He had great work in singles and tag matches, for New Japan and Zero-One afterwards, it was even cool to see him at Jushin Liger's retirement match at WK14 night one. |

He's an absolute powerhouse who's stiff as hell with some of the coolest moves I've ever seen. He's not flashy but he's bombastic, he's kind of like Tomohiro Ishii in a way not discounting the fact they were both trained by Riki Choshu. Takaiwa is just a brute force little monster who's had a long career and is still awesome even in the Ganbare Pro shows. I hope more people check him out aside from that All Timer with Marufuji, Takaiwa's just so awesome. |
