[8.0] "They were an actual tag team in a prolonged period of WWE favoring random pairings over real teams. They worked well together and had some good matches. Would have liked to see a good main roster run from them, but the NXT work was good. I will say I liked the Connor & Viktor pairing better too. As of this they are rated 6 and should be higher"

[5.0] "The Ascension was a failed try to repeat the success of tags like the Road Warriors or Demolition, and I've always liked them, I think the concept is very interesting, but unfortunately they were never able to show their true potential. Not the best wrestlers on the planet but I think they deserved something more, they were capable to be at least a solid tag team."

[5.0] "Like a lot of folk, I actually enjoyed them during the golden era of NXT, they knew their roles and played them well. They were dead on arrival at the main roster, I don't think there was much of a chance of them making it big but the booking took away any doubt."

[3.0] "They had a decent look, good presentation, decent match quality, no marquee matches. It didn't help that they were destroyed by legends for no reason."

[6.0] "One of the best examples of a team building momentum on NXT to get it all taken away on the main roster. Their NXT run showed promise and some good matches with some other talented tag teams although not the strongest division at the time. The main roster anything that made then unique was stripped away and the crowd was never given a reason to care about them until they got paired with Breezango. Shame because the two did have talent and could have been a bigger deal"

[8.0] "An awesome tag team in NXT booked into oblivion in WWE, shame because these guys were awesome. There ring work was good, their look was recognizable, no mic skills because they never really got a chance but I remember the stuff with Breezango being awesome."

[3.0] "Comment cause cagematch requires it. Uuuuuuh they weren't the worst I guess. Can't remember 90% of their careers and the 10% I do remember was rough. Shout out to the time they got to beat up Roman & D.Bry"

[7.0] "They've always been decent in ring, but their handling was all over the place. They were cool in NXT, an embarrassment when called up, ironically entertaining in the middle of their run, and very entertaining by the end."

[6.0] "During the early days of NXT, The Ascension really helped get that ball rolling. People might not remember now, but they were very over with their squash matches; especially how the fans would react to their corned kicks. When NXT was still experimenting with how to shoot things like ring entrances, The Ascension were one of the first acts who were setting the stage for things to come. That said, they never had any classic matches & didn't progress beyond a dominant team who beat down jobbers. Once moved up to the main roster, they were immediately buried, as they wore some dumb facepaint & eventually fell into a comedy act."

[4.0] "Only looked good in short squash matches, through that was in part due to NXT lacking a developed tag roster at the time. While the booking made them out to be this dominant force, it wasn't impressive as they had nothing to scale to at the time. Average in the ring, not particularly special in promos, if they were around during the last few years where they'd be facing the likes of American Alpha or DIY, they would have been most likely shown to be pretty lacking in all departments. Both members are ok but don't seem to be remarkable, and they've quickly degraded to being just in battle royals or not being on TV at all."

[4.0] "Had a great gimmick but no real talent to backed up that gimmick. They could have been great if they could have backed up in tge ring but sadly they just weren't good enough."

[4.0] "Used to think these guys were underused once they left NXT but looking back, they really didn't have much to earn any spot above their current jobber status. They're perfectly okay at that though."

[2.0] "I used to root for this team during there first few days on the Main Roster, but it soon became real to me that everything about this team is God awful. There gimmick and look are absolutely terrible, obviously a rip off of the Road Warriors and Demolition. Only thing there good for right now is jobbing, unless WWE Creative can come up with a new gimmick for them. I only give them 2 points for having humor with Breezango, and for having a decent finisher, The Fall Of Man."

[5.0] "These guys never did a ton for me. They have a cool and had a solid NXT run where they were somewhat believable badasses, but their matches just never seem to deliver and they don't have a whole of character, charisma, or chemistry as a unit."

[4.0] "The Ascension isn't as bad as the WWE portray them, they were decent in NXT, but I do think they're overrated based on the rating here. Their mic skills are average at best and their in ring skills are ok. Their gimmick made a difference in NXT, it worked there, but then they changed it for the main roster and they just were screwed from the start. At this point, they're doomed."

[8.0] "I really like the Ascension. Their gimmick is great and both Viktor and Konnor play the gimmick really well. They had some great matches in NXT and were dominate during their time as NXT Tag Team Champions in 2013-2014. They need to get booked alot better because they have some very good potential."

[3.0] "Ascension at the outset caused boredom and discouragement. Their atmospheric output overlaps the cons first. But they do not cover the terrible matches nothing. They have nothing to be called a team."

[3.0] "The ascension is without a doubt the most boring tag team in the WWE. That's saying a lot with teams like the Usos around. The Ascension on top of their average ring work got stuck with a terrible gimmick. There's no mic work ever out of these guys and they really weren't booked at all."

[1.0] "I don't really see much appeal in this team. They weren't too entertaining in NXT and they have bombed hard on the main roster, in part due to terrible booking but they haven't really grabbed the chance either. The idea was sound but these guys haven't done much with it. I prefer the earlier version with more gothic overtones, as 12th rate LOD knockoffs they aren't worth much."

[8.0] "2 months ago I came here and I said that I didn't had much hope for this tag team but they could always prove me wrong. And they did. It's only fair to come here and correct it. They have a nice gimmick and wrestling-skills and have a great chemistry so I believe they could do it big in the WWE's tag team division."

[10.0] "This Ascension is far stronger than the previous. While Cameron is a talented competitor, he didn't have the aggression, nor the look needed to really bring the Ascension forward. Victor on the otherhand does. They work perfectly as a pair, and are absolutely brutal as a tag team."

[8.0] "Unfortunately the rest of the WWE fans that don't watch NXT are never going to see the original Ascension tag team of Conor O'Brian & Kenneth Cameron due to very very unfortunate reasons related to Kenneth Cameron, but Rick Victor is definitely a good replacement for him to team with Conor O'Brian. Even though the new Ascension aren't as awesome as the original Ascension were, Conor O'Brian & Rick Victor proved to me in just one tag match that they can work together, they have the potential to be a great tag team, and still make this gimmick work. And I hope the WWE does eventually call up both Conor O'Brian and Rick Victor to the main roster as The Ascension not only because they have the potential to be a great tag team in the ring, but I want to see The Ascension on the main roster because I still wholeheartedly believe their gimmick is good enough to where it deserves to have a special place on Raw and Smackdown television where it can be seen by everyone else!"
