Als Parodie auf den schon lange eingestellten U-30 Openweight Titel von New Japan Pro Wrestling hat DDT den O-40 Titel eingeführt, um welchen nur Wrestler antreten dürfen die älter als 40 Jahre sind.
[3.0] "Love the idea of this belt on paper. The issue is, they never do anything with it. It fits their roster well with quite a few over 40 wrestlers too and is a NJPW U-30 parody they could have done some unique stuff with."
[7.0] "The idea for this title existing is honestly a great idea and something that say AEW or WWE should copy. It is a perfect way to keep veterans out of other title scenes so that way younger wrestlers are given a chance to shine and grow. Only real thing is that the title belt has had a whole lot of super lengthy reigns without really defending it too much, and even less in high quality or marquee matches. I hope it gets some renewed focus today after being revived."
[2.0] "The idea of this belt is awesome as a prop for veterans, it looks great, and... Gorgeous Matsuno held this belt for 406 days. It needs to be regularly defended, or at least more often than once every two years. It is infuriating that Toru Owashi, who is great, basically did nothing with it for over 600 days. It just recently changed hands and is now held by Azul Dragon, who, while not a person that instills a -ton- of confidence in me, is a step up at least from Makoto Oishi."
[8.0] "A title for veterans so that they don't have to fight for the world title, it was very smart. I liked that they revived this title and I can't wait for what's next."
[6.0] "A gimmick/prop championship, but a lot of DDT championships are and that's okay. The idea that the company has a division where the prerequisite is being over 40 is great (especially as a parody of the forgotten NJPW U-30 title), although I wish it was actually defended. Owashi has been champ nearly a year with no defenses. The title itself has a great design too. Nothing bad about it in terms of fulfilling its purpose, although it hasn't had a great match yet when there's definitely enough great 40+ wrestlers in Japan."
