Even worse, the person who pinned the champion didn't capitalize on it or call for a title shot, which makes the whole moment feel wasted. At this point, what's the purpose of this championship? It's rarely defended, never featured on PLEs, and barely shows up on weekly TV. It doesn't feel important, and nothing about it is treated like it matters. The booking has been especially frustrating. They randomly set up a match for Chelsea just to prevent Giulia from breaking the record for longest reign, but somehow managed to book it after the record had already been broken. It's inconsistent, poorly planned, and makes the entire title scene look like an afterthought. This is a completely failure, they need to retire this championship."

Antonino Rocca is widely recognized as the first champion, though the exact date of his win (1948 or 1959) is disputed. The title disappeared after the formation of the WWWF in 1963 and was revived in 1982 through a partnership between WWF and NJPW. Wrestlers like Tatsumi Fujinami and Riki Choshu held the belt during this period, while the McMahons kinda forgot about it, but inconsistencies between promotions led to confusion over its lineage. The championship was ultimately abandoned in 1985 when the WWF-NJPW partnership ended. Ultimately, I can't call it adequate, as it didn't really do a good job being a belt for both the WWF and NJPW."

Especially, and most famously, with the Timothy Thatcher VS Daniel Makabe matches, with Makabe's second reign standing out as my favourite for this belt, but there were a lot of other underrated gems more than worth checking out."

[10.0] "At the end of the day, this is the industry's single most prestigous belt and it pretty much always will be no matter how its booked at any given point or what the quality of the product is. In and out of kayfabe this accolade designates the top dog in the top company, and being WWE Champion is the one accolade in pro wrestling that actually holds some weight in the mainstream with the general public and non-fans. In terms of pure, raw success, being WWE Champion means that, at some point, you were at ths tippy top of the industry."

[7.0] "This title never had bad moments, but it also never had any standout moments. Its history was always fairly linear and average, without any truly memorable or legendary moments. The UVU Championship was always a title for deathmatch wrestlers who couldn't become world champions (either because the CZW World Heavyweight Championship was higher in the invisible hierarchy that existed, or simply because it was the highest title some wrestlers could achieve). And yes, if you look at the list of champions, most weren't world champions. People like Brain Damage, Danny Havoc, JC Bailey, Necro Butcher, Jun Kasai, and Thumbtack Jack never held the world title, and the UVU Championship was one of the few things they could boast of. Matches for the UVU Championship aren't very memorable; they can be good, but not memorable enough to stay with you for the rest of your life. From what we can see, the UVU title was never a priority, not even filler. It was rarely defended; for example, the longest reign was 379 days, defended five times. The first defense shouldn't really count because Drake Younger essentially handed the title to Danny, and the last time he lost it to Sami. Clearly, the number of defenses was affected by Danny's limited appearances during that period, but they could have challenged him more often. All things considered, the title was good, but the lack of interest and ambition shown towards all its champions is noticeable."

A very short time limit that forces both opponents to focus on efficiency and speed, obviously. It's a great way to showcase a lot of wrestlers without needing to incorporate all of them into any of the main shows while still getting viewership on them. Five minute matches for free on social media, in this case Twitter, is a good concept, and it does help that a lot of the wrestlers involved in Speed and the people who have won the belt so far are genuinely great wrestlers that use this short time length to their advantage. However, it being exclusively a Twitter only thing is what is killing the concept in my opinion. The lack of relevancy or even the name of Speed being mentioned offhand on any of the main brands immediately devalues the belt. No one truly cares that Dragon Lee won the Speed Championship, or that Andrade held it for 161 days, because it's never mentioned outside of Twitter. I'm sure this is due to a exclusivity deal with Twitter that prevents it being mentioned or have any of the matches show up elsewhere, but it definitely makes this belt worthless at the end of the day. I guess not mentioning it is better than pretending you care about it, but it's still not great. If the belt was featured on any of the brands, even just NXT, or even was on the pre show to a supercard, that would at least be something. Have us care about it more! Until then, I can't in good conscience give this anything higher than what I'm giving it."

[] "It's a respectable title but some of the reigns I have seen have been questionable. For starters. WHY DOES 55 YEAR OLD CHRIS JERICHO HAD TWO RUNS WITH THE BELT. The second thing I have an issue with is. It gets treated like a mid card whenever it's on AEW tv. For me personally I hate it when ROH Champions get punk on AEW it makes them look less credible as champion. Let's talk about some nice stuff about this belt. The 2010 through 2012 belt design was very gorgeous in my opinion. The matches for this belt are on a whole another level punk joe bryan nigel morishima. I'm also going to name some wrestlers that ether should have been ROH Champion or still could be ROH Champion. Daniel Garcia Hechicero Kevin Knight, Lee Moriarty Wheeler Yuta, WALTER Zack Sabre Jr. The Beast Mortos"

[10.0] "I love the hardcore title. I know its overall importance is little to none but I LOVED the hardcore matches back in the 90s and early 2000s in the WWF. The Mania X-Seven bout with Raven, Big Show, and Kane is one of my favorite matches. It grew more significant during the Invasion of '01 with Rob Van Dam and Jeff Hardy's matches at Summerslam and the Invasion PPV. It is leagues better than the 24/7 title. And yea I know it's not the Deathmatch wrestling matches that Nick Gage, Necro Butcher, etc that this title is defended over but who cares."

Even when Becky won it was going well. Great matches with Lyra and Bayley. But ever since that underwhelming SummerSlam match that's all gone to the trash. The stuff with Nikki was awful. AJ Lee is a ghost who has been hurting becky's credibility. For some reason we needed 6 attempts for Becky to beat one of the worst wrestlers in the women's division. I don't get it man. What happened to the prestige of this title! ?"

Becky has really made this a championship worth having definitely shows you she a great name, shame no one on the Smackdown brand would do the same as her showing Becky is selfless. All the holders has all made sense and just hoping when the AJ Becky program is over the championship is still booked strong."

[0.0] "What a worthless title. First of all, out of 19 total shows WSX produced, the title was defended ONCE. Secondly, the champ was rarely seen on TV and while Vampiro was champ, he was getting bitched out every week by Sean Waltman and eventually Ricky Banderas. Ricky then won the title in the title's only defense in a great match against Vampiro and then the title was never seen ever again."

[6.0] "The Hardcore title actually started out as a legitimate respectable title (even though it was introduced in a comedy segment as a gift to Mankind). It was defended under logical rules during sanctioned matches and a lot of those matches were actually very good. Then in March 2000, they started the 24/7 gimmick and it became a joke title. Some of the constant title changes were entertaining for comedy, but nobody viewed it as a real title after that. It just became a thing usually to give the low carders and jobbers on the roster something to do. That inevitably ran its course. Sadly most people still remember it for the 24/7 nonsense, but it did have a good run as a legitimate title before that. Then Vince of course tried to bring the 24/7 stuff back 17 years later with a new joke title and not surprisingly that didn't last either."

[10.0] "For many years, this was THE belt in San Antonio and, for a while, the belt in Texas. The RCW Championship has not lost that prestige, either. The first title match for the belt I saw was in 2005, Chris Marval vs. Kazushi Miyamoto for the vacant title. It was a match convinced me that I had to go back to RCW again. And I've been going ever since. That title has become synonymous for great wrestling and representing who were some of the best wrestlers in Texas."

[9.0] "The RCW International Title became one of the premier titles in, not just RCW, but Texas a whole. That belt has, literally, been all over the world. Some of the most impressive wrestlers have held that belt and it's legacy is solidified as one of the top titles in Texas."

[3.0] "What actually is the point of this belt? It's barely ever on the line, and a battle royal is a hard match to get right anyway, so I just don't see the point in it. It's not like the only two champions they've had are bad wrestlers, far from it, but they either need to retire this belt or do something else with it, because they barely even mention it on Lunacy anymore."

[5.0] "Originally the tag team titles have a bunch of reigns by legends of the industry like Young, Moolah, Richter and McIntyre. Since its return it has gone from feeling important for the NWA to being more of an afterthought unfortunately. Hopefully now that the belts are off the double champion of Nieves they get more focus."

[3.0] "In an art form where hyper-saturation brings diminishing returns quickly, I see this as a detriment to AEW moreso than an advantage. Yes, I will grant you that the title has had numerous good holders in the past couple of years, but in the end of the day, it truly is just an extension of Tony's worst obligations to prioritize action for the sake of action over story. It's utilization has been all over the place, only The Opps were ever able to make it feel kind of important, & it's existence perplexes me. It has meant nothing for 2 months & 2 days, now."

[1.0] "Who even really knows what this title is supposed to be, because it certainly isn't a championship. More like an accessory that at least used to mean they saw something in the talent but now is being held in reign where the ACTIVE CHAMPION is taking pins and being squashed over her MANAGER. The start of this division was bleak when the biggest potential match it had was Chelsea Green vs Zelina Vega, but then it got ONE new person... and then the rest were either moved to the world title picture (which goes to show how dead in the water the SD women's divisions are atp) or released. So now we have a championship with no weight, no prestige, and also NO CHALLENGERS. When the peak of your title was when Chelsea Green was using it as an accessory during a trilogy against Michin for 100 days, you've done something horribly wrong."

[3.0] "This is a nice looking title, and I like the idea of it being defended across multiple companies. Unfortunately, there's only been one champion and he has no star power. He's held the belt for 500+ days, and the title feels pretty irrelevant."
3610.03.2026
13:09
[4.0] "Considering how shallow the Women's Tag Division was at the time, splitting it further with an NXT specific version was not needed. Despite it, the women involved tried, and there were some good title defenses, but the belt never really felt important and swapped around a lot to little fanfare until it died just over 2 years later."
3710.03.2026
12:27
[2.0] "There is no valid reason for this title to exist, outside of modern wrestling's constant obsession with belts. Smackdown's women's division has never had the depth to support a second title. At this point, it's just an albatross around Giulia's neck."
3810.03.2026
12:24
[3.0] "The better booked of the two WWE women's midcard titles, but that's really not saying much. For a title that was supposedly created to give the undercard women something to do, it's spent a vast majority of its time on a main eventer, who then went on to drop it to a part-timer. While Becky has been entertaining as the anchor of the division, the title hasn't actually elevated anyone."

[6.0] "AEW Continental Championship has the coolest idea in AEW with the Continental Classic, but outside of that, this belt rarely mattered. Eddie winning the first ever was a real hot start, and then giving it to wrestling hottest free agent, Okada should be a no-brainer. But, Okada's long reign seemed sort of just seemed there and then the "Bryan match where Bryan beat Okada, but didn't win the championship cause of a time limit rule" etc was just weird and sort of made the belt mean nothing. Then we did the whole "Unified Championship" and was scrapped after five months. Tony Khan didn't seem to know what this belt meant. However, we are entering the Jon Moxley face turn Continental Championship reign and it has been the first time in forever this championship as meant something to its holder and challengers. This belt surely will improve throughout the years, it just had a weird start."

The spark seems to show up now and again, but a few short reigns hasn't done much for this championship, but when the spark is there, this championship goes toe-to-toe with the AEW World Championship at times. Hopefully, this championship continues to showcase the work rate of AEW for years to come."

[4.0] "The AEW TBS Championship has not done much for Tony Khan's womens division. Jade Cargill, still very green, defending this in short matches that it only made it worse. Kris Statlander tried elevating but had only a bit of time to try. Julia Hart was just not ready to carry a singles championship with a lackluster HOB reign. Willow's first reign barley had time to set in, and Mercedes, try as she might, gave the TBS Championship some lineage with her "Belt Collecting" and defended this belt like her life depended on it, but it doesn't save the championships lineage and lackluster start. Hopefully Willow can bring this championship mojo as Mercedes did, but as of right now, this is just not a good start for a womens midcard championship."

It is unique with the "different championship look" integration of the championship but been pretty forgettable outside the recent years and the Cody/Brodie feud. The last two years have really elevated this championship to the upper midcard and a belt you want to see every week. Hopefully it continues to get better and better and becomes a mainstay."

[5.0] "AEW and womens wrestling is a crazy bag. Toni/Mariah had a MOTY contender and then this belt has also hot-potatoed so much, no one besides Toni Storm has had any impact on its lineage. Tony Khan doesn't seem to have a read on what womens wrestling could be. Most champions just idle and wait until they "have a number one contender" and then have a 13 minute match unless your name is Willow, Merecedes Mone, Toni Storm, or Kris Statlander. (which all 4 womens are amazing). AEW have such a disperse of women talent, not enough on top, and too much at the bottom. No one at the bottom get enough time to reinvent themselves or stand out, and by the time they do they have either gone somewhere else or get one reign and to never be used again. I hope Tony Khan can fix his womens division soon as womens wrestling continues to grow everywhere else in the world."

[9.0] "The AEW World Championship is first, a beautiful looking belt. This world championship is always treated as the top prize in wrestling where ever it goes and it shows. However, it hasn't been perfect. The CM Punk reigns felt more like riding a wave of CM Punk returning in the company, which don't get me wrong, it felt so cool, but Adam Page got screwed over it seemed and then we got into the Interim situation. MJF's 406 day reign was almost amazing but was hindered slightly by "The Devil" story. Samoa Joe, although being a transitional champion twice, had almost good short reigns. Then the Jon Moxley 2025 Championship reign almost tarnished the belt with weird creative decisions, but was saved by the incredible Adam Page redemption. Not a perfect championship lineage, but damn, this championship will be revered with every passing year."

FTR and the Young Bucks are literally the biggest part of these division and it has sadly never been close. These tag championships also have the best story in AEW so far with the Kenny/Adam Page/Young Bucks story that has never been topped since. These championships goes through the a couple teams and always come back around to FTR/Young Bucks. Brodido has been a nice highlight for these championships but these tag championships haven't had a stellar history nor stellar anything outside FTR/Young Bucks which is almost disappointing to say."

These championships fell into other factions hands but never had any outgoing major story. Trios wrestling is a more safe wrestling match to where new wrestlers should be showcased or veterans who can still go, but these championships as of (March 3rd, 2026) seem to be more for "elevating" main event stories.. but just cause they are around the main event superstars doesn't mean they are doing anything. And at times, it seems Tony just forgets about these championships existing until they are "needed.""

It was said that it would be defended all around the world and on the indies, but the world championship has been defended on the indies more than this Championship. Utterly pointless, and lost among the many other unnecessary championships."

Immediately following Lyra winning the belt it felt like an afterthought in the booking, but over the last six months it's become a centerpiece of raw's weekly storytelling. Hope it can continue to progress this well, but I'm not putting a number to it til we reach our fifth champion. Addendum; we've hit out 5th champion. This WIC belt has had a fascinating start to its time. The Lyra and Becky runs with the belt have felt massive and left the built functioning as the most prestigious women's belt in the company, however, it must be acknowledged how that's 3/5 of the reigns. Maxxine could've made the world out of a reign, but was a nothing burger that had sauce on the side in the end, and AJ's win in the immediate aftermath feels more like the company wanting to keep punk as happy as possible opposed to forwarding and legacy and history of the belt. There has been far more good than bad surrounding this belts life so far, however it's a belt fundamentally being utilized wrong. Due to this I'm landing on a 8/10."

The IWGP Heavyweight Title is the symbol of excellence, and sits on the top as the most prestigious belt in all of Pro Wrestling in my opinion. When Wrestlers like Minoru Suzuki, Tomohiro Ishii have failed to win a title, it means that it is more than just a title. Every match feels big, atmosphere is unrivalled and the performances are nothing short of amazing. And if that wasn't enough, it just had to have the most beautiful title design since the Big Gold. Great Belt with Great Lineage and History(with a few outliers as well, ofcourse)."

[4.0] "The NXT Championship is truly a sad case. At one point, this was the most exciting and best booked championship in North American wrestling. Back when NXT was black and gold, and it was a tight, 1 hour, digestible piece of weekly wrestling greatness on the WWE Network. This championship spawned so many great reigns and memorable moments. The era where Ciampa, Gargano, Adam Cole, Aleister Black and Keith Lee were chasing this belt was the absolute PEAK of late 2010's/early 2020's wrestling. When the Takeovers were topping anything main roster was doing and even exceeded almost everything in NJPW save Dominion and WK. Back then? That belt was a 10/10, no debate. Today however, it's a different story entirely. No one cares about this belt anymore, I almost never hear big title changes discussed online, not to mention the quality of the reigns or anything. This is a belt utterly devoid of any sort of buzz or excitement whatsoever, and is a victim of the crap booking of modern NXT. The downfall of this title began the same time as the downfall of NXT. Long story short, WWE tried to use NXT to kill a certain upstart competitor. This is why you randomly see title reigns like those of Finn Balor in 2020 and Samoa Joe in 2021, they were hotshotted title changes meant to pop a big rating. When NXT lost the "war" Vince decided to nuke NXT, move out of fullsail and into the Performance Center and rebrand as the brightly colored NXT 2.0. Eventually that mess of an era ended and NXT evolved into something akin to a hybrid of Black and Gold and 2.0, but it hasn't recovered since. Nor has this belt, I mean Dolph Ziggler won it for Christ sake. Gone are the days of NXT Title Matches being 5+ star classics, now it's just another belt that doesn't elevate stars or mean much anymore. It's incredibly sad because if WWE just kept NXT the way it was, and transitioned it into the hands of a quality creative mind and not Shawn Michaels, this title could rival the AEW belt as the best in North American wrestling. Instead it's a husk of it's former glory."

Only the very top dogs of the company held that belt (maybe bedsides Alpha Female, Priestley and Tora), it's defended only in singles matches on bigger shows which automatically adds value and the matches involving this championship are always high quality. The linage this belt has is absolutely stunning - Takahashi, Shirai, Hojo, Satomura, Iwatani, Storm, Kagetsu, Hayashishita, Syuri, Giulia, Nakano, Maika and now Kamitani - everyone did great with the Red belt. Current champion in Saya is elevating that title and the whole STARDOM to a never seen before level that only AJW and maybe GAEA in joshi achieved - taking the Tokyo Dome is the ultimate goal and with Phenex Queen as the top champion i'm pretty sure they will get that Dome in 2027!"

I understood Jey winning it in retrospect coz he was awarded for getting mad over, but there were better ways to get the title off Gunther without resorting to him quickly tapping out. Punk with the WHC is prolly one of his last hurrahs with a belt and it prolly being a night 2 WM main event with Roman in the other corner is pretty damn good going for this still-kinda-new strap."

It felt like something that was consistently holding Hook back, then Jack Perry briefly held it as part of a short-lived gimmick which did not suit him at all, and its last hurrah was with a Chris Jericho which much of the audience had already turned on (granted, he could have been worse with it). At least RVD showed up in AEW in part to challenge for this title."

As a result, there may be months where the title becomes completely directionless and even its holders (see Adam Page and Samoa Joe) see it as an afterthought as they are focused on bigger things. I think it should be retired and dedicate the few trios teams to what is currently a small tag division. Also there have been some pretty bad reigns; The Acclaimed winning it was amazing to see in the moment, but its reign was one of the worst parts of one of AEW's weakest periods, also leading to the Bang Bang Scissor Gang."

What makes a midcard belt really cool is you can hot shot it around a lot more than your world title and get it on a lot of different people and it's not as egregious as doing that with the main belt. The TNT has had a very cool and diverse lineage of holders, which makes it a very entertaining title to follow. I wouldn't say it massively elevates the winner, but again that's typically the case with these kinds of belts. I really don't know what people want out of the TNT title other than for it to be booked like a world title which isn't the point. The TNT very much reminds me of the IC title in the late 90's early 2000s. Not a belt that really had huge implications for the ongoing story, but one that produced it's fair share of memorable title defenses an found it's way into the hands of a lot of really great performers."

In a little under 7 years, this title has only been held by 9 different men across 16 reigns. It's never been hotshotted, hot potatoed or treated like an after thought, it's always handled with respect as the top prize in AEW. While every reign may not be perfect, everyone that's held it is a legend or future legend of wrestling. The lineage of this title is fantastic, which just adds to the level of prestige the belt holds. When the AEW World Championship is contested, you best believe the match will be incredible, only guys that can work at an elite level are worthy of holding it (besides CM Punk). This title has been contested in multiple 5 star classics and will sure to produce many more in the coming years. The design is also incredible, like the IWGP Heavyweight belt this looks like a piece of treasure to be cherished and it's just damn impressive when held over the shoulder of the champ. All in all, this belt is as close to perfect as it gets in wrestling."

In the late 80's it was THE championship and at a point was considered the "workers belt" but things got murky once it became Razor Ramon's prop. After stumbling for a while, Chris Jericho did his part to re-elevate the championship's worth. Soon again however, it became lost in the shuffle somehow. Shelton Benjamin helped recreate a bit of mystique and intrigue in regards to the championship's impact on bell to bell action & it pushing the carrier to next levels but I admit I haven't watched wrestling in so long that my knowledge ends around 2006. The other reign ends before this? Ok... well. with THAT in mind. Boy, this title kinda sucked! With all of that being said, which i am still wrapping my head around. If this championship is based on ONLY Jan 1991 to Dec 9 2001 , The run away winner with BEST CHAMPION is hands down with no hesitation: Big Van Vader. but the lows this specific recognized championship was delt with is just painful and at times legitimately unbearable. Almost every win/reign was legitimate and not just done in the board room, you got to witness and relive almost every title defense and change (even many of the outliers were matches that actually occurred). It was ended before wrestling was entirely wiped away and sports entertainment certainly took over (gag) and since I honestly do not see myself watching any american wrestling post 2010... we can safely call this my favorite title in the WWWF/WWF/WWE. It was held by truly the greatest wrestlers of all time such as: Toyota, Kong, Nakano, Nagayo, Asuka, Yokota, Masami, Sato, Kandori, Nakanishi, Takahashi and many more. It's very first champion is the legend herself Mildred Burke which gives a huge boost to this already prestigious title. The fact it was defended on special occasion a few times a year also gives this championship more credibility - not everyone could have it, not everyone was able to beat the reigning champion as the matches for this belt were mostly physical, fast, aggressive and very competitive. We saw many important rivalries in which the 3WA title was the centerpiece - Sato/Ueda, Nakano/Kong, Kong/Toyota, Hotta/Kandori, Ito/Nakanishi etc. For me AJW overall is the best wrestling promotion so them having this Big Red Belt which i consider to be the best championship is just fitting."

Anyways, the lineage was off to a really good start. Grace, Cardona, and Swann are all big names. Myers had a surprisingly decent run. It felt like the belt was made for Hendry (who had a memorable feud with Moose - including the genius "Dot Combat" match). Unfortunately when Dreamer won, it all went downhill. Eventually, PCO smashed it up and the belt was dropped."

Maclin isn't a very exciting inaugural champion, but he's a former World champion so it's fine. The title got off to a bad start due to half the crowd leaving (at Unbreakable). Kazarian briefly held the title, then Maclin won it back. Now it's with an NXT midcarder. I think this title is, unfortunately, fairly irrelevant. It could get better, but I don't really see the point in having this belt when TNA don't have a stacked roster (nor do they have partnerships with international companies like NJPW, to create fresh match-ups)."

Oftentimes, you have to look up who is holding the trios titles because they are rarely ever defended and you rarely see segments in which they are setting up a team to face the champions. Case in point, the Opps have held the titles for 170 days and there have only been 3 title matches during their reign. AEW should really consider ending this failed experiment and concentrate on beefing up their tag team division in order to get it back to where it was during AEW's earlier days. *2026 edit* Still the same. Opps randomly drop the titles to the makeshift "team" of Hangman and JetSpeed due to Hobbs' sudden departure announcement. Don't expect anything to change about these belts. 0/10"

Shuji, Mack and Tanaka were great choices for the belt, but never got the time or opponents that a hardcore title mean something worth keeping around. And now the belt is on a guy who hasn't been in a hardcore or death match in nearly a decade. On top of that, because it's brand/show exclusive, he's probably not going to defend it for three months. A trinket in every possible way. I'll edit if I'm proven wrong, or when we get to the end of Monday Magic, and they give the belt to jokerfied Yoshi Tatsu.
