There is nobody in wrestling who has directly inspired the style of more cruiserweights, and you can see his fingerprints in every corner of wrestling, either from the moves he does or the inspiration of his aesthetics. Every high flyer has studied Dragon Kid, from US & UK indies to Mexican luchadors to joshi wrestlers in Stardom. He's still in ridiculous shape while pushing 50 and can still move better and faster than most wrestlers in their 20s."

[9.0] "The handpicked successor of Ultimo Dragon who impressed in the ring and formed some of the greatest tag teams in Dragon Gate history. A 9 time Triangle Gate, 4 time Brave Gate and current Twin Gate champion in his 4th time still looking ripped at 48 as of the time of writing. From his Dragonrana, Bible and an ungodly amount of handstands, he looks as good as he did back in Toryumon and Michinoku Pro as he does today. His feuds with Masato Yoshino and Darkness Dragon; later known as K-Ness were part of the appeal of the Brave Gate Championship. Dragon Kid teamed with Kzy in his retirement match. While he's currently Twin Gate champion with Naruki Doi, DK never hit the heights of his mentor but will still be sorely missed as an original member of the Dragon Gate roster and part of the better factions; M2K, DO-Fixer and a personal favourite in MaxiMuM."
