Marcela has long been the best lady wrestler from Mexico, and in her prime she was at the same level as the top Japanese talent. She was simply amazing all around. She brought about the only period when female wrestling was taken seriously in Mexico and her long and amazing feud with Ayumi Kurihara was deemed worthy to main-event the Arena Mexico and drew excellent money. Sadly tear and wear have taken their toll on her and CMLL seems to have lost interest in their female division, so these days Marcela seems content to help her (not so talented) daughter break into the business and have the occasional tour of Japan, where she's always warmly welcome due to being a highly respected BJW Dojo alumna. |
