I am surprised as although I don't think he is very good, he is at least at the American average outside of the TV companies. He must be deeply problematic in the locker room."

He can't do basic wrestling, he doesn't know how to structure a match to tell a story, his charisma is very limited, he is just... the personification of what many people dislike about indy wrestling."

I recommend his matches from Global Wars Chicago '17 (vs. Ospreay, w/ Best Friends vs. The Elite) and Supercard Of Honor XII (ladder match w/ Young Bucks vs. SCU)."

BertPrenticesBoyToy wrote on 20.02.2019:
[5.0] "While his flying abilities can be impressive at times he adds very little otherwise. He's not particularly charismatic and his matches aren't the most sound psychology wise and his basics aren't there. His best attribute was that he had tremendous ability as a high flyer but injuries severely limited those abilities as of late before he even got injured. A never ending feud with Bully Ray in ROH didn't help him either"

His high flying is better than it should be given how new he still is to wrestling but I can't exactly invest in anything he does. The most he's ever had me interested in him was with his match against Ospreay in ROH. Hope his addition to BOSJ for 2018 will change my mind on him. I want to like Flip. Edit: He definitely changed my mind alright. Dude is God awful"

Außerdem finde ich ihn sehr unterhaltsam mit auch einem guten Mic-Work. Außerdem feiere ich ihn auf dem Youtube-Kanal der Young Bucks "Being the Elite".... Einfach toll.... Charisma 7/10; In-Ring 7/10; Mic 7/10; Persönliche Meinung 9/10 = 30/40 = 7, 5/10 = 8/10 Punkte"

[10.0] "Since my rating went away I guess I have to write a new one for more of my thoughts of Flip so here we go! Flip gordon I think is a really good wrestler who was great in the BOSJ (his best match was fighting Will ospreay 2nd place is him vs ACH) and He got 6 points in the BOSJ which is alright. I see flip one day winning the Ring of honor tv title one day and I hope He becomes more known in wrestling someday."

[7.0] "Wow I feel bad for giving Flip such a medicore rating before. He just looked so depleted of energy and contrived with his high-flying style that I couldn't get into anything he did. Even his few NJPW appearances prior to the BOSJ were pretty boring. But damn, once the 2018 BOSJ started he was certainly out to prove me wrong. He had a great explosive match against ACH on night 1 and finished the tournament with another equally great match against Ospreay, all while his other block matches were good carry jobs by him where he would force a bland wrestler like a Tiger Mask or a Kanemaru to an acceptable or even good quality match. I have no clue what changed about him, but suddenly all his moves were clicking. His acrobatics were totally on point and all his moves had great connection. He still felt a bit 'showy' at times, but it felt a lot more natural because he would play up his arrogance, and it never really felt like he was abandoning all semblance of wrestling logic to perform his stunts. The acrobatics all flowed naturally from him, and were at their best when working alongside such other great high-flying talents as the aforementioned ACH and Ospreay. I'm still not totally sold on the guy, but he's definitely impressed me with this tournament. Hopefully he doesn't fall back into old habits now."

[1.0] "Flip Gordon is maybe the most overrated young wrestler in the business. Well, he does some flips, couple other athletic things and oh, he appears on the BTE. What a great wrestler, such a talent! Well, not really. Most of his most impressive stuff (like this unnecessary flurry of kip ups) makes zero fucking sense in the context of the match. Seriously, I'm no whiny auld wrassling fan, I love high-flying, love great spotfests... but that's a bit too fucking much, considering the fact that at the moment he stops jumping around he seems lost like a little kid. Any quality of his matches is based only on quality of his opponent. I don't fucking care on what YouTube shows he appears, how many stupid theories he believes in the real life, how bad his jokes are - he isn't any good in wrestling to start with."

(I've seen him sell stomps to his back by basically doing push-ups. ) Maybe it's the flat Earth stuff? Maybe just the way he carries himself? Maybe the way in which he interacts with fans on social media? Maybe the name? Maybe it's impossible to pick one thing because it's everything! He's just... off-putting, and an immediate interest drain. His acrobatics are technically impressive, but I can't help but zone out when he's on the screen."

I think the best he could ever aspire to be is IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion or ROH Champion and even then he would unlikely hold either title for a very long time."
