4 | 06.04.2025 | crs285 | 8.0 | Hammerstone feels like a throwback bodybuilder powerhouse despite only being 6'2" and 250. He was a huge star of MLW even when he was the bodyguard of MJF. He later became the heavyweight champion and had a dominant run at the top. Surprised it did not work out better for him in TNA. In the ring he has the aura of a big man who moves well. He is solid on the mic. A lot to like with Hammerstone. |

6 | 13.01.2025 | 77mega6 | | Look, I get it--Hammerstone's got his thing going on. But let's be honest for a second. He doesn't quite fit the mold of those classic '80s heavy hitters like Hogan or Warrior who could really slam their way through a crowd. Sure, he's got some flashy moves and a decent promo game, but I can't help but feel he's missing that larger-than-life presence that made wrestling so electrifying back in the day. I mean, there's something to be said for charisma, and he's got a bit of that. But when it comes to that raw power and spectacle we all loved in the '80s, he falls a little flat. It's like he's trying to do his own thing, and while that's cool, it just doesn't hit the same way those iconic wrestlers did. If you're into a new style that mixes things up, he's worth a look. But if you want that classic wrestling magic, you might want to stick with the legends of yesteryear! Hes alright... |

8 | 08.10.2024 | Dy1789 | 7.0 | Hammerstone is a bit of a throwback bodybuilder type wrestler you don't see much these days. He looks the part and a guy you would want to represent your wrestling company. I enjoyed his time in MLW and his feud with Jacob Fatu. |
9 | 30.09.2024 | Paul E Safely | | Funny seeing so many commenting on guys like Hammerstone and Jake Something as being great "big men". Shows how much the size of your average wrestler has decreased over the last 2 decades. Hammerstone would not have been considered a big man in wrestling as recently as the early-mid 2000's, and certainly not in the 90's. 6'1", 250 used to be about average. Not much bigger than or even similar in size to everyone from Ric Flair to Harley Race to Steve Austin to Triple H, none of whom were considered "big men". He's a body guy, more comparable to guys like John Cena. Love Hammerstone's work in the ring. His matches in MLW with Jacob Fatu remain some of the best that promotion has ever produced. About 2 years ago when they held the first Fightland special on Vice TV Hammerstone was really hot, winning Battle Riot & the MLW belt, but MLW has cooled off considerably since then and I was glad when Hammerstone left and ended up in Impact. Nice seeing him on NXT, at least the guy he put over (Oba Femi) is one of the hottest prospects in WWE developmental, and I felt like Hammerstone looked good during that match. Would really like to see him used more in NXT during this TNA partnership and eventually sign with WWE. I'm sure he would've loved the AEW paycheck, but unfortunately there's a good chance he'd have been lost in the shuffle there like so many other promising signings. Might've had a semi-hot debut, but with the majority of AEW signings it doesn't take long before the booking cools them off in a hurry. So I think if he couldn't land a WWE deal TNA is likely the next best option at this point for Hammerstone, at least for fans. Would be interesting to see him in Japan at some point too. Fantastic talent in the ring, great look, promo could use improvement but working with the right producers in the right promotion that seems achievable. Easily 7/10 right now |

14 | 11.08.2024 | Rassle Fan | 6.0 | He's a throwback type of wrestler but he's uncomfortably muscular and his face turns purple during every match. He is fair skinned so that could be it but he honestly doesn't look very healthy and that's distracting and ruins the immersion during the matches. |

16 | 29.05.2024 | RadZaw | | There are not many real powerhouses that look so good these days. Now there is Hammerstone, young, muscular, pretty strong and good lookin'. For sure, Alex isn't "one of the best in the world", mainly bc there are people like Ospreay, Omega or Danielson, but Hammerstone is still a good choice to build company around (for example by making him the main champ). |

24 | 07.02.2024 | tcooke44 | | One of the most underrated wrestlers of the modern era. Yes his mic skills aren't the best, but he more than makes up for it with his in ring work. The closest wrestler I can compare him to is early days Brock Lesnar, he's got a similar physique and a similar move set. If WWE were smart, they'd sign him and make him the new Brock and then they can scrub Brock off the face of the earth the horrible prick |

31 | 06.09.2023 | Bullshark1 | 8.0 | Hammerstone reminds me of a more modern Hulk Hogan, with less charisma but better promo skills. The guy is fit to win any title he wants in any promotion, from WWE to Impact. All he needs is the right moment for a major company (besides MLW) to notice him. |

54 | 09.10.2021 | Beurt | 9.0 | Alex Hammerstone is currently the best Big Man in Professional Wrestling. He has great charisma, absolutely insane shape, but his in ring work, and even more so his acting, both as a dominant heel or a superheroic babyface, are his greatest qualities. I wouldn't be surprised if Hammerstone, in a few years, becomes one of the most talked about professional wrestlers in the entire world. |

60 | 09.12.2020 | Moose Nugget | 9.0 | Hammerstone is a very exciting wrestler with a great look, is fun to watch and the ring, can cut good promos and carries himself fantastically. I don't think he quite has the ability to have a great match with anyone, like if he can't throw them around it's not going to be as fun to watch. As long as he's in the ring with someone who's healthy and young it's going to be good time for fans. |
61 | 02.11.2020 | Resident | 3.0 | So far from what I have seen he is terrible on the mic and doesn't have much charisma. He is also terrible in the ring, slow, and robotic. Not sure why he is getting a push in MLW, he's not a very good wrestler at all from what what I've seen. Other members of the Dynasty like Holliday actually have charisma and MJF, who used to be there, is one of the best heels around, but Alexander is not. He has a good look, is muscular, and has power, but he's not good in the ring or on the mic. |
62 | 18.09.2020 | SkylerLovefist | 9.0 | Damn good worker, good look, good on the mic regardless of what the comment saying he isn't says, has fantastic chemistry with Richard Holliday and is one of the highlights of MLW. As much as I love Jacob Fatu and Contra, Hammer needs the belt like yesterday. |
63 | 28.05.2020 | Hateleko | 9.0 | One of the best big men in wrestling today. His moves are precise and varied and he has the power to lift people effortlessly. This man is going to be a big star. |
64 | 08.04.2020 | storkyknight | 8.0 | I really enjoy the Meatcastle's powerhouse wrestling style. In a wrestling world increasingly dominated by high risk athletic movesets, Hammerstone is a brilliant contrast. He is not only very solid and powerful, but very accurate. He has an imaginative set of throws that allows him to mix it up unlike many powerhouses in the minor leagues. Has a lot of potential thanks to his technical skills and look, but needs to find a mentor to take him to the next level. |
65 | 29.03.2020 | HenrideSade | 8.0 | Hammerstone is the kind of big man Vince creams for, with one notable exception, he can wrestle. He sounded awkward and looked out of place when first put with the Dynasty but those days are over. Hammerstone is all upsides. Putting the Openweight title on him and keeping it on him long-term has been a great move. So few signature moves look impressive these days but Hammerstone's Nightmare Pendulum makes you grimace every time he hits it. MLW needs to keep hold of him! |

67 | 28.07.2019 | cmontage | 8.0 | Hammerstone has quickly gone from being just another bigger guy who happens to have a cocky heel gimmick to one of my favorite characters in any promotion over the last few months with his current MLW run. They really made a great decision by having him win the tournament for the newly created openweight championship. It's furthering the Dynasty/Hart Foundation feud as well as giving him a chance to shine, creating an interesting dynamic between himself and MJF/Richard Holiday. Considering his age and only being active for a few years now he seems to have a ton of potential in his near future with whatever promotion he finds himself in. |

Watching him monthly on PPW, and he's getting better day by day. Hope he gets so mainstream attention later in his career, as he's very young, maybe a WWE contract you know? Big fan of the guy |
