[8.0] "Dutch Mantel is a great voice of reason in the mid 2020s as a pretty big podcast voice. Mantell's experience is priceless, providing plenty of insight into the territory days, Smoky Mountain Wrestling, Puerto Rico, the WWF-WCW Monday Night Wars, TNA, and modern WWE. I don't always agree with him but again his perspective is authentic and respectable."

A lot of his heel and promo work was very low hanging fruit. That was the style at the time but a lot of heels didn't always resort to that. I think some of his best work was as a commentator and manager in SMW."

His work booking iwa puerto rico is brilliant and was extremely impactful to the wrestling scene there. Also a pretty great in ring worker, just an all around mind of the business"

[10.0] ""Dirty" Dutch Mantell's impact on the wrestling business, especially in Puerto Rico, cannot be overstated. Both as an on-screen talent, a source of wisdom behind the scenes, and a booker of various territories, he has left a tremendous mark on the landscape of pro wrestling."

[6.0] "Did Dutch talk about Cagematch on his podcast or something? What's with all the recent reviews? Anyways, Dutch was okay - I know that sounds harsh, but I don't mean it in a bad way. He was a good hand to have back then, and he did have very good wrestling knowledge and was fundamental in the careers of other wrestlers. His work as Uncle Zebekiah wasn't much of anything and I wasn't a fan of his work as Zeb Colter. His prime is his work pre-WWF, but in terms of modern wrestling he was a decent behind the scenes worker in TNA before his release 2009. I couldn't care less about his podcast or social media opinions, personally, although he's talked bad about a few wrestlers that I really enjoy and who I feel were better than him (such as Mr. Wrestling II) which does slightly sour him for me - although I'm not taking that into account in my rating. And I'm not someone who agrees with his political opinions or his anti-modern independent wrestling stance, but that's not something that ever effects my rating of someone. I'd say 6 is a fair rating, although I may rate lower given the influx of new 10 ratings. He does have some good matches under his belt though, pretty much all of his infamous feuds have good matches under them."

[10.0] "One of the greatest of all time, both in the ring and out of it. The wrestling industry would not be the same without Dutch. In my opinion some of the best work of Dutch I'd seen was his run in Memphis. Great matches with Jerry Lawler and Bill Dundee. Dutch has great microphone skills and his commentary on Smokey Mountain made some of the shows. He had a good run managing in WWE and as of Jan 2024 he's kicking out an awesome Podcast. Also, his ability to take a mid card talent like Jake Hager and have him be a legitimate world champion carried almost solely on his managerial heat is nothing short of amazing. Truly an all time great."

[7.0] "EDIT: ok Dutch, you wanted us cagematch inmates to rate you and with that comes an edit from me, raising The Dutchman's score some: Just another bod-ah hah, no no, not just any other body, THE FURRIEST BODY! Exceptional grasp on pacing & timing. Really great at selling and meshing well with anyone (not a very notable offense though). Amazing mind for the business who came up with countless gimmicks, phrases, names and angles (including some of my favorites). EXCELLENT at tag team wrestling; the team with Bobby Jaggers was an elbow drop n smash marathon. A lil overrated due to his longevity & youtube presence - but he was always right where he needed to be, when he needed to be there and still is! I have strong (negative) feelings about him and the Brody incident and some respect was lost. Furthermore, his obsession with Sting and Lex Luger as his favorite scapegoat sometimes gets silly. The positives far outweigh the handful of negatives, plus he's likeable as a human. 7.25"

Mantell, also known to many as 'Zeb Colter', has been a cornerstone in the industry, known for his outstanding performances both in and out of the ring. His ability to engage audiences, whether as a wrestler or a manager, has been nothing short of remarkable. What truly sets Mantell apart is his instrumental role in shaping the careers of numerous wrestling icons. The Blade Runners, who later achieved fame as Sting and the Ultimate Warrior, are just one example of the talent nurtured under his guidance. His eye for talent and skill in developing it has been a significant factor in the success of many wrestling stars of the nineties and beyond. Mantell's contribution extends beyond the ring. His work as a podcast host demonstrates his continued relevance and deep understanding of the industry. Through his podcasts, he provides insightful commentary and a unique perspective that enriches the wrestling community's knowledge and appreciation of the sport. I really dug his managing for the Blu Bros & Justin Hawk Bradshaw but the We The People run was a huge missed opportunity for WWE. Storytime with Dutch is one of the best Podcasts there is out there & Dutch deserves more appreciation for all the work he has done in the ring & behind the scenes for wrestling! WE THE PEOPLE!"

A truly great territorial heel and a *very* underrated babyface in Memphis. Dutch wasn't as great a worker as Lawler or Dundee but was well above par as a "thinking man's brawler" and excelled as a booker and manager. Very very cool that he had the late-career resurgence that he did. If you're watching 80's tape rips and there's a Dutch Mantell segment, it probably kicks ass."

[10.0] "It took Dutch 40 years to finally become a high profile wrestling superstar. Although he'd been a great worker in several promotions throughout his seemingly never ending career, Dutch never achieved much in the way of fame as a wrestler. He became better known in the wrestling industry for his work behind the scenes than for his on-camera performances. It's strange that WWE decided to take this former TNA booker who had never been a wrestling legend in the traditional sense and make him one of their top managers. His character's remarks courted mainstream controversy, and gave Dutch/Zeb/Wayne Keown a special kind of notoriety he never could have hoped for a few short years earlier. This is the oddest kind of career resurgence a wrestler can have. But it couldn't have happened to a more deserving guy. Here's to hoping we see Dutch for another 40 years!"

[8.0] "One of the most entertaining and unique managers in the business today. Former wrestler Dutch Mantell has made this character stand out in so many ways. Cuts good promos and is a good mouthpiece for Jack Swagger who really needs one. Cesaro, however I admit does not really need a mouthpiece. Former Vietnam vet paid his dues in the business as both a wrestler and a booker. While he's nowhere near Paul Heyman's level as far as heel awesomeness is concerned, he's still a good mic talker with an interesting, yet controversial Libertarian/Tea Party type gimmick.
