212.10.2025slumberingghost10.0At the time of this writing Ueno is a nine year pro and a complete, perfect wrestler. If you created a guy in a lab to be a big match wrestler, you couldn't do better. Innovative offense, spectacular agility, and character work that implies that behind his princely aesthetic is an insanely driven guy who loves hitting and getting hit. Charming in interviews, killer in the ring. Add to that his excruciatingly funny moments both in DDT and as Mr. Bueno in Baka Gaijin, and there's really nothing he can't do. Currently slated to be the tippy top guy in DDT and deservedly so. Thank you Takeshita for bringing your schoolmate into pro wrestling.
302.10.2025forgottenname7.0I don't leave comments on wrestlers very often, but this is a special case. The third iteration of Kota Ibushi recently regained the KO-D belt, announcing one of the most uninteresting main events of the Ultimate Party in recent times, and the reason for this is that Yuki Ueno is the exact opposite of "development." Yuki was a young and promising handsome man. His first reign with the Universal Championship was the peak of his career to date. A hot, young, athletic underdog who grows as he faces various obstacles. The problem is that after this, Yuki Ueno has not changed in any way and has not gone through any path. Yuki is still Yuki, and this is the most frustrating aspect. However, this is a problem with the original Ibushi and its subsequent clones. Nevertheless, I cannot ignore his obvious talent and athleticism. Ueno is very precise, and his moves are convincing and well-executed. Sometimes, with some opponents, Ueno shows his best qualities and tells great stories, but 90% of his matches are a cheap fireworks festival, and the psychology is reminiscent of the terrible match between MAO and Ueno on Peter Pan, where both characters came out of the story empty-handed, and the story itself was overshadowed and essentially a sham. In addition, Ueno tends to play lifeless and schematic matches, and I think this has led to a very interesting reaction to the "young star, " including the complete silence in Korakuen Hall after his victory over Higuchi, and the fact that only women support him because he is handsome. However, if we compare him to Ibushi, we can see that Ibushi's presence was a driving force behind the success of DDT, while Ueno does not attract new viewers. To be honest, at the moment, Yuki Ueno is one of the biggest mysteries in wrestling for me. He doesn't attract an audience, and he's a typical athlete with no character or development, yet he continues to be a top star for DDT.

1822.10.2024Barddot9.0Yuki Ueno, for my money, is the greatest member of the DDT Roster. A guy who can do comedy but also has insane in-ring skill as well. Not only does he look like a younger Kota Ibushi, but he works like him too. I for see great thing in Yuki Ueno's future as he could be a top star in any promotion in Japan, something that a lot of them are lacking right now.

3711.06.2023incujoni10.0Ueno is literally the best. If he was out there on the world arena he would surely be much more popular because he is an insanely good technician, fast and flexible. He is always fun to watch and good at facing opponents with all sorts of fighting styles, as he is always learning new techniques, and learning fast. His progress is pretty impressive, I think DDT should promote him better and give him the opportunity to win more titles cause he deserves it. Also probably one of the purest babyfaces in DDT, they love making him suffer though, the way he sells always makes you feel bad for him. I also love him as a part of The 37KAMIINA, they fit together pretty well and there are many matches where his stablemates make him shine even more.

6130.12.2021NikoKillbain8.0Ueno is a gifted athelete who DDT are rightly grooming. He had an unexpectedly tremendous Universal Title defense at Korakuen Hall in March. He also stole the show at Cyberfight alongside Konosuke. While his D-Oh Grand Prix final appearence indicates he's trending up, I don't much care for his loud, scrappy underdog gimmick that he displayed in that tournament, though his match against Akiyama was swiftly brutal and great. Happy to have him rest along the upper edge of the card without being the main guy just yet.

6720.10.2021Kung10.0Yuki Ueno is about as close to a young Kota Ibushi as we'll ever get except he's got a little more personality to him. He can basically do anything he wants to in the ring and he also happens to be in one of my favorite stables today in 37Kamina.

7428.07.2021blastostg9.0Kota Ibushi must've given DDT the ability to recreate him in a lab before he left because Yuki Ueno is basically the second coming of Ibushi. He possesses the same freakish athleticism, ability to mix high flying with technical all around skill. Should easily be the top of the promotion soon along with Takeshita. If he wrestled anywhere other than DDT, more people would be going wild for him.
7504.07.2021pierreMinne10.0In my opinion, Yuki Ueno is the future best wrestler in the world. He already has everything, he is fantastic in the ring and he is so intelligent in his wrestling too. He can work against every type of opponent, he already has stories with a lot of DDT wrestlers for the future like Endo or Brookes.

8005.05.2021Hawksrule99610.0Easily one of the most underrated talents in the world if he gets some exposure he will be a big star and a future Ace of DDT after watching his matches this year I think he now is living up to the expectations people put on him
