After that he basically disappeared from the most wrestling fans. Then about 2018 he returns and does some of his best work for ROH. Post pandemic he goes to TNA and has a good run their as well. Things ended rough between TNA and PCO apparently and now he seems to be focusing on MLP as he winds down his career. His post WWE character work was phenomenal, and he was willing to take big risks for the crowd."

[8.0] "PCO is a rare example of a wrestler who has always been pretty good but kept improving well into his late 50s. Known for his physical charisma and fearless, high-risk style, he has reinvented himself as a hardcore, intense performer, earning comparisons to legends like Terry Funk. Though not a major star early in his career, his recent resurgence in promotions like ROH, Impact and MLP has made him a must-watch attraction. Despite occasional pacing flaws and a simple gimmick, his dedication and toughness at his age are widely admired. PCO's late-career success is impressive, and his legacy as a resilient, unforgettable competitor is firmly established."

Now in the recent years on his mid 50's he had become a spectacular entertainer and I think the IWC agrees with me on this one!"

PCO is an absolute beast, snd someone who even at his age, you can always rely on to have a great match. Im not sure how much time he has left, but dammit, I want to see him as TNA world champion before he retires. It just needs to happen."

But ever since I saw that incredible match against WALTER from Mania weekend a few years ago I have been a huge fan of PCO. His daring in-ring antics are always amazing to see and make every one of his matches a must see spectacle. I loved his short lived tag team with Brody King and his recent run in IMPACT as the heavy for Honor No More. I'm really interested to see what PCO does next."

Typically once you get into your late 50s, it behooves you to take it easy, and yet, nope, not at all. And it's crazy that he still looks like a million bucks at this age. The gimmick is nothing fancy, but sometimes, a solid, meat and potatoes gimmick is all you need. I hope this guy goes for 10 more years. I need that shit in my life. And what luck; upon further inspection, the fact that he's been around this long leaves a long, impressive resume of matches for me to check out. Lucky me."

[9.0] "The man is completely bonkers, enormously entertaining, and his modern matches are all insane. Some of the ones post-Quebecers and pre-PCO can be a bit all over the place. The modern ones are kind of like watching wrestling's version of a car accident IRL. Amazing physique, has shined w/good gimmicks (Quebecers, PCO) in tag and singles, probably the best worker in the most styles this side of Terry Funk. Had a bizarre Funk-esque career revival in the 2010s with his "French-Canadian Frankenstein" gimmick which was inspired. Can do traditional, flippy, hardcore, deathmatch. Can't talk well, but English isn't his first language, it's French. Saddled with an unfortunate pirate gimmick in his fed singles run that still got us a 5 star rasslin match w/Brett Hart. Under Siege match with Maclin is among the best hardcore matches of all time. Match with Walter/Gunther is terrific, too for a European strong-style. These are actual 5-star "I remember spots from it" matches, not FotM BS. Somehow he still wrestles despite doing insane spots for literal decades (he's 55+). Should probably retire for the sake of his health so he can walk in 10 years."

[7.0] "So let's be up front here and say we've only seen his stuff from the previous century! Maybe some of what I'm familiar with still applies? Maybe my commentary will be seen as a lost relic and not applicable at all to his current standings in the squared circle: Solid, not spectacular heavyweight who seems like an over achiever. You won't find many men his size, throwing his frame around with such assurance and ease. Not much of a talker, but that's fine because his tag matches are always somehow way better than they ever should be (he'll find new ways to mildly entertain in an otherwise dull evening). Seems best suited in tag roles BUT is rather capable at playing a character heel in singles. Will always need work on keeping me captivated though, he's solid but I can wander off from his ring action at times. 6.75 rounded up. The Amazing French Canadians/Not the Mounties - The Quebecers get strong recommendations."

They continue to do what they love and earn money by attracting more fans to the show, and of course there is nothing wrong with that. However, not everyone manages to literally restart their career after many years. And PCO became one of those people. Starting as a tag team specialist in the nineties, people started talking about him again after the match with Walter in 2018. Carl has rediscovered himself, he does not parasitize on the past and now performs with a new interesting monster gimmick, at his age he shows really amazing matches and managed to perform in ROH, wXw, Impact and couple of less known promotions. Carl has done an amazing job on himself and proved that he still got it."

He plays some sort of crazed Frankenstein-esque monster, which is pretty dorky, and his offence is basically just him wrecking himself with slow and sloppy high spots. His opponents always have to slow down to match his lack of pace and intensity, which makes for some pretty dull matches. Respect to him for managing to still wrestle in moderately notable promotions at 50+ years old, but I don't enjoy his matches very much."

[8.0] "Back in the day, I always thought PCO/Ouellet was and underrated in-ring performer as a big, thick guy who was surprisingly athletic. For whatever reason, he never got a good gimmick or much of a chance in the big leagues. As a result, I'm glad to see his late-career renaissance in ROH and now Impact where he's finally gotten the recognition he deserves. I don't know how long he'll be able to keep it up given his age, and I hope he knows when to retire before it's too late, but late-career PCO has been a thing to behold, especially with the crazy bumps he seems to keep on taking."

He's Terry Funk-esque in his ability to take absolutely insane bumps regardless of his age and get back up and continue to wrestle, especially when you take into account how long as he has been active in the business."

"PCO is downright impossible for me to rate. His modern matches are like awful bloody accidents that you can't help but stare at, but you can't deny that they captivate fans and helped rejuvenate Ouellet's career. Add onto that his old work being completely different stylistically and you've got a package that's about as hard to rate as it gets."

ROH World Six Man Tag Champ, ROH World Tag Team Champion, NWA World Tag Team Champion, Crockett Cup 2019, Tag Wars 2019, a stacked No. 1 Contender's Tournament and lastly the Ring of Honor World Champion. PCO is not for everyone but this athletic undead monster is a unique and special performer. To have held the WWF World Tag Team Championship in 1994 (3 times! ), the WCW Hardcore Championship in 2000 (admittedly with many caveats) and ROH World Championship in 2019, you really have to be an atypical kind of star. How much longer PCO can go and how many more goals he can achieve remains to be seen but he's had an incredible comeback and a memorably bizarre career which has put him in the record books and my heart."

Hard to believe that all these years later & he's one of the top guys on the indies. I think the PCO character is lacking a little in the gimmick department, but you have to give him tons of credit for the body of work he's currently putting together against guys half his age."

However the main difference is that even when wrapping himself in barbed wire Terry Funk showed glimpses of the all-time great he once was while PCO shows little more than his willingness to do crazy stunts. I'd like to give him a higher vote for his devotion to the business but, honestly, he's always been the very definition of "a decent midcarder" and his solid if completely unremarkable career cannot be redeemed by throwing himself off high places in his 50's."

Definitely has much merit what he achieved in 2018 but is far from being that great wrestler that the beautiful people on the internet wants us to believe simply because he works in the indies. ¿Is he a better wrestler than in his years in the WWF? Without a doubt, although that was not so difficult to achieve either."

His Jean-Pierre LAFitte gimmick was so-so. Kevin Nash treated him like garbage and that's partly why he was not given a bigger push. He has been going back and forth in the indies. I saw of match of his this year and he did amazing well. He has now signed with Ring of Honor. Now 50 years old he has impressed me and has got a bigger push now. Rare for someone in their fifties to have the biggest peak of their career. I have met him and is a very nice guy. Funny on the mic."

I was a huge fan of his as soon as I saw videos of IWS on YouTube, with him just murdering super talented young kids that were breaking out in the USA. Then I reevaluated his WWF run in The Quebecers and his feud with Bret, and I saw how deeply ingrained his talent was. I was surprised a couple years ago or so when he returned from retirement. It made me smile to see he still had a little in the tank. I could have never imagined the run he was about to embark on. Just insane. One of the most underrated wrestlers of all-time in his prime. A true hall of famer and legend in professional wrestling."

Outside his crazy bump and crazy maneuvre , just the way he run between the ropes has to be seen live to fully grasp how good he is. Very intense wrestler but also capable to tell a good story in the ring. His world tag team wwe run may be forgotten by the so call "wwe universe" but left a huge influence in the quebec wrestling scene. Huge guy moving like a luchador with the toughness of an 90's AJPW guy. His comeback fight vs Walter in 2018 is a testament to his talent."
