[6.0] "It is weird that someone could be finished so early who's actually a deathmatch specialist "the least skill oriented wrestling genre" just how? The man has been good for YEARS in a match that only needs a bit of creativity"

[4.0] "I've just watched like 8 Tremont matches back to back & every damn one is the same thing. 2 seconds of meaningless brawling? Out come the weapons? Gusset plates for the purpose of drawing a healthy amount of blood out of both participants? An insane amount of glass & light tubes, used well-beyond the point where it means anything? Check, check check & check. Tremont's brawling (& especially his headbutts! ) is never not terrible, & looks much more like it belongs on The Jerry Springer Show than a wrestling match where I'm supposed to buy it as a real fight. People like Bigelow, Roadkill, Vader, or even people like Otis, Keith Lee or Stackhouse have the capability to work with their larger statures to create genuinely physically impressive sequences, & this guy lacks so sorely in that area (an area, mind you, that is vitally important for " what constitutes a wrestler" ) that it's impossible to ignore. He's not devoid of positives; decent at promos, good theme song, very charismatic, big, strong, brave as fuck, willing to take no shortage of disgusting bumps & violence? Sure, no one will ever be able to take that away from him. But I mean fr fr, all this guy knows is bad brawling, swing his light tubes, scream " rwarrr fuck youuu! " at people, be large in stature, eat hot chip & lie."

[10.0] "I can say with absolute certainty that Matt Tremont was and is the terror of any deathmatch wrestler. A truly bloodthirsty and unstoppable force, I love his matches; they're a great combination of endurance and wild spots. He possesses incredible charisma; every time he appears, the crowd goes wild. His level remains excellent; incredibly, he's maintained it over the years considering everything he's accomplished. In CZW, he had my favorite run, where his trick was very simple: he'd come in and destroy everyone. He seemed immune to any blow or punishment. Truly incredible (bonus points because during that time in CZW, he had an incredibly villainous face, which is another reason why it's my favorite run)."

[9.0] "deathmatch wrestling isn't everyones cup of tea. deathmatch wrestling takes the performance art of profesional wrestling and kicks int up to a full 10. as a result some matches your suspension of disbelief is kicked. once people get past that, it'll finally get its proper respect. why describe deathmatch wrestling here? because Matt Treemont IS deathmatch wrestling and everything I put prior describes him and his matches perfect. hes stuck himself on the Rushmore and is looking like no one is kicking him off within his lifetime. id be remiss if I said wear and tear has shown at times as he is in year 18 of this but this mfer has earned and gets a pass. was apart of a great feud in DPW this year as well. legend!"

[3.0] "As is standard in my reviews of these deathmatch guys, if that's all you can do, then you can't do much. His looks is awful though his style of wrestling certainly fits that. I can't deny that he has charisma for the very niche hardcore only crowd and that's worth a few points. I doubt the credibility of any of these guy's trainers because you're only taught the basics. So many of these hardcore/death match guys can do them. If they can, they're intentionally doing it poorly which I find hard to believe. You could pull anyone out of the crowd to swing light tubes and fall on to broken glass. It does take some bravery to do it so that also counts for something."

[9.0] "probably the most decorated deathmatch guy ever, matt tremont is really fucking gold, he's a decent normal wrestler but we don't care about that talking about him of all people, probably the best american deathmatch wrestler that i've seen that isn't names nick mondo, and in my top 5 deathmatch guys in general at probably 3 (ahead of mondo and takeda and behind kasai and onita)"

[9.0] "The new gen deathmatch legend! I also enjoy watching his promotion called H20. Wrestlers doing good brawling is rare to find on the indies but H20 and Matt Tremont are a healthy alternative for some hard hitting contact!"

[7.0] "Matt Tremont is a deathmatch legend. His in-ring skills are fine but would not win any awards for technical wrestling. He is a very good promoter of H20 and his passion for pro wrestling is obvious"

[9.0] "One of the all-time greatest deathmatch workers to have ever done it. Tremont has been able to work with pretty much anyone and everyone and produce something impressive, or memorable, or elevate the person far above their ability or condition at that time would have allowed them to perform. He also has a true passion for wrestling and showed that with the training school he ran and how he wanted the people there to succeed."

[5.0] "I really want to give Tremont a better rating here. I know he's capable of more than a 5. But if I'm basing this on current day? He's fallen by the wayside. I used to get literal goosebumps when he'd step through the curtain. The aura of Tremont is a very real thing. But that's not the case with the new KillDozer character. Don't get me wrong, he can still carry his own in the ring quite well, but there's just something missing. I tried letting the character grow on me, tried getting past the initial shock of the change. But the idea seems half cooked, and just isn't clicking with me. I understand wrestlers have to change to stay fresh. But this felt like a change for the sake of changing. I'm sorry, you're one of my favorites. But I have to give you a 5 for now."

[5.0] "Matt Tremont is a decent deathmatch wrestler. He is NOT a good fundamental wrestler. Everybody will have their niche, but as a deathmatch fan, Tremont is not for me. Tremont's speciality is blood, blood, and more blood. I'd like his matches more if he didn't lumber around as slowly as a jar of molasses."

[9.0] "Tremont is a legend at a young age. While he is most well known for his deathmatch work, he is a much better all around wrestler than most fan probably realize. Anyone that doesnt know this needs to check out more of his work than just his deathmatch stuff."

[5.0] "If anyone tells you that wrestling is easy, show them a photo of Tremont and ask them to guess the age. He is one of the better death match wrestlers in America but that is not saying much as its a scene full of very weak workers."

His passion for the art of deathmatch wrestling is unmatched and you could see it with his dedication to CZW back in the day. He lived and died by the mantra "bleeding yellow and black". Over time he transferred that same love in passion into his own company H2O and began training the next generation of indy stars. You can't just file Tremont under a "deathmatch guy" either! He could cut outstanding promos and his technical still was very underrated. A man who made you believe in everything he said and did, a true icon in the indy & deathmatch wrestling scene."

[9.0] "Everytime I hear Separate Ways by Journey, I see Matt Tremont entering the arena. And when I see Matt Tremont entering the arena, I know it's about to get bloody and violent. He is a true icon of deathmatch wrestling. One of the best american wrestlers of this ultraviolent style. He performed all over the world, shocking audience even in Japan. His style is incredible. Matt is not just going out there, blading himself and selling like crazy. He puts a lot of emotion into every single match, making it look as legit as possible. He is not affraid of taking bumps and doing insane stunts. He sacrificed his body and health for our entertainment. And I respect him for that. Living, breathing deathmatch icon."

Tremont's fire and desire was apparent from the first time I saw him inside a Combat Zone Wrestling ring, but the path of sheer destruction and glory that was to be bulldozed through the years of his reign, remarkable. Tough as hell and cuts a great promo, will render even the most blood thirsty fan in awe of the pure brutality that has come from some of his iconic clashes. Thank you Bulldozer!"

The guy is very giving to the business and is a veteran who has wrestled in many countries, including the US, UK, and Japan. He also owns two businesses: he is the promoter of Hardcore Hustle Organisation (a great deathmatch promotion), and the owner of Bulldozers Collectibles, a shop that sells wrestling merchandise. Tremont is slowing down now, already quitting entering deathmatch tournaments and exiting the Combat Zone, as he seems to be focusing more on his own wrestling promotion."

[10.0] "Tremont is a great guy to put a face on deathmatch wrestling, as he you can tell how much he truly loves all aspects of pro wrestling. Matt almost single-handedly kept Deathmatch wrestling alive from 2011-2015 ish. He cares about being a good wrestler who has good matches AND takes part in incredibly violent and shocking shit. And he's not some blatant pill head or drug addict. Tremont is great. It'll be a sad day when he retires. HAH? ! ? !"
