[9.0] "Looking at General Manager Saito now and his later comedy gimmicks, you'd not be judged to write Ryo off as a comedy wrestler but he came from a spot as a mid to top carder in Dragon Gate and was part of a number of popular stables notably DO Fixer; sharing the Dragon Fly theme as his own for most of his career. A multiple Twin and Triangle Gate Champion, a one time Dream Gate Champon, the only title to elude him was the Brave Gate. His work in ROH won match of the year in 2006 and a 5 star rating from Meltzer who has previously only given one Dragon Gate match a 5 star rating. He never hit the spot of Ace but his skills cannot be downplayed nor the influence he had on Toryumon and Dragon Gate as a wrestler and as GM going forward."

[10.0] "Ryo Saito is a one of a kind talent that cemented himself on my greatest of all time list with this great diversity in ring. Saito may be the greatest comedy wrestler of all time, not because he is the funniest, but because he can work serious, he can work funny, and both feel extremely natural. Sure his comedy spots get repeated but the off the cuff comedy he finds in the moment each match is what makes him a step ahead of everyone in my eyes. Also, his Everest german is BRUTAL. In the past year he has proved he can still go in a main event title match and has felt well utilized all across the card. It's a shame Saito didn't get more time to shine in his prime with Dragon Gate."
