[10.0] "Ichikawa is someone who I haven't been watching for very long but has greatly impacted my love of wrestling. Ichikawa is always a joy to see and is the perfect wrestler in that no-one can do what he does as well as him. It's a shame that wrestlers like Ichikawa don't come around anymore as he has a special mind for wrestling that can never be replaced. I always have high expectations whenever I see him on a show and he always manages to surpass them. I hope he can enjoy his retirement after being consistently great for the past 26 years."

[10.0] "As the retirement of Stalker/Kono Mama Ichikawa comes, I feel like his work makes him arguably the greatest wrestling jobber of all time, (if not he's gotta be the greatest in Japan) I mean for the past 20 years he's been funny as hell! Looking back at his older stuff, like his match against Tenryu in 06' is hilarious & looking at his match with Tanahashi now, he still is! He is a standard bearer of Dragon Gate, if you can't work a good match with Ishikawa, you're not a good worker. He had a role & he filled it better than anyone could. Thats why he deserves a 10 out of 10, not because he had an 8 star math in the Toyko Dome, but because he was perfect at his role, I don't think many top guys can say that they did their job perfectly, but Ishikawa can."

[8.0] "He's like Razor Ramon HG, and he does his role pretty well for a comedy wrestler. Although sometimes I hate when he takes big spots in important matches just to do his comedy schticks like Taguchi does, it still takes a laugh or two from me. But as I said, his role is specifically a comedy little demon that gets easily beaten by his opponents, with sometimes a glory or to coming around the bend. May he do this for a long time, as long as it doesn't ruin main event scenes."

"I cannot for the life of me understand how he has so many bad ratings. He is the best comedy wrestler of all time. Absolutely beside myself how bad people can miss the point with this guy. It doesn't even matter which opponent he faces because he always plays his role well."

[9.0] "Rating comedy wrestlers isn't easy, and from a pure wrestling standpoint, this guy is probably about a 4 at best. But other than that, Ichikawa is most definitely my favorite comedy wrestler of all time. He can get a bit repetitive, sure, but he rarely fails to make me smile whenever he graces the ring. His ropewalk is always a pleasure to see, and every time he attempts to dive on a group of opponents before they just walk away as if nothing happened never fails. We all need more Konomama Ichikawa in our lives."

[10.0] "If you don't like Stalker Ichikawa, you don't like fun. He's somehow managed to keep his act fresh for decades, always adding new bits to his routine, and every match I've ever seen him in at the very least gets a smirk or a chuckle, and often a legitimate LOL. The thing is, people mistake him for a bad wrestler, and he isn't! His timing and technique are great; only the *character* is a bad wrestler. How many wrestlers could pull off his recurring bit where he hits a flying headscissors, lands on his feet without harming his opponent, then walks away confused? How many can do his around-the-world ring rope walk? The man can pull off amazing moves in a way that makes him look like an absolute fool, and that takes a lot of talent. The people giving him low ratings have been tricked into believing he's actually terrible just because he's not taken seriously as a character."

[9.0] "Ok hear me out: Stalker Ichikawa is by far my favourite comedy wrestler, not just because of how funny the jokes and routines can be but how he made the art of being actively shit at wrestling an art form. I get it that many people won't see him that way but i feel as if there is a case to be made for his brand of comedy wrestling, to make a current comparison Lulu Pencil feels very Ichikawa coded with her offence but has put a positive spin on it as opposed to playing it up for "haha ain't i pathetic" laughs and feel that this isn't to be scoffed at. An (ironically) strong 9/10 comedy wrestler and will always be a personal favourite, if i had to recommend any match i'll always say vs Yoshihiro Takeyama."

[9.0] "Fantastic comedy wrestler charismatic, funny, great look, great job in Dragon Gate Owarai division. One of the best comedy wrestler in recent memories. My opinion Stalker Ichikawa deserve a better rating!"
