226.01.2025ElGranJotafigaro3.0An overrated wrestler, and an even more overrated trainer. Guanchulo began his career wrestling in both cities of Rancagua and Talca, with moderate success. The guy was a japanese-language apprentice, so after some years, he ventured to wrestle in Japan, finally arriving at Dramatic Dream Team. After some years of wrestling as a gaijin, he returned to Chile. He was smart enough to get along with chilean wrestling media, who promoted the guy as a national hero. Therefore, many chilean promotions insisted on making him the new top guy. He also founded a wrestling school called Yeyos Dojo. Everybody was amazed of the high quality of Guanchulo's trainees, and wrestling media labeled Yeyos Dojo as the "best wrestling school in Chile". However, this is where the real problem was. Because what most wrestling media and fans didn't realize at the time, is that almost each and every "student" of Guanchulo were already trained by other chilean instructors. Those wrestlers were lesser-known midcard names in other promotions, and used Guanchulo's status as a "hero" to gain recognition from fans and media as his disciples. As a matter of fact, his most successful "student", La Catalina, already had a 5 year career by that time, and was already trained by Revolución Lucha Libre's instructors Coyote and Montoya; La Catalina spent less than six months under Guanchulo's tutelage before leaving to compete in WWE NXT. To make matters worse, Yeyos Dojos only lasted two years before closing down. Therefore, the reason I'm giving this guy a 3 out of 10 is because of how unauthentic he actually is. Still don't get why he needed to present others people's work as his own, if he already had a good reputation. While he had some improvement in his in-ring work after his venture to Japan, is not much different form his pre-Japan work. Whenever he wrestled in 5 Luchas Clandestino, instead of showing everybody his puroresu background, he instead resorted on doing all kinds of bizarre, senseless and grotesque stuff, that included shoving a burning incense inside another guy's rectum, and crossdressing in the most homoerotic way. While those antics were supposed to be funny, in fact weren't by any inch, and even disturbed some attenting fans. However, in the last years, the popularity of Guanchulo has been fading in Chile, not only because his actions didn't meet the expectations, but also because he has been largely overshadowed by much more successful chilean performers that ventured to Japan. While Guanchulo was used his entire DDT tenure as a jobber and a low-card comedy act, gals like Stephanie Vaquer and AKARI have acomplished to be taken far more seriously as wrestlers, and even win championships in New Japan Pro Wrestling and PURE-J respectively.
303.01.2025tlaustin6.0He's currently going by Diego in DDT and judging by the past comments, it seems like his desire for over-the-top comedy is a lot more a home here than it was in his previous locations. He's currently a fine low/mid-card act that moves well in the ring and generates some sympathy as a face-gaijin trying to fit in. I like him. I have zero desire to see him move further than where he is at the moment, but that could change easily.

605.11.2017KingLagarto8.0Guanchulo is a good wrestler, probably one of the best Chilean Wrestlers outside the country. The guy is fast, has a simple move set, but he can give a good match with it.

817.09.2016Joakox8.0Guanchulo have a great carisma in the ring, he is not the best, but is entertaining and have a lote of things to do is young and have potential. Is from Chile, like Alejandro Saez and thats great he is putting Chile in the map of Professional Wrestling
923.08.2016Boris The Menace5.0He has a fun little gimmick and he is an alright worker. Considering the fact Guanchulo comes from a country that doesn't really have a rich history for professional wrestling, he deserves respect for being able to get a spot in a main promotion in Japan.
1029.04.2016hybris10.0Despite he is a comedy character, and sometimes that character could probably overwhelm you, its not just that. Guanchulo is a very talented and good in ring worker, so you will never get bored with him. Aguante Guanchulo #PushGuanchulo
1128.04.2016Laurelles6.0Decent lower carder who most likely won't amount to anything significant; saying this, he has a good look (aside from being probably too thin) and is pretty charismatic so who knows. Unlikely he'll ever break out of the lower cards in DDT or the USA (if he ever chooses to go there), but perfectly enjoyable on the whole.
