six man and Steve Austin squashing a guy in 25 seconds. My favourite match of the night was the IWGP Tag Title match. We got some Oz on this show. Richard Morton is reborn on this show; a terrible idea that was. Brian Pillman loses a loser leaves tag match here that sees him become the Yellow Dog; a gimmick I always hate. I really didn't like PN News here. Dan Spivey vs Big Josh was my least favourite match; partly for being booked in the first place more than the actual match itself."

[7.0] "Pretty decent Clash here. Flair puts on a good main event against Bobby Eaton, which generates some excitement with Eaton winning the first fall cleanly to at least give some hope he might win (even though I'm sure everyone knew he wouldn't). There's also a very good international tag match with the Steiners defending their IWGP belts against Hase & Chono. And Sting and Koloff have a solid match that pays off later in a fun angle where Koloff blindsides Sting while meeting a young fan to continue the feud. While very short, the Luger-Muta match had a creative finish. The rest of the card was filled out by standard Clash stuff - squashes and short TV midcard matches (and yet another in a seemingly endless series of Freebirds-Young Pistols matches) - but overall this was a good time."

[8.0] "I liked this a lot , a whole lot better than previous Clashes. It had two great matches and most of the others got in and out before they could stink the joint out. It also had some good angles such as Steiners getting beat down post match but my favourite was Koloff taking out Sting as he posed with a little Stinger. Just great. The Pistols vs Freebirds was best of the short matches, especially for the way the ref counted the triple pin."

[5.0] "I felt this Clash belongs right there in the middle with a 5/10 rating. Sure, there is some good stuff like the IWGP tag title match, Sting vs. Nikita or Flair vs. Eaton, but there are countless squash matches that wouldn't feel out of place on weekly WCW programming, not to mention the stuff with Oz."

[6.0] "A big upgrade compare to the previous COTCs. There's a lot of short matches/squashes in there, but I'd say most of them are enjoyable more than not. Sting/Nikita, IWGP tags and the main event are well worth your time."

[6.0] "This has only a few hits, like the main event 2/3 Falls between Ric Flair and Bobby Eaton, and Steiners vs Hase & Chono. It's weird how they added so many short matches (Austin vs Maggs, Luger vs Muta, Hall vs Rich and many more). The opener starts to annoy me because it's been months they put Freebirds vs Young Pistols."
