[7.0] "Mizuki Watase is a capable in-ring performer, but I feel as though he is missing something to make him stand out, whether it be a gimmick, a distinctive personality or a more readily identifiable working style. Right now he is fine but a bit generic all around."
[9.0] "One of the best wrestlers on the Japanese independent circuit. He was boring, uninteresting and looked as if he didn't want to wrestle while in DDT. Since moving to Gan Pro he has turned into an outstanding wrestler. A great underdog who can also work effectively on top. His Spirit of Ganbare Title reign has been excellent so far, and his body of work since last year has been incredible."
[8.0] "Watase can go in the ring and his eyes are very expressive. I think he still maybe needs a gimmick or meatier story to get him to the next level, but again, in the ring, he's great."
[7.0] "A unique wrestler in terms of finding his true self. He had interesting images, he was luxuriously dressed and took part in interesting stories, but the truth is that he never pulled anything alone. Even the storyline with LiLiCo and Dino was just between them, while Watase himself was on the sidelines. But by joining Junretsu, he managed to become interesting. He still doesn't have a bright gimmick, I can't fully describe what he is, but he had a fire in his eyes and the rudimentary fusion with Okada before the offensive injury was very bright, and their interaction in a tag team match hinted at an amazing singles match. I'm waiting for him to return."
[7.0] "Mizuki Watase's still got some growing to do before he main events a Peter Pan show, but I truly think he's on his way there. Under the tutelage of Jun Akiyama, he's already made strides towards the upper card, and his brutal performance in the King of DDT tournament really did stand out to me, even though his match with Kazusada Higuchi was only a few minutes long. Perhaps in time I'll update my ranking, but I think the future is bright for the formally directionless youth."
