He's on the cusp of a 10 and I think is very much about to become a deathmatch guy on the same caliber as Takeda, Kasai and others. His title run this year has been without question the best title run in wrestling in 2020. I would love to see this dude make it to the states for GCW when time allows that or to see him in BJW against some of their signed guys. The sky is the limit."

[10.0] "Toru Sugiura is turning into an absolute beat on the deathmatch scene, and his recent title defenses against Jun Kasai, Violento Jack, and even his not wholly complete death match with Masashi Takeda have evaluated him to the top of FREEDOMS deathmatch division and a major star in the scene. It definitely helps that he's got a pretty decent look, he's a pretty boy who knows how to rip you apart and survive getting light tupes shoved into his mouth and broken. Plus his recent gimmick of bringing knitted heads of his opponents is growing on me as a neat and unique thing I've never seen before, so he gets points for originality as well!"

Clearly the fact that he works in FREEDOMS and not even in their great DM division doesn't help him in giving the recognition he deserves. I wish he worked more often out of his turf to show people how much they are missing out not following him."
