[4.0] "Am I the only one here (or ever) who enjoyed the HLA stuff? I think if you don't take wrestling super extremely seriously, which you shouldn't, then HLA shouldn't be such a fucking headache for anyone. I thought it was hilarious when bischoff announced it because it's obviously an attempt to be opposite of smackdown, and the end result is the two lesbians getting killed in the 3 minute warning, which also was hilarious. Lawler acting like a pre teen who's never seen a woman in his life is also funny as hell to me. The main event was pretty good aside from big show being involved for who knows what reason... glad RVD won, and I really enjoy the fact that HHH will wrestle guys like spike dudley every once in a while and put them over to an extent, despite winning the match. They made it a non title match to give the idea that spike had a chance. But, like some other posters have already touched on, the match itself really didn't make sense. Woman's tag match was brutal. I really feel sorry for trish as she's the only one involved who has a clue. Victoria almost causes death a few times, and terri is still hot at her age but really doesn't belong in the ring unless it's a pillow fight. Adding Regal to the unamericans makes this team unique at this point, as we already did a major canada vs USA thing in 97, which was awesome.. So, I don't blame them for trying it again, but the fact that TEST seems to be the leader here is off putting. Regal already had enough heat before this, and the unamericans were getting heat without him, so in my opinion, him joining this faction was not necessary. Most of the matches on the card didn't really make sense and the nonsensical randomness type vibe I'm getting from raw recently is more russo era nitro than russo era Raw, which is not a good thing."
[2.0] "A very bad episode of RAW. Jerry Lawler is unbearable on commentary throughout. The whole show is based around HLA. RAW creative hit a new low. TNN (the network) come out with a statement issuing an apology and dont condone the HLA segment. A lot of the HLA segment is cut in the oversees broadcasts. Turns out this RAW doesnt pop a rating and actually does the complete opposite, it bombs. Main event isn't bad though. Thats the only redeeming aspect of the show."
[2.0] "Horrible show and very little of redeeming quality. The HLA/3 Minute Warning segment is one of the worst segments in Raw history and maybe my rating might have been more forgiving if that had just been its own separate thing, but it's not. It's a running joke throughout the entire show and Jerry Lawler is so insufferable on this show that he has to hype during every single match which even Jim Ross is annoyed with! The only positives I have is that I quite liked the face team that's set up to take on the Un-Americans at Unforgiven. Booker T, Goldust, Kane and Bradshaw are about as random a squad as you'll get, but they have good chemistry in their promo together. The main event a decent Fatal 4 Way with RVD winning the number 1 condender slot, but the Big Show is a pointless inclusion."
[3.0] "This was the HLA episode, and outside of the main event this was the entire focus of the show. Outside of the first two matches and the main event the in-ring action was very lacking and the promo segments were all bad."
[4.0] "This was a fine episode of Raw they set up a good main event to set up the #1 contender for Triple H at Unforgiven. Two-minute warning coming out every week to destroy people is awesome. Other than those two things not much to say about this show"
[5.0] "Another mid show. Nothing spectacular but nothing too horrible. HLA doesn't even need to be talked about, what a poor idea. The number one Contenders Match on the other hand does need to be talked about. It wasn't spectacular, but it was a very solid main event ***½"
