His match with Adam Page at the last PPV was a goddamn barnburner, as are all his PPV matches this year. Unusual that I'm this impressed with a talent this quickly."

I used to hate the guy and I believed he was undeservingly pushed, but now, he's had me convinced he's the future, his guy just can't stop having bangers. His feud with Ospreay was amazing and really committed himself as the next big star in AEW"

His style in ring is so fucking intense however that some matches I legit don't know if he will be able to wrestle again. Don't get me wrong, I love it, I just don't want to see him retire or worse before the age of 30. I can't wait until Kyle is the champ, because he will be soon"

He was great in Aussie Open but since becoming a singles wrestler we've seen him grow not only in the ring but on the mic as well. His feud with Ospreay shows that if it's done right, wins and losses don't always matter. He already has over a decade of experience and is on an upward trajectory and keeps getting better in the ring and on the mic."

[9.0] "Kyle Fletcher feels like a wrestler who has already outgrown the "prospect" label. His in-ring work is consistently sharp, athletic, and purposeful, blending modern pacing with fundamentals that make his matches easy to invest in. What really stands out is his growth as a singles performer--he no longer feels like "the other half" of a great tag team, but a complete act who can carry long matches and meaningful feuds. His heel work is confident without being forced, his selling is underrated, and his offense always looks crisp and believable. While there's still room to elevate his character work to true top-tier levels, his trajectory is clearly upward, and he feels like a future world-title-level performer rather than just a standout hand."
NoelBees wrote on 14.12.2025:

Redisonsashuisosi wrote on 13.12.2025:
[5.0] "Actually, I don't think Kyle Fletcher is such a bad wrestler. Among his positives, I can highlight his gimmick -- he really looks good as a heel in the ring; he's a professional when it comes to interacting with the crowd. Of course, based on my profile, it might seem like I consider Kyle the worst wrestler in human history, but that's not the case. That title belongs to Will Ospreay. But the difference between Kyle Fletcher and Will Ospreay is that at least Kyle hasn't shown matches where he hits his woman and acts like it's cool -- that's a plus. And I've seen various interviews with him, and he's a good guy. He explains his stance on completely different topics in different ways and communicates his point pretty clearly. For example, when asked why he wears pink gear, the dude explained that wrestlers before him, who are considered cult figures in the wrestling industry, wore gear of that color, but for some reason, the criticism comes specifically at him. Yeah, his problem is probably his voice. But everyone speaks with the voice they have. For example, I really love Liv Morgan, but back in 2018-2019, even I thought her voice was an issue. But that didn't stop her from becoming an incredible and badass wrestler. Now she's cutting some really cool promos. As for Kyle Fletcher's matches, most of them -- except for one recent match with Briscoe -- are absolute trash. He gets deadly head or neck moves done on him, but he keeps running and jumping. Even in the match with Mark Briscoe, which I liked, he didn't sell the aftermath of that spot on the table and kept running. I didn't rate him immediately when I first came to this site. I'm not fully familiar with his career, and I understand I might be biased or subjective. I waited long enough to form an opinion: when he's done with the TNT title, for example. After he lost the championship, I thought he'd get better, and I was ready to rate him higher. But he keeps showing zero matches with Okada and Bailey. And he's falling into the same trap again. I understand he's young and physically well-built, and maybe he needs the right opponent to bring out the best in him, not Mike Bailey or Kazuchika Okada. But for now, his matches are a huge problem -- not just for him but for entire shows. When their feud with Ospreay was announced, I thought he'd replace him and improve, but in their match at Full Gear, he managed to look even worse than Ospreay. By the way, on one of the wrestling resources, there's a poll for the Wrestler of the Year. And in the same bracket with Kyle Fletcher, there's MJF, who was getting almost the same number of votes as Fletcher. Many people are genuinely baffled by this. Most are leaning towards the idea that MJF had the worst year of his career, despite the fact that he had truly iconic matches with Mark Briscoe and Mistico, which are better than all of Fletcher's matches. He's literally now recognized as the Homelander of all wrestling, or at least AEW. At such a young age, he already has a strong Heel status, which allows him to promote other wrestlers and give them a serious boost, like what happened with Mark Briscoe. And he probably simply outgrew the promotion he's in, where there's nothing left for him to do, just like Jon Moxley. Can Fletcher boast the same right now? The question is rhetorical."

He went from a good/great tag worker, to this future stadium show main event top guy, and it happened seemingly overnight. His instincts as a heel are second to none in modern wrestling, he really just gets it. "The protostar" is a fitting nickname. He is everything you could possibly want in a worker."

Since then, he's become ROH World TV Champion, TNT Champion, and challenged for the AEW World Championship in the main event spot on a PPV. Sky is the limit for Fletcher at 26, as he continues to improve match by match and promo by promo."

[9.0] "The ProtoStar Kyle Fletcher is (alongside Takeshita) and this is not an understatement the future of the industry at just 26 years only and having only been a singles a pure singles wrestler on tv since after Wrestledream 2023 when Mark Davis who with Kyle were already one of the best tag team in the business got injured, which has turned out to be a blessing in disguise for the career of Kyle. As it has allowed him to show the world what an amazing singles wrestler and my breakout star of 2024, From his 4 matches and amazing feud with Ospreay which ended at Revolution in a Star making performance for him in a MOTYC to his series with Mark Briscoe and his Work in the Continental Classic he has shown he is not an Ospreay clone but in fact he is the real deal. He has the in-ring ability along with his lethal top rope brainbuster finish, the look and the charisma on the mic to go all the way to the top of the industry and hopefully he will get his first AEW singles gold in the coming months, I have rated him around an 8.5 but that will only continue to rise as he goes from The ProtoStar into the Big Star. Right i am back to this post All out and this man has just gone to another level that includes his TNT title street fight win vs Dustin in one of the best TV matches of the year. He is 26 years old and showed on saturday why he deserves to main event any shiow in wrestling and i would say he made a certain former lower midcarder with a shit podcast look very stupid. I had Kyle around an 8.5 back when i first wrote this but he is easily a 9.25/10 now and the scary part is i see him becoming the complete package and a 10/10 beofre the end of 2026"

I think the feud with Ospreay, even though he lost, elevated him to a main eventer and the future of the company. I don't know if he'll make it this year, but soon he's going to be World Champion because the future is definitely his. His matches are spectacular, his presence is perfect, he reminds me of a young Randy Orton and honestly, in the ring (if I may) he's even better. One of the main reasons to watch AEW."

If this character continues he has the potential to become one of the biggest heels in wrestling."

[9.0] "Kyle Fletcher is a very good wrestler and a charismatic heel. He can do so much for a guy his size and his strikes and grapples are excellent. and his in-ring mannerisms are unique and fun. He's also good on the mic, and his selling is as good as his execution when he's actually doing it. Only issue is I don't particularly care to watch his matches as the majority of them have no build or storylines. It's as if he's just thrown in the ring to wrestle nonsense matches for no reason. I think what he really needs is to enter some kind of feud with high stakes, maybe against someone who will really make him sell because many of his matches lately have had little to no in ring psychology. That would probably make him more fun to watch."

I thought Aussie Open were one of the best tag teams on the UK scene early in his career, but he never really stood out for me as a singles guy. The work he's put in since moving to the states doesn't go unnoticed. His physique is fantastic, he has a great look and carries himself with real main event level confidence. I think he is a brilliant heel but can easily see him being top babyface somewhere. His in-ring work is excellent, he can hang with the best of them (which is regularly does). Give him a few years and I see this being a 10."

I'm sorry, I wasn't familiar with your game man. Fletcher has been knocking it out the park as a heel. He has a great look and is in the best shape of his carrer physically. He's a good heel as the Ospreay feud really made him hated. The matches with Ospreay and the Trilogy of Excellent matches he had with Mark Briscoe proves that Fletcher is a star for the future. Great talent"

Once he started to do single stuff it was obvious that he had infinite potential, he just needed to find a look and a clear personality and he did that in record time. Probably my favorite wrestler today. Everything he does looks like he is murdering his opponent, just great."

Sure he's solid in the ring & I appreciate the fact that he got very in shape since becoming a singles wrestler. But the area he lacks is in natural charisma. To me, it feels like so much of his push has come thanks to using the rub from Ospreay. And don't get me wrong, getting the rub from a coworker is not a bad thing. But I just don't find that rub paying off in a way that it hopefully might. I also tend to think his matches are overbooked & almost always go too long. This is again, an area that fans in attendance always go crazy for. But it's not always the best for making a complete television show. I also hate his nickname of the "Protostar". It comes off as a dork who's trying too hard to sound cool."

Was amazing in Aussie Open and has really come into his own as a singles guy in ROH and AEW with the absence of Mark Davis. Super athletic for a guy his size, good moveset, and consistently great in the ring. He's still a little lacking on the microphone, but at 25, he still has at least a decade to fully mature as a performer. He seems like a guy who's going to be remembered as this generation's AJ Styles, and I can't wait to see where he goes in a year or two. EDIT 4/28/25: [8.4] He's finally put it all together. Him getting to work heel with the finally good again Don Callis Family has done wonders for him. He's absolutely going to be AEW's top heel of the next generation, and I can think of no one better for the role or more deserving. The sky is truly the limit for Fletcher."

[6.0] "In-ring, he's probably an 8-9, but his character needs some work. So far, he's got a very bland character, who's jealous of his better "older brother." Real original. I don't ever see him working as a babyface. The whiny voice, the punchable face, and the obvious steroid usage in 2025 makes him very unlikable. So hopefully he's able to work on the character part of his game and develop it into something more. He's in a weird position right now where he's getting matches with the best-of-the-best in Will Ospreay, yet he's definitely not at the point where he's ready to surpass guys like Hangman, Swerve, Kenny, Mox, or MJF in terms of being the main attraction. His booking isn't his fault, but I hope it doesn't hurt him. I would be having him dominate ROH instead of being in the mid-card on AEW proper, because I certainly don't think he's ready to take that next step just yet. There are a lot of people ahead of him in line to the top."

Stood out even as a bland babyface in terms of physicality and curious moveset. Few minor niggles character wise, should shut up a bit in ring and not sure how he gets so much mic time as he says little of any interest - that's half the point of being associated with Callis / Cyrus. And the best heels, even good ones, don't have to try so hard. Must be trusted by the other guys as a Tombstone from the apron, Tiger Driver and current turnbuckle Brainbuster finisher leave zero margin for any errors. 8 for now."
