319.12.2025Brye2.0Everything that Curtis Axel did was safe and technically sound but he was just painfully boring to actually watch. Never cut a particularly interesting promo and I can't really think of a match he ever had that was compelling. There are other people that have sort of the same safe style but are more interesting in some form to the point where it's not a problem. It always just felt like he was being put in weird storylines too.

1224.06.2025Gato Karado4.0One more man frorm nexus, who didn't realised his talent. He just became jobber at the end and finished. But he wasn't so bad
1304.06.2025bherbert19807.0His dad may legitimately have been the greatest in ring talent in WWE history. He worked his butt off to try to honor that legacy and I'm not going to knock him for it. Those are big shoes to fill. He held the IC title his dad held with pride and did well with Bo Dallas

1518.05.2025Rassle Fan4.0Bless his heart it looked like he tried really hard to get better and while he's not an incompetent worker, everything else about is about as spicy as white bread. His legacy is in the same category as Erik Watts, Ted Dibiase jr, Bo Dallas, Brian Pillman jr, you get the idea.

2010.04.2025Chosen One3.0Junge, junge...

2506.03.2025bigredtalk896.0Decent in ring worker, unfortunately, he would have had a much better career had he had 1/10th of the charisma his father had. Sadly, he may have even had a better career had he not had to compete with the giant shadow of Mr. Perfect looming over him at all times. Never really had a chance to truly carve out his own identity, but he was a strong hand in the ring and wasn't done any favors by creative, having theme music that was similar to his dad only furthered the comparisons which didn't help, but regardless if he didn't work out, his dad would have been proud of him for walking in his footsteps.

3105.10.2024TripleCrown5.0I understand it's hard to be a son of a wrestler, let alone the son of one of the very best and charismatic wrestlers of the 80s and 90s. But man, the only thing Axel took from his father is his surname. Aside from that, whatever genes his grandfather and father had for wrestling didn't get passed onto him, because he is just absolutely generic and utterly boring in-ring. You can look past the NXT stuff, because that show sucked and the only people to get over were Barrett and Danielson, the others either failed and were released or had to really work for a spot on the main roster. Putting him with Heyman seemed like a great idea, but there's a big problem... Axel just isn't good in-ring. Not saying he isn't safe or anything, but just his overall style was so vanilla. Never impressed, was given an opportunity to do something more but just couldn't reach the level that was asked of him. I did kind of enjoy the shtick he did with Bo Dallas, but that didn't last too long and got stale pretty quick. Overall, Axel isn't a great wrestler, has no charisma, is just the son and grandson of two famous, great wrestlers.

3909.06.2024SevenLeg3.0For a guy who's been with WWE for 10 years, I failed to see any kind of improvements. I wouldn't be able to tell even one of his strengths. His pairing with David Otunga as the New Nexus was bad, his pairing with Ryback was bad. The only time he was involved in something entertaining was with the B-Team and that was mostly Miz' and Bo's work.

5913.12.2023Loge4.0Did not profit at all from Heyman's management and was teamed up with Ryback to make sure RybAxel was the shittiest thing on your TV every week. Idk. I never really liked any of his matches. At least not his single matches. I just dont see an IT factor at least with the way he acted on screen.

6825.05.2023Giantfan19805.0Another case of a generational wrestler having to live up to the mythical status of his Father and his grandfather was a a big name in his own time too! The table was set against him when they kept trying to get him over by mentioning Mr Perfect Curt Hennig so he never was able to get out of the shadow. Still a lot more talent than David Sammartino and Eric Watts.

7717.02.2023WhatIsLooveee6.0Absolutely not the level of his legendary father and grandfather, but still a solid wrestler who stayed in the biggest company in the world for a really long time, although he was mainly a jobber, periodically performing in the mid-card and even winning the intercontinental championship after re-debuting in the main roster. Curtis was particularly good at comedic alliances with Ryback, Damien Sandow and Bo Dallas, but was quite boring as a solo performer. He has a good base, he is a decent wrestler of a technical style who did his job well, although he never claimed higher roles in the company.

8102.01.2023envi6.0he was doomed from the start. his whole WWE run was focused on him being Mr. Perfect's son and this did more harm than good. he was a decent worker but the constant comparisons to his father led to a bigger expectation of him. he had a few good stints. his AxelMania gimmick was really over at one point. his IC title win and pairing with Paul Heyman looked promising but that led nowhere. other than that, the rest of his run was pretty forgettable. he had potential to be a great mid card wrestler but he seemed lost in the shuffle.

8519.09.2022AlDente016.0Always in the shadow of his father. Curtis had the potential to be a good midcarder, but WWE only used it once by giving him the title of IC and Heyman as manager. Later it was only worse - being the weaker element of the tag team division: RybAxel, Meta Powers, Social Outcasts, Miztourage, B-Team. Even winning the tag team championship did not allow him to stay on top, which is a pity. Axel is a decent competitor with skills. Gimnick of someone who wants to come out of his father's shadow was also good and he had potential.
