[6.0] "Whenever you think of David Arquette, you think of disaster and destruction, but you never think that he was forced to do that (clearly because it was his second job and to fulfill his contract). He is usually always credited with the destruction of the WHC and they are right, but the culprit was Vince Russo, the main booker of WCW, Arquette was simply used to make money, promote the famous (speaking of David) and promote his wrestling movie. But Vince found the worst way to do it, making David champion and using scenery from the movie in WCW programming (the infamous Triple Cage). Let's be honest, if they had offered you to be WCW Champion, would you have turned it down? It's not very easy to refuse (and if you said no, you are a liar, because you thought it over carefully and critically). Arquette cannot be criticized too much, he was simply a wrestling fan (like you or me) who sadly was in the wrong place at the wrong time. With this I'm not looking for you to forgive him or love him, I just want you to see David a little more as an unfortunate fan, who sadly was a public figure (and was close to WCW). The last I heard of him was that he was in a Deathmatch with Nick Gage, many played Gage for his behavior, but it was obvious it was going to happen, David didn't know what Nick was capable of, he just jumped into the lion's den. Arquette is a good example of a wrestling fan who sought to venture into those places, maybe it didn't go very well for him, but he showed a lot of dedication and effort to be in this beautiful world."

And when he did work on the indie scene, it was mostly a really great ride. Arquette has more passion for the business and the fans more than some full-time wrestlers do, which is really impressive honestly. And shout out to him; when he won the WCW World Title, he donated the money to different wrestling families. All-round amazing guy, but as a worker, he gets a 7!"

At that point it had been in meaningless shambles for at least 2 years and anyone else in his position would've done the same thing. The matches he had in his late run weren't all time classics but they were entertaining and I have nothing but respect for that."

"David Arquette's pro wrestling career is nothing short of remarkable and deserves a glowing review for several reasons. While many know him as a successful actor, his foray into the world of professional wrestling showed his dedication, passion, and willingness to put his body on the line for the sport. Here are some of the standout moments and matches from his career that have earned him respect in the wrestling community: David Arquette's WCW Championship Win (2000): One of the most memorable moments in Arquette's wrestling career was when he won the WCW World Heavyweight Championship. While this victory was controversial and criticized by some purists, it added a unique twist to the wrestling world. It showcased Arquette's willingness to fully commit to the sport. Triple Cage Match at WCW Slamboree (2000): Arquette participated in one of the most chaotic and challenging matches in wrestling history, the Triple Cage Match. He teamed up with Diamond Dallas Page and Jeff Jarrett in this high-stakes bout, displaying his fearlessness and determination. Deathmatch with Nick Gage (2020): Arquette's return to professional wrestling in 2020 took a dangerous turn when he faced off against the hardcore legend Nick Gage in a brutal deathmatch. This match demonstrated his dedication and willingness to push his limits for the art of wrestling. Participation in Independent Wrestling: Arquette has also made appearances in various independent wrestling promotions, showing his love for the sport beyond the big stages. His willingness to work in smaller venues and help promote the independent wrestling scene has earned him the respect of many fans. Documentary "You Cannot Kill David Arquette" (2020): Arquette's wrestling journey was the subject of a documentary that shed light on his commitment, the challenges he faced, and the respect he garnered from the wrestling community. This documentary helped people understand the depth of his passion for wrestling. While David Arquette's wrestling career may not be filled with the same accolades as some of the industry's legends, his willingness to step into the ring and his dedication to the sport have made a lasting impression. His matches may not be ranked highly in terms of technical prowess, but they are celebrated for their entertainment value and his willingness to immerse himself fully in the wrestling world. His contributions to the sport will be remembered as a unique and passionate chapter in the world of professional wrestling."

"He shouldn't have been given the title to try to gain attention to WCW. Russo really was trying to make WCW crazy like the WWF's Attitude Era writing that he was doing before going to WCW & it just wasn't WCW's style...but I respect David Arquette for trying to make it up to the fans for that. In fact, just for stepping in the ring with Nick Gage, I think he kind of earned the title after all. It takes serious guts to wrestle Nick Gage with no rules. He wasn't even the worst WCW champion when that title belongs to Vince Russo. The match he was put in to win the title was nonsensical anyway. A tag match for the top singles title? Really? All that being said, I do intend to watch the documentary on him coming back to wrestling. He's not even a decent wrestler but he really loves wrestling & it shows."

[7.0] "David Arquette is one of the better wrestling celebrities. Obviously his booking in WCW was horrible but he was not the booker. His return to pro wrestling showed that he could wrestle putting on some really good matches and putting over the actual talent. Used his star power to get wrestling some more mainstream attention. Serious respect for Arquette for his commitment to the business."

[5.0] "David's run as world champion was a mistake, and Arquette himself admitted it more than once and tried in every possible way to refuse. For many years he was just a joke in the circles of wrestling fans, but after many years he decided to return to the ring, "atone" for his guilt and prove that he can be a serious wrestler. He even show a UV match in his comeback, which deserves respect. He still continues to perform occasionally in small companies, without claiming anything more, and his dedication is impressive."

Thew fact that he became WCW World Heavyweight Champion is a joke, but the man didn't even want to win the title and donated his salary to the families of wounded professional wrestlers. The latter, with the addition of the fact that he actually fought Nick Gage in a deathmatch, make me respect this man greatly. Plus, he's not even that bad in the ring."

Leaving his infamous WCW run aside he wrestles exactly like one would expect an almost 50 year old dude with little experience to wrestle, meaning he's a special attraction at best and extremely underwhelming at best. Not picking on him, but his lack of experience means he hasn't been able to develop a routine that allows him to mask the fact that even in the best shape at 50 one just cannot move around like at 30: he just looks like a very nice but extremely limited person in the ring."

Also he made a one night appearance in WWE in 2010. Thank god I don't remember that. Now he is in the indies. He is not athletic and has no moves. I am surprised that I'm the first to give a zero. Now he has a 0."
