[8.0] "This was a really good show that followed up from the outstanding Backlash PPV where it continues to build most of the rivalries that featured on that show with a similar main event where The Rock won a cage match against Shane McMahon where the odds are stacked against him yet again and there was really good build to it all night as well as Earl Hebner's involvement where the McMahon-Helmsley Faction try to bully and intimidate him all night and he rebels against them. He honestly gets better crowd reactions than many of the wrestlers do. The matches are mostly short but Dudleys vs T&A, Too Cool vs The Hardys and Essa vs Eddie was all fun spints to watch and Edge and Christian finally turning into a full fledged heel team which was really entertaining to watch as well. The main weakness was the terrible women's match and Benoit v Tazz only lasting a minute."

[7.0] "This was a good and fun show. Edge and Christian are on the rise. Rock/Shane in the cage match was crazy."

[8.0] "Great show from top to bottom. Of course its rife with overbooking, but everything was executed very well and good storytelling all night. Hell of a fun main event in contrast to most Raw main events of this period that are predictable."

[8.0] "This was a fun show coming off a strong backlash PPV. There's a ton of strong segments, I liked how they treated Rock/Shane like a big deal and it was the perfect kind of overbooked main event"

[7.0] "A very enjoyable show this week. Edge and Christian are coming into their own and they are fantastic whenever they are on screen. Rock/Shane also felt like a big deal and was a fun example of the overbooked main event style of the era."

[3.0] "We covered this episode on the Unbooking The Territory Podcast @UTTpodcast so listen there for full thoughts. The best thing about this show was HHH using what looked like a snooker cue to poke The Rock through the cage, that was awesome unfortunate only lasted 2 seconds of a 2 hour show. Jerry Lawler's commentary was particularly bad on this show. The decision to book Earl Hebner like Goldberg on this show was "actively annoying" which pretty much a 2 word review for this whole episode."
