"Since I started following Stardom in 2021 AZM has been one of my favorite wrestlers. Very fast style, she's steadily developed her bag into more spectacular moves, it used to be her AZMistica as the flashy move along with AZM Sushi but now she has a Canadian and even Tiger Destroyer. Whenever I see her on a match it's almost a stamp of quality, that she'll make sure it's exciting and has pace. I do wish she was presented and pushed to a higher place in the card, I figured the 5 Star Grand Prix Finals appearance would pay off to finally elevate her as a White or Red belt contender but instead it led to a defeat in the Finals and a defeat to Saya Kamitani, dropping her New Japan Strong title. Unfortunately it feels like Cosmic Angels and H.A.T.E. are going to be hogging the top of the card heading into 2026, maybe she'll be the one to dethrone Konami and finally be acknowledged as one of the top wrestlers in the company."
[10.0] "AZM is genuinely one of the greatest technicians I have seen, which is very impressive at her age. Her speed and fluidity of her movements make for high octane, high energy matches, notable examples could be during this year's 5 star GP with matches against Rina, Saya Kamitani, and Momo Watanabe. At 23 years old, she could already be considered one of the top Joshi of this era."
[10.0] "Azumi is simply incredible. She carries an aura when she enters the ring & when the bell goes I shake my head in awe. She's developed into a big match wrestler & now in the 2025 5 Star GP all the 10 years plus of experience have shone through. 4 incredible matches back to back in the playoff, qf, sf & final. Thank you Azumi!"
[9.0] "AZM is a wrestling prodigy. I mean, when you have people like Will Ospreay praising your work at such a young age, it's safe to say that you have come very far in your career, although I can't really say it was a short time for her because she already has 10 damn years of experience in this industry. She, quite literally, was born in the business and has done nothing but learn under the best for her entire childhood and the results show, No one does high-speed, fast paced wrestling with a surprising amount of technical skill better than her. Time will tell if her current skill ceiling has already been determined, or if some of the complaints people have about her style are things that can no longer be brushed off as inexperience, but for now, she sits comfortably at the top of Stardom as one their most reliable competitors."
[9.0] "AZM is a very good wrestler. But she has one major flaw, she is horrific at selling, or I guess the problem is that she doesn't sell at all. She's pretty much perfect outside of that. if she can learn to sell she's a BITW candidate."
[8.0] "A recent favorite of mine, hooked me when I was watching her Wrestle Kingdom match with Iwutani live, and now I actively look out for her singles matches. Consistently amazing to watch, and knowing that her ceiling may be even higher excites me to no end, I can't wait to see where she goes with her career."
[8.0] "It's really fascinating how good she is at such a young age. I think her ceiling is still very high, she could even surpass Io Shirai. But we'll see. My current score is 8, but it could change."
[10.0] "AZM's match with Giulia at Nagoya Big Winter in 2023 was the first Stardom singles match I ever watched live, and I've been absolutely hooked on AZM and her work ever since. Only 22 years old and already a 10 years veteran in professional wrestling, she is absolutely no joke, putting a literal living definition to the term "High Speed", she is probably next to SLK as Stardom's best High Speed Worker. Whether it's casual bangers against Momo Watanabe in the 5STAR, or the legendary SLK x AZM feud from 2022, our resident High Speed Bomb Girl has the brightest future ahead of her, can't wait to see what 2025 holds for her."
[10.0] "One of the best up and coming young talents in the entire world, she's been one of the best in-ring talents alive for multiple years and at her age, she'll only improve, genuinely could become one of the best to ever do it when it's all said and done, top 5 in the world for me and it's only up from here... 10/10."
[8.0] "She looks like a technical wrestling professor even though she is only 18. I mean, like ZSJ or Bobby Gunns. I remember how people lost their shit while looking at Tyler Bate and Pete Dunne when they was something like 20, but what about this girl? I think she's even more impressive. Hope she'll become the next big thing from QQ in future."
[10.0] "AZM is one of the best wrestlers in the world today. Incredible high speed style wrestler. Great high flyer and technician too. Her selling is fantastic and its very easy to get attached to her emotionally"
[8.0] "(Sorry english is not my firtst language) One of the best technic and highflying wrestlers of her generation and in my opinion best highspeed champion in stardom history"
[9.0] "'When I had a match in AEW the other day, there were some wrestlers I met for the first time in about eight years, and we talked about old times... I've been in this industry for a long time, so I know a lot of people". This recent quote from AZM is interesting because 1. it's true as she has over a decade of experience and 2. she's only twenty one years old. If you are unfamiliar with Queen's Quest, it's a faction started by Io Shira (Iyo Sky) in Stardom in 2017. The faction has always been a stronghold for future talent, and it is no coincidence that AZM has been the longest tenured member in the faction's history. As far as my rating for AZM, it is based on three factors that Bret Hart uses when talking about a wrestler's rating: look, promo, and in-ring ability. Starting with look, AZM is quite short, standing only 5 feet tall (152.5 cm). Similar to Suzu Suzuki, AZM strikes harder than her height would suggest. Her ring gear is awesome and she has the look of a main-event level joshi. Moving on to mic skills, this is probably my biggest area of concern for her, as it seems she would like to follow in Io Shirai's footsteps, evidenced by her successful matches overseas in AEW and NJPW's Windy City Riot in Chicago. However, there are a fair amount of joshi wrestlers that got over in the US despite not being fluent in English, so the path to success is viable regardless. Lastly, AZM's ring-work is amazing. I believe cruiserweight wrestlers need at least two qualities to help fans suspend their disbelief. AZM's qualities are her powerful strikes and high flying maneuvers. Many cruiserweights can perform solid floor routines, but they lack impact and rely on their opponent overselling moves like head scissors to get over. This isn't the case with AZM as she uses her speed to make her moves look impactful. She's also extremely fun in matches with four or more participants, as she can pull off long spots full of counters without her matches looking choreographed. Her style is easy to get into and it's part of the reason she got over so quickly with American crowds in her handful of stateside matches in April of 2024. All in all, AZM has the look and skill to become an all-time great wrestler. Her last missing piece will be if she can captivate audiences not just with through her skills, but through her emotions as well."
[9.0] "Just to preface this and any other reviews I do. None of this means anything, I just enjoy writing and Ive found this is a fantastic outlet for it whilst also talking about something I genuinely love. My ratings are just my stupid little opinions and I don't know anything but I appreciate anyone who reads them! Thanks! Easily my favorite Wrestler currently all around the world. Her run this year has been phenomenal and eye-opening to those who haven't followed her career. Her matches with Starlight Kid at Stardom Cinderella Journey In Nagaoka where she started her second reign with the High Speed Championship. Her match with Fukigen and Hazuki solidified her admittedly relatively lackluster second reign and tied it all back around to when Hazuki lost the belt in a discussion in the same trio at Stardom World Big Summer In Osaka. (Though I do hope this leads to a big singles match between Hazuki and AZM for the strap.) Additionally, her matches in 2021 and 2022's 5Star Grand Prix tournaments have piqued my enjoyment with a great showing this year. Along with these opponents, shes also worked wonderfully with most of her Queens Quest faction members; more specifically Momo Watanabe, those two have great matches through 2019, 2020 & 2021. So as you can very clearly see this was written a good while ago but just the same as the one I did for her (former) faction mate, it all stands true and then some. Amongst the matches already mentioned, there was also one specifically I remember from years ago yet cant remember the exact date of the show, however, it was a 2 on 2 tag match between the AZM & Utami taking on Kamitani & Watanabe. Fantastic stuff between all involved however AZM was very easily the standout in it for me. In recent times has proven not just her ability in ring but also in likeability as she made her debut on American TV where she was very much in tune with those in attendance. Overall another one of my favorites in the current day and shes got unlimited potential which I hope is seen through as shes truly fantastic."
[10.0] "AZM is a star and what is scary is she already has been for a while and she is still so young, by the time she retires she will be one of the best joshi wrestlers of all time. Hopefully soon she will get a world title run that she truly deserves."
[9.0] "Wow...that triple threat from Sakura Genesis today was my first match ever when it comes to AZM. I'm already a fan, she's absolutely amazing. Crisp, innovative, charismatic, fast, ... you can really go on and on with her. Truly wonderful wrestler."
[9.0] "Incredibly good, she's one of the most experienced wrestlers in Stardom, pretty crazy to think when she's only 20 years old but she started really young. She's doing everything with ease, can work long matches as well as sprints and makes everyone look good. It's very difficult to have a bad match with AZM. One of the most reliable and easy to enjoy wrestlers right now."
[10.0] "Simply the pearl of modern pro-wrestling! Just 20 years old, and already one of most iconic wrestlers in joshi history! Charismatic, beautiful, very well-mooded all the time. she makes heartwarming matches everytime, and there's no other wrestler in the world who makes what she do: be fast, agile, technical and with a cirurgical precision at same time. Everytime she get in the ring, it's like we just see just the peak of the iceberg, because she always have a surprise to show. She is also the greatest High Speed champion, with unbeliavable 16 defenses, and there's no sign of her slowing down (well, it's impossible to her! ). If one day, Stardom decides to rename this belt, will be fair call it "AZM Championship", because, think about High-Speed wrestling, the first name who comes to mind it's AZM! 10, and because it's the highest rating possible here!"
[10.0] "The best female wrestler of all time, and best wrestler of any gender of the last 20 years or more. Her matches with Starlight Kid reminds me of Guerrero vs Mysterio from 30 years ago."
[10.0] "yeah easily one of the best wrestlers ive ever seen and she is only 20. the main flaw she has is people cant keep up thats crazy. i can see her being a serious goat contender in the next 10 years 10/10"
[10.0] "She is perfect. Never a bad match and amazingly charismatic on whatever the occasion. She's only 20 years old and is better than most wrestlers in their prime."
[8.0] "AZM is a wrestling prodigy. At the time of writing, she is JUST 20 YEARS OLD. She wrestles as if she has been in the business for 10+ years... oh wait, she has! AZM started at such a young age, and each time she has improved dramatically in-ring. One of the future top female wrestlers of the business."
[8.0] "AZM is one to watch. She's very quick and smooth in her matches, and she has that "it" factor to her. In a few years she's going to be incredible, and even now she's very good."
[10.0] "Absolutely incredible wrestler. Speed that is almost unparalleled in wrestling and a moveset that seems almost impossible for someone her age. Having a killer run as the High Speed Champion, and am stoked to see her continue to advance to bigger titles. She's going to be a legend by the time she's 25."
[10.0] "She's a natural. She was made for this. Sometimes these things can be visible with the naked eye. Can't wait for her to get her hands on the big titles."
[9.0] "AZM found her personality in late 2021 and 2022. She went from annoying bratty child to kind of shy and aloof, to the outspoken "paisen" of QQ. Very smooth and fast in the ring, and great selling as well."
[10.0] "When I first saw AZM in 2016, she was only 14 years old. And I didn't believe that. She was good, really good for her age. And now, in her 16 years, she is the best young talent in Stardom and one of the best performers in principle. She's a great in-ring worker, she is very charismatic and good talking. And AZM doesn't stop on the attained and in her self-development, she continues to progress, and this little girl will be one of the greatest female wrestlers in the world. UPD 2022: It's time for 10."
[10.0] "At this point in time, AZM is my favorite pro wrestler on the planet. She's blossomed from a fabulous "teenager" wrestler into a fabulous overall wrestler. She's got charisma, the in-ring ability, and the gravitas to become one of the heads of the table, so to speak, at Stardom. She's a remarkable talent"
[10.0] "I really like AZM. She is ridiculously good for her age; having been wrestling for years even though she is just 19. I see her becoming one of the greatest of all time. Her moves are a perfect mix of beauty and brutality. She is pretty charismatic, her attitude is great and fits into Queen's Quest well."
[9.0] "She's one of the best wrestlers in the world under 25 and probably the best under 20. She has everything to become an absolute legend in the joshi scene. She's high speed yes but she works just as well at a normal pace. Her athleticism, transitions and reversals are just so good. I'm expecting a big 2022 from her so I think i'll be changing my rating to a 10 pretty soon."
[9.0] "She's transcended just being great for her age to just being great, period. She holds her own against every talent in Stardom, and her recent 5Star Grand Prix match with Takumi Iroha was the best match on that card. I can't wait to see how she continues to improve."
[9.0] "Only little shits and grandmas don't rate AZM with at least a nine, she's that good. Waiting for her and Kid to become the legit top two in Stardom/"
[7.0] "AZM is one of those wrestlers I always enjoy seeing, especially after she dropped the high flyer act and started to focus more on the submission game. She's very charismatic as well and can cut good promos, something Queen's Quest desperately needs given Saya Kamitani and Utami Hayashishita are absolutely terrible at them and Momo Watanabe is a monodimensional character. If her generation of wrestlers is anything to go by, joshi is in very good hands for the future."
[10.0] "A sensational talent. She always exuded charisma and top quality, humorous promos even as a rookie, but she has developed into such a great, fast paced, technically gifted performer. It is actually scary to think how good she can become at just 18 years of age. One of her few weaknesses was developing a presence, which her rival Starlight Kid had, but she has gained a lot of confidence in that regard, and is growing in star power. A prodigy that is going to become something special indeed."
[8.0] "It's insane to think about where AZM is in her career at only 18 years of age. She feels like a very seasoned veteran, and yet, she's still a teenager. And she's very very good in multiple areas. Almost scary to think how much she could progress in the years to come. Though she's light & small, her stuff does not look exceptionally weak. She is not afraid to lay things in & do her best to make everything look legit. Her personality also shines through. So often you see younger girls play the babyface role. But AZM is stellar when she lays in thick her bitchy side & works the heel role. She has a great scowl & probably my favorite thing she does to insult her foes is when she'll refer to them as "grandmas"."
[9.0] "this is my first review here, and i knew that i had to make it on the fastest rising, and one of my personal favorite's AZM. for someone that's only 18 years old and just graduated from High School, she's ridiculously good, it's almost unreal to even think about the quality of her work, she's ridiculously good in the promos too, she basically took the young cockiness that all children have (You had it too. don't act like you didn't) and just ramps it up into an entire roast session. overall, great wrestler, great talker, great charisma, she will be something way bigger than she already is in at least 4 years time. mark my words."
[9.0] "She improves so much day per day ! When I started watching Stardom, I didn't really care about her but now I understand how much she is fantastic. The future of the company for me, a big deal for Stardom for the next years. She has the star power."
[10.0] "Every time AZM is in a match, i know she is going to entertain me and its going to be a good match. The thing is, it's always better than i was expected. She's gold."
[9.0] "She has a potential to become the biggest wrestling star in the near future. AZM is doing so much progress in such a short time, it's just amazing. She's got a great look and an awesome attire. Her wrestling style is a perfect combination of grappling, striking, throwing and highflying. Her matches are always fast paced and very exciting. I don't remember as skilled wrestler at such a young age - nor woman, nor man."
[8.0] "Despite being just 16 years of age, AZM is one of the smoothest in-ring workers on the Stardom roster. She is also very charismatic and plays the bully role well. However her age is also her main hindrance, as because she is still at school, she isn't given a major role within the company and doesn't have many big singles matches."
[9.0] "At her age she's already doing many of the performers skill and has vast experience of not even being an adult. I'm afraid to imagine how great a performer she will be by the age of 20. Watching her progress from her first watched episode in 2015 and hoping she won't stop."
[9.0] "She loves this shit, she'd rather die than not do this shit! 16 years old yet a 30 year veteran she was smack talking 28 year olds whilst you were still watching Gaea. You look back to where Stardom started? You look at Mayu Iwatani? You think long and god damn hard about why AZM was Fuka's favourite. And you want to even try and suggest any of Utami "4 moves" Hayashishita's 5 star matches were better than AZM vs Mayu or AZM vs Kid in 2018 then you best wake the fuck up! AZM was the past when she was verbally decimating her opponents at the age of 11, she's the present in being the number one high speed worker in Stardom, and she's the god damn future when she shows that she's Io's one true protege. AZM is MDK motherflipper!"
[9.0] "AZM is as crisp and technically proficient a rookie as you'll find in Stardom, and though she is frequently the fall girl of her unit, she is often a highlight of any undercard she works in, and its clear that Stardom is starting to take notice. Her draw against Starlight Kid in June, her future challenge against Mayu Iwatani and her feud with Natsu Sumire are all good starting points to get a feel of what AZM is all about."
[9.0] "AZM is a solid wrestler and very well spoken. She has grown a lot in her skills and continues to amaze and surprise the audience each match. One thing that hooks you right away is her in ring skills. She is so fast and will pull a move out of the air. She is the future of Stardom and one day will be a top champion. Also her mic kills are great and I hope she never quits calling others Grandmas, Fat Ones and Little turds. If you are looking for someone to else to keep your eyes on in Stardom keep them locked on AZM. She will amaze and make you a fan automatically."
[7.0] "AZM is finally starting to come into her own. Her selling has always been great and her bumping has improved , her wrestling and timing have increased dramatically in the last few months though. 2018 will be a big year for her. Bow Down to the Queens."
[7.0] "AZM is one of, if not the youngest wrestler in Stardom. When she debuted, she was greener than grass and not particularly exciting in the ring. As she has gotten older and wrestled more matches, she has really grown into her own, and I am starting to become a fan. I don't think she will a star anytime soon, she is developing into a wrestler I actively want to see win. I could see her holding a big singles title by the end of 2018."
