[0.0] "Easiest 0 I've ever given out in my life. The weekly promos that the Authority shit out every week for YEARS were some of the worst content WWE has ever put out. Just completely heatless promos followed by the most boring, by the numbers six-person tag you'll have ever seen in your life. Did Seth Rollins' rise and Daniel Bryan winning the title come from the Authority existing? Yes. But holy shit, it was hardly even worth it because suffering through those Raws and Smackdowns was brutal. Just the most channel-changing bullshit imaginable and it kept getting worse. Nothing people in 2015 wanted to see less than KANE singles matches and a 20 minutes Triple H promo."

"The reason why WWE in 13-16 absolutely sucked. It was the always the same, monotonous, repetitive, sequence of events week after week when The Authority was at their "peak". RAW would open with a 15 minute long promo from them and then they'd be scattered throughout the show. The only good thing this stable did was act as a barrier between Daniel Bryan and the WWE Championship. All the stuff that came before it was just awful TV, awful writing and turn people away from the product. Will always be remembered the wrong reasons."

[0.0] "A terrible retread of the evil boss formula. It made weekly viewing a chore and that's one of the times I stopped watching except for ppvs. One of the only good things to come of it was the emergence of singles wrestler Seth Rollins but that's not enough to recommend anything. WWE has a history of not giving the fans what they obviously want and this is one of the darker periods. So, now I have to figure out how to get to 750 characters to fulfill the obligation even though I believe I gave a succinct, justified reason for dropping a 0 on this group. Every Raw was a slog, every feud centered around them, and they clearly had go away heat with the fans. The last thing Randy Orton needed was to be anchored to Triple H again. I really don't know what else to day."

While it wasn't outright awful, it definitely could've been so much more. If you take this group for what it is and not what they could have been, they were fine. Nothing overly special and a little overly portrayed on weekly TV at the time, but still fine."

They legit made the company watchable. They helped get seth rollins over the hump and into main event stardom in a very short period of time. Have us the incredible cena survivor series 2014 story. The historic daniel bryan yes movement. And this group was the absolute perfect thing for the company at this time"

[7.0] "The Authority such a polarizing stable for being behind so many matches and storylines both great and horrible. They did do some things right like the talent that was part of the group, putting over Daniel Bryan at WrestleMania 30, giving the Rhodes brothers a little boost in popularity and also The Shield with the feud against them, being behind their break up and giving Seth Rollins the push he needed to become one of the company's top stars. As for the bad, it was so bad like lasting way too long, rarely getting karma for their dirty deeds, so many stars that stood either with or against them did better after being done with them and they tried way too hard to replicate the Austin Vs McMahon rivalry. Overall had great stars and matches but their lifespan, purpose and story drags it away from being the best wrestling stables ever."

Imagine if Austin lost the feud to Vince?"

However, from a creative perspective, it was absolutely terrible, with Rollins being the only redeeming factor for a lot of it. The point of the bad guy in wrestling is to eventually be defeated, the Authority never really suffered any real comeuppance. 10/10 talent, 2/10 booking averages out to a 6."

Hate this faction, glad it died in 2016, should have died at Survivor Series 2014."

I think they're much more of a concept than a stable itself, and it was a nice catch that provided a couple of very nice storylines that defined an era in WWE. I can't remember a lot more hateful groups than this one."
attackonmob wrote on 07.11.2023:
[4.0] "They were good antagonists for Daniel Bryan at times, and Seth's inclusion helped build him up as a single's star, but they overstayed their welcome. The long, repetitive promos taking up way more time than needed was reminiscent of the previous Corporation factions, and not in a good way. The feud with Roman was awful, and it seemed like they were trying to artificially recreate the support that Daniel Bryan gained."
Leth99 wrote on 12.06.2023:
[0.0] "Failure. No doubt about it. They failed at putting over Roman. They failed to give credibility to Seth because there were 250 interferences in his match. They failed with Triple H at WM 32 because of that terrible match. They failed with Stephanie because she's...well, Stephanie. They failed with Kane and Show because they were already old and WAY past his prime and contributed with making the 2015 Rumble horrible. They failed with Orton because he was the right man at the wrong time (it was Bryan's time and it took him years to get good again). Cena did better when he wasn't feuding with them. Goldust and Cody at least got the tag titles but they did better when they ran away from them. Ziggler got wasted, Rowan was useless, Ryback was useless and Sting got f##ked pretty hard. Sheamus almost lost all credibility for years before teaming with Cesaro. Rusev, Del Rio and Barrett were useless. And Steph destroyed poor Dusty backstage. So then, nothing redeeming about the Authority. This is what stopped me from following WWE for 6+ years and switched me over to TNA (and then AEW). There's Stone Cold's heel turn in 2001 for the generation before me and then there's the horrible mistreatment of Daniel Bryan in 2013-2015. I would say tho, I was really happy that 2 of my childhood fav wrestlers, Noble and Mercury, got TV time and they were really entertaining in their roles"

Whether it was against Punk, Cena, Bryan, Ambrose, everything was just so good. They were so horrible, in the best way possible. The authority made Daniel Bryan. The authority changed Seth Rollins career. The authority allowed for Ambrose to bloom. The authority allowed for Reigns to shine. The Authority made Cena interesting again. Team Cena vs Team Authority, best survivor series elimination 10 man of all time."

[5.0] "Authority did a good job making you hate them which is a heel's job. Group made Seth Rollins the top heel in the company and protected their top faces during this run. Problem with the group was it was repetitive, and the members were either incompetent jobbers like J&J Security (who were fun in that role) or older giants towards the end of their in-ring career like Big Show and Kane. Neither of which made the buildup matches or secondary feuds exciting. Stephanie McMahon was especially annoying in this role. Lasted far longer than it should have."

I watch wrestling shows because I want to watch wrestling matches not to watch 15-20 minutes heel promo every week. The only good elements of the group were Seth Rollins and J&J security. Rollins is a really good heel and J&J were really funny punching bags."

[1.0] "I hated it when I watched wrestling during this period. I didn't even know that this "stable" has a page on the site until WWE released their top on YouTube. Well... It was really terrible. They opened EVERY Raw with their entrance for several years to read the same promo and to develop the same plot with selected stars. The only bright spot of the Authority is a part of the story of Daniel Bryan. He is my favorite wrestler ever, and I can't help but admit that the scope of this story is due to the plot, and despite the fact that wrestler vs. the system has outlived itself, it looked like a good fairy tale. But why it was necessary later, I don't know. The plot with Rollins was terrible and boring, Seth was a cartoon villain under the wing of cartoon villains, and I'm not surprised at all that Raw lost a million and a half regular audience when "The Future" reached the top and won championship. I was glad when it stopped. Despite the fact that things got even worse two years after the breakup, this stable was a consequence of the times when the mass audience stopped being interested in wrestling. Not 0 only because of the plot of Bryan."

The reign of Authority was also the catalyst in Seth Rollins career and during that era, he was at is peak. To um up, one of the best factions in WWE's new era (post 2010)."

Ex- Dolph Ziggler defeated the Authority in Survivor Series and got them fired and Dolph got over big time but he did not get the push he so rightly deserved but instead he became irrelevant under the card."

Each RAW would open with a 30-minute promo from them. The first half was fantastic but after that it was shit."

Matt Macks wrote on 20.04.2019:
[3.0] "For me this was just a blatant, uninspired repeat of The Corporation with less interesting characters (despite a few identical workers and actually much better wrestlers), longer and more boring promos and a general lack of originality. WWE has gone to the " evil boss" well too many times before (and after, sadly) to make me care at this time, especially since they just cannot re-create the feeling and atmosphere of the original. It also did not help that both Stephanie and HHH are two of the most obnoxious, self-indulgant characters in the history of WWE when they have a microphone in their hands. The positive factors in all of this were Daniel Bryans rise to mainstream popularity and the build-up of Seth Rollings as a top heel, but despite those great moments, I was never looking forward to an appearance of The Authority."
Betaxomega wrote on 16.07.2017:

Long monotonous 20 minute promos at the beginning of Raw every week along with 2 to 3 other segments bored shit out of me which coupled with the fact that each members of the stable looked entirely incompetent, even Rollins during his title run warrants this rating from me."

[4.0] "The idea of a Corporate stable at the time had great appeal especially with the right babyface (Bryan). For a while, it paid dividends with a motivated Randy Orton and two detestable suits (HHH and Steph) and the muscles (The Shield, and later Kane). The Authority had an opportunity to make things more interesting by potentially making Cena the corporate unification match, but that was for naught. However, 20 minute promos, Stephanie emasculating wrestlers without consequences and overstaying their welcome led the Authority to become dreadful. One good thing that did come out of it was the establishment of Seth Rollins as a main eventer."

[2.0] "They sure as hell know how to make you boo, but not for the right reason. They don't make you boo because of their portrayal of character. They make you boo because they, as a unit, are boring and nonsensical. Stephanie McMahon cannot speak on a microphone, unless she disses someone. Triple H doesn't really talk on the microphone anymore. They cannot decide whether to be a face or a heel sometimes. They don't always follow through with their statements. Without Seth Rollins and J&J, they are not worth listening to. They are not entertaining."
