417.05.2025KyleEnjoysWrestling2.0Matt Hardy did not work as a faction leader & his heel gimmick at the time always felt forced & unnatural. I remember them having a couple of really cringy backstage segments. It never felt like talent involved really benefited from being a part of this group.
505.05.2025bherbert19808.0AFO started with promise but never quite lived up to its potential. Was supposed to spotlight Andrade after his debut, the group suffered from inconsistent booking and unclear direction. Despite featuring talented names like Andrade, Private Party, The Butcher & The Blade, and later the Hardy Family crossover, the stable felt more like a mismatched collection of midcarders than a true force. Andrade's charisma and in-ring talent gave it star power, but the group lacked cohesion and purpose, often relegated to lower-tier storylines or used as cannon fodder. It had flashes of entertainment--especially with the Hardy/Andrade dynamic and some solid tag bouts--but never found an identity or serious threat status in AEW's faction-heavy landscape.
613.04.2025Yee I watch wrestlin2.0honestly some of my least favorite work/time period of matt hardy and his career. It was just hard to watch and not a time period i want to think about lol

926.01.2025crs2853.0Big Money Matt was a fun gimmick for bit, but it was not good when it got to Andrade coming in and all the stuff about people owning people contract just was horrible. Just seemed to be what you did with people you had no clue what to do with.

1828.08.2023glhrams3.0Big Money Matt was a drawn out gimmick that helped absolutely nobody involved with it, then Andrade came in and somehow the faction got worse, the idea itself of Matt managing other teams and lead them to success isn't bad, but the booking for them was terrible after the feud with Hangman. The fact that they kept them feuding with no heat whatsoever with The Best Friends for six months didn't help their case either.

2227.07.2023Minorsmile090.0Genuinely one of the worst stables in wrestling history. It felt like they did nothing, and for such an extended length of time that it felt comical. I've never seen a stable accomplish so little in such a long time. The only good thing to come out of this was Andrade saying 'Okay, how you know? '
2313.07.2023Sesh1.0a faction that could have worked but was so badly managed that it was boring from start to finish. Andrade's addition only gets worse.

2626.04.2023AidanArcher6.0This stable had so much potential, but TK wouldn't let anything that has to do with Matt hardy succeed. AFO/AHFO/HFO was a great stable with many great talents.

2809.03.2023SIRasdf232.0One of AEW's overabundance of generic heel jobber stables. No personality, no reason to exist, just a complete waste of time

3530.10.2022winston2.0I would really like to have liked this stable, but it really was the "career cul-de-sac" of AEW. No one benefited in any way, shape or form from being a part of it, and in fact it was the opposite: Any momentum that anyone had would die as soon as they became part of the HFO/AHFO/AFO. It's a real shame when you consider the talent involved.

4113.06.2022PhenomenalGun3.0What in the blue hell is this stable supposed to actually be? It's just a bunch of tag teams and couple other midcarders thrown into one big stable that has zero cohesion. Break Private Party into their own thing and make them face again, release BBB, and turn Johl and Angelico into a heel tag team since they're the only ones not named Andrade worth a damn in this stable. Speaking of Andrade, why is he stuck down with this stable too. He should've been a champion of some sort by now.

4421.04.2022arrancar2.0One of AEW's worst units. "Big Money Matt" was a dreadful character with zero interest. What was at all interesting about Matt taking up-and-comers Private Party under his wing and then scamming them out of their money? What was the point in taking Private Party and forcing them to work a heel style despite them not having the personality to do so, nor the knowledge of how to work their spotfest style in an appropriately heel-based manner? All that did was expose all of Private Party's flaws and turn fans even further against them after they had already stagnated as babyfaces, ensuring they fell even further down the ladder of the company's top tag teams despite how strongly they were pushed and how relatively well they got over with fans in AEW's early days. Then they threw in total jokes like Butcher, Blade, Angelico, and Evans -- all 4 guys who eat pins whenever they go against anyone that isn't a jobber on Dark or Dark Elevation, and all 4 guys who aren't at all interesting as in-ring workers either. The one saving grace of this group was Andrade, and that was because of how good he was in the ring and in backstage segments and promos, since he absolutely does not fit this group at all otherwise. The new "Andrade Family Office" is basically doomed to continue the same cycle of worthlessness because Andrade is once again the only worthwhile member, since none of the other members can be taken remotely seriously. This stable is only holding Andrade back from greater things. It serves no purpose, and really should have been scrapped shortly following Jeff and Matt's reunion.

5206.03.2022nWo-Joshi-Guy5.0They're random as hell but serve the purpose of giving a bunch of heel tag teams something to do so they don't get completely forgotten about. It's a lot better than them all being buried/not seen for sure. It is also part of Matt Hardy's temporary character while he waits for Jeff to come to AEW.

5520.01.2022texasyosh1.0lol this is such a weird collection of people, i think it works with private party but besides that... not really.
5614.12.2021mjs22120.0"I have an idea! Let's take Matt Hardy and 3 extra tag teams that really don't have much going on, and let's throw them together because...Why not'" Such a random pairing of competitors and a strange addition to AEW. HFO started out okay with Private Party being added, but it's gotten really weird and ridiculous with Butcher, Blade, Bunny, and TH2. Just a bunch of heels whose gimmicks don't mesh together very well and it's frustrating to watch. HFO's feud with Orange Cassidy and Best Friends dragged on forever and it hardly ended on a satisfying note. I feel sorry for TH2, who deserve so much better than this. What a flop of a stable.

5917.11.2021renonato Private Party's and TH2's movesets, aesthetics and presentations don't fit Matt Hardy or any potentially credible stable. Their contributions to the group drag it down instead of getting it over. Butcher, Blade and Bunny fit it so much better since they've always been presented as money/fame hungry mercenaries and the faction is all about business (taking into consideration Big Money Matt as a precedent).

6202.10.2021MrIslamy3.0The HFO is just too big right now and would work way better as just Hardy and Private Party, there is no reason for the Butcher the Bunny, and the Blade to be in the group. Other than that Hardy does a decent job at playing a heel despite the gimmick being bad at the moment.
6301.10.2021DCJ20032.0Idk what they expected to do with this team. BnB with TH2 make no sense together, also PnP has no business with them. They just grabbed 3 heel teams, added Johl and Hardy as a leader. Nothing they have done has been relevant.
6430.09.2021Daigotsu2.0This is a dead-end stable full of lower card heels who AEW has no plans for. They never win anything meaningful, and all of their feuds do is drag down whichever team is feuding with them. Seriously, the HFO might be the worst part of AEW; there's no story to them, the teams don't fit together, and it's to the point where being in the HFO is hurting the careers of the wrestlers involved.

7216.04.2021ktreviews6.0I'll admit, this is a very odd pairing of teams, haha... These two teams and Hardy shouldn't work, but they somehow fit really well with each other? They have this weirdly entertaining chemistry that you can see in small ring moments or on the online series Being The Elite. Do I agree that both could be doing better things? Yes, especially the Butcher & The Blade. Private Party falling for Hardy made sense, while B&B (abbreviating it to those initials from now on) didn't really fit the bill for me, but it is better than them taking a nosedive and just competing on the occasional Dark match. And like I said earlier, they are oddly entertaining, sometimes for the right reasons, sometimes for odd ones. I don't expect for this faction to last only because I see them as a temporary force where it's more for a mostly mutual benefit (minus Hardy because of the obvious) before they disband and go their own ways again. This is a decent way to give everyone something to do. It's not the best, but we take what we get, and I find some odd positives with this stable.
