He has churned out some great matches, & his intensity is clearly amazing, but he has carelessly hurt cameramen & fans, & his selecting certain people to only have good matches with indicates that his heart is not in a right place for wrestling. This is a craft wherein anything less than fully self-giving people could very well lead to poor art at best, outright unsafe working conditions at worst. Brock has created both, numerous times."

Brock can be good when he actually wants to work, but that's rare these days, now it's just doing suplexes, F5s, leaves, collects paychecks and dissappears. Like I said, Brock does have good match and has had great segments, but he's title reigns from 2017 - 2022 were the worst and a prime example of why part-time wrestlers should never be champions."

Normally, he was a very boring character). ANGLE: 6 GRUDGE: 3 (Most of his feuds got to the point of channel-change interest) ELOCUTION: 1 (One of the worst speakers to ever be a consistent WrestleMania main event act) That would really be a score of 47.5%, but you have to account for his overall impact and influence, which drops him down to a 3. I truly believe professional wrestling would have been better off if he never got involved in it. His selfishness in his matches and storylines and feuds served to mostly to keep himself over, and he was very poor at creating new stars or elevating opponents. All of that taken into context, and then you consider his involvement with the scummy sex offender Vince McMahon, and his anti-LGBT views and comments shared in national media outlets in the past, and a 3/10 might be very generous. Brock Lesnar has been a poison for wrestling. His greatest value for me was watching him get squashed by Goldberg at Survivor Series 2016."

His entire presentation feels one-dimensional: show up rarely, destroy someone in a few minutes, disappear for months, then repeat. I genuinely don't see what he brings to the table in the big 2026. How is he even still employed..."

Nevertheless, while his wrestling style is extremely basic he does manage to continue to be entertaining at times and when motivated and evidently enjoying himself is pretty fun to watch."

But do his in-ring skills justify such a grade? Then again, should we even demand acrobatics and technical wrestling from this type of character?"

[4.0] "If we're talking about 2002-2003 Brock Lesnar, this is like a 9/10. He did so much good stuff during that time on Smackdown that was must-watch. That being said, he has been insufferable to watch for over a decade now, not even factoring in the lawsuit he's currently a part of. The entire 4 points he gets comes from his early 2000s run and not the trash he's pumped out since. I still can't believe the amount that WWE commits to this guy."
Rassle Fan wrote on 12.12.2025:
[2.0] "He's talented in the ring, I don't think there's any doubt about that. When he wants to he can have a great match that has more than two moves. That's just the problem, I see him as being lazy unless he's properly motivated. No one should be allowed to get away with that attitude. What he could never do is cut a promo. He might have a funny moment or two but he's not articulate at all. There's nothing wrong with having a manager do your talking that's what they're there for but Paul Heyman has been saying the same thing for 15 years. Most of his matches after 2015 were signature and finishers for a couple of minutes. AJ Styles, Daniel Bryan, Samoa Joe and Seth Rollins are the only exceptions."

[9.0] "Brock is an interesting character to evaluate. Obviously recently controversies linger over him, but I'm more interested in evaluating the wrestler in this instance. Arguably the freakiest athlete to ever step foot in a wrestling ring, he was box office the minute he showed up. Massive and explosive in his 6'3" 290 pound frame with an NCAA wrestling background to build on, there's no one like him, let alone that can move like him. His early career is fantastic, and sometimes I wish we could've seen what would have happened had he not gone to UFC. The 60-minute Ironman with Kurt Angle is an all timer and maybe the best Smackdown match of all time. His finisher is pretty unique, and one of my favorites. Upon his return from UFC, he was booked as an absolute monster. His part time nature as champion bothered a lot of people and I get that. Some of the squashes he was booked in and the way they were sequenced could admittedly be boring. But during that run we saw what could happen if someone pushed him to be great in a match. He has great work with Styles, Rollins, Cena, Roman, Danielson (Daniel Bryan), and Punk during that run which showed how capable he always has been when given the space to perform and not just smash things. Undoubtedly one of the best of his generation. Hoping his final run here allows him to put some guys like Gunther, Bron Breakker, Oba Femi, Bronson Reed, and/or Jacob Fatu over while hopefully having enough left in the tank to make those matches good."

[8.0] "I understand that his rating is going to be heavily influenced by his recent controversy however as a wrestler he is good, he has always been argumatively underrated and very underrated on selling. It was always smart to give him Paul Heyman as a mouthpiece as his promos were nearly as worse as Ricochet. You may like him or hate him but when that theme plays the crowd absolutely love it - always good crowd interaction."
naydn wrote on 16.10.2025:
[6.0] "He is an interesting figure in wrestling. He looks like the perfect wrestler, but then he gets on the mic or in the ring. Even putting the controversy and despicable actions outside of the shows aside, he's just not all that consistent. Some matches he puts on a CLINIC, some matches he looks like the true beast version of his gimmick, and then.... some matches he just doesn't deliver. Most recently his Cena match was awful, a 9 minute 'squash' match, rated 2.25 as of writing this. He doesn't often sell very well, he doesn't have the best match psychology or story telling. He really just takes advantage of his enormous and unique physique and takes his gimmick of this unstoppable, indestructible, truly powerful BEAST, and he does not nor can he do anything more. He has aura and recent teases of him and Paul reuniting is undeniably exciting, but I think we would all prefer he just stay away from the industry, his time has passed and his legacy has been disgraced by his own actions. My rating is giving him the benefit of the doubt."

[9.0] "I am only going to talk about his wrestling career, ignoring whatever controversies he's part of outside of in real life. I've pretty much seen all of Lesnar's WWE matches, and he is genuinely one of the most entertaining wrestlers ever. I've had so much fun watching his matches, especially against smaller wrestlers. There's just something about watching Lesnar, that no other wrestler can match. He is genuinely one of the most terrifying wrestlers in the ring, without even doing any crazy shenanigans. I haven't given him 10 points though as he can be inconsistent, and hard to watch when he doesn't care. Also, his character has pretty much remained the same throughout, with very minor changes, and he has basically been a part-timer for like 13 years. He was unbearable at one point as the Universal Champion, and he should remain away from Championship feuds now."

[10.0] "The most unique attraction in pro wrestling history. One of its most controversial figures as well, and as far as I'm concerned, one of the absolute best to ever do it. His first run and that meteoric rise as that legit yet relatively bland monster heel with freakish athleticism was certainly impressive considering his lack of experience at the time. Whether it was brutal squash matches or classics with the likes of Taker, Angle, Benoit and Eddie, he was the real deal. But that second run, while highly polarizing, definitely produced some magic. The man returned with a different kind of aura; with UFC gold on his resume, which is a behemoth of an accomplishment! This instantly made Brock the most credible ass-kicker in pro wrestling history. He became synonymous with raw violence, unprecedented credibility and dominance. Some hate him for holding world titles and barely showing up, some for ending "The Streak", others for squashing and "burying" Cena and Kofi most notably. It's all booking! And if that's your problem with Brock, then don't hate the player, hate the game. Brock was buried himself by Goldberg (and Lashley), and he also put Drew, Roman, Seth and Cody over. To me, Brock might be the most unique and most fascinating performer ever. That beast mode of his is something else entirely; those methodical beatings, his explosive offense, ridiculous strength, blazing speed and overall elite athleticism are a sight to behold. And it's not just his offense, Brock is one of the greatest sellers ever! He might be infamous for his (great) no-selling as that unbeatable beast, but he can also make others look like a million bucks by bumping his ass off like only a few can! And as a matter of fact, Brock's catalogue of classic matches is one of the very best in WWE history. Sure, he has a few stinkers, but honestly, the booking is to blame for most of them. Some will sh*t on his promo skills (maybe his only weakness) and say he has no charisma when the man's sheer presence is the definition of aura. On top of that, Brock can also be comedy gold and a whole lotta fun when he's let loose, and his iconic duo with Paul Heyman only elevated him as that special attraction. Brock is simply unprecedented and one of my favorites ever; the ultimate berserker."

I was there not too long ago in person when he returned at Summerslam and the dude just had this aura about him. Despite all the controversy, he got the loudest pop of the night. Anyways, just looking back at his career a bit, dude was so undeniable Vince literally put the UNDISPUTED title on him like 5 months into his first run. Had him go over ROCKY! Made Hogan look silly! He bullied Stone Cold out of the company! Beat Roman and Randy Orton to bloody pulps! Cena's only beaten him clean once! Brock brings such legitimacy to the ring every time he enters. One of the few guys left that actually feels like a legit badass (because he actually is). The F5 is one of the most iconic finishers ever, and watching him do it to goliaths like Big Show and Omos never fails to amaze me. The Ruthless Aggression era feud against Angle is one of my favorites of all time as well, giving us all-time bangers like the Wrestlemania and Iron Man matches. Also have to shout out the Eddie, '02 Undertaker HIAC, AJ Styles and CM Punk (even though I don't like him) matches as well, legendary barn-burners. Welcome back Brock, we all missed you."

Botches and straight up weirdo behavior Brock is someone who is not the best on the mic or in the ring despite being treated like an untouchable god sent from heaven above (we know why that was now and its absolutely disgusting), his gimmicks and personas (if you could even call them that) over the years are so basic and half assed. Another thing is him burying SO MUCH talent, and i dont think it's unpopular to say thats really never fun to watch. On his most recent run he was probably the most boring and uninteresting hes ever been. I really hope hes never brought back but im sure I'll be disappointed. Hes been apart of a few great matches but his weirdo behavior and overall mediocrity is why im rating him this low. *Re-uploaded from October 2024*"

[2.0] "Brock Lesnar has coasted on reputation and spectacle for most of his career. Yes, he is a physical freak, but that only gets you so far when the performances are lazy, predictable, and rely on the same tired formula of suplexes and short matches. His entire presence feels like a business decision instead of a professional wrestling career. He shows up when the money is right, holds titles hostage, and stalls momentum for actual full-time talent. Promos have never been his strong suit. For years, someone else had to speak for him because he lacked presence on the mic. Even when he started talking more, nothing meaningful came out of it. He rarely adds emotion or weight to a feud. You get a few weeks of snarling, some repetition, and then a forgettable match where nobody gets elevated. And he was named in the Janel Grant lawsuit. That detail is important. Being tied to something that serious cannot be brushed aside. It raises questions not only about his place in the industry but about how much damage has been done by enabling his star power. Brock Lesnar may have drawn money, but he gave almost nothing back to the business. It is hard to celebrate someone whose legacy is built on dominance and detachment. I'll never understand the appeal of seeing him or Goldberg come in for squash matches"

Oh and yes Special Ed is the most unintimidating person in real life, a supposed tough guy but I think cash helps his false aspirations to have a real dream job headlining the superbowl or cattle rustling. Theres nothing wrong being an introvert or not a people person. But since 2001 there have been stories after stories after stories of him being a jerk unwarranted. He needs to go away forever because deep down, he is no good to live on planet earth after he quit wrestling back in 2004. 2006 he was a black eye on wrestling or puroresu, refusing to do the simple business required to lose the title regardless of money. 2009 where his own body given up on his piteous mass in physical attributes. 2012 felt like lifetimes ago, 2014 felt like yesterday, 2016 felt terrible and ever since we all just wanted him to go away for good. Where he has lacked is the fans seem to reject him for much of his career leading to him leaving WWE the first time and him being hated in the second run. Brock never cared about pro wresling all he always wanted was the attention to show himself as the alpha male powerful crap. He only came to wresling because he was a failure in any other place. Then it later became clear how problematic and pain on the neck was during backstage of OVW as Jim Cornette said that he never respected people below him. He is lucky that Vince had a kink for "Big dudes" and as WCW went away he felt now there is no competition he can do whatever he wants to so overpushes after overpushes. Like how is it supposed to make sense that someone who has debuted out of nowhere goes straight up for the world title? How easily he wins KotR and RR? There is only one reason and thats simply Vince having his kink for him. If it wasn't for Vince Brock would have been nothing. Absolutely nothing. And he was lucky that when he went to Japan Inuki also had the same kink so another world title run that doesn't make sense. The what is it out there. Oh wait he was UFC champion right? Well if i had the same amount of steroids in my body as him id have been a ufc champion myself besides yes there even was favoritism from Dana white towards him for title shots while other fighters with far better records at the time were being overlooked. After he got humbled by Cain Velasquez and the fact that UFC was getting serious with rules towards Steroids he ran back to his butt kisser Vince. And it was here that we saw how fragile his ego was pretty much destroying all young and up and coming talents for his own ego like how dose it make sense that he broke the Undertakers streak? To create a monster? Wasnt he already built as a monster? Wasn't Vince bragging about his UFC carrier all along? Things got worse at late 2010s and 2020s just worse its clear the dose this to boost his fragile ego and he never cared about prowrestling as mentioned by Jon Moxley after his Departure from WWE in 2019 for their wreslmania match. His universal title reign is torture and lazy, and his matches are literally in same formula. From when he debuted in 2002, the same year he won the WWE Championship and had one of the best rookie year for any pro wrestler to 2023, when he fought against Cody Rhodes at SummerSlam, he always looked the part. Let's just gloss over his promo ability and thank the lord that Paul Heyman was doing the talking for him. Brock excelled in terms of being a draw and was the big box office star even in UFC. Now, from 2002 to lets say 2014-15, he had a list of great matches with various talents like Angle, Benoit, Cena , Punk, Rollins , Samoa Joe etc. Almost everything after that is hit or miss sadly. Brock stopped caring and his matches became expected squashes unless he was paired with someone he considered important. Brock Lesnar was on route to have a career worthy of being one of the greatest but thanks to his own actions, that distinction seems far fetched now."

This guy was at the centerpiece of some of the worst Vince McMahon booking decisions in WWE history, which while arguably unfair to him, still is held up by the fact that this guy has had so many stinkers in big matches, which also doesn't help because this guy is the definition of a part-timer. 1, 156 days and 7 reigns as champion since his return to WWE and he only had 26 title matches... in the span of over three years total as champion. It certainly knocks him down a bit to see how little he cared about wrestling, and what he was given in return."

[6.0] "I seriously liked Brock in the Ruthless Agression era. My favorite era of WWE. His rivalry with Kurt being his peak. Insane athleticism in his selling and jumps, brawler powerhouse style enhanced by his sheer physicality and strength, made believable by actual feats, had a far larger set of moves, and the intimidating looks. He showed all of this and most importantly that he cared and really tried his best. Until he didn't. And this is my problem. 2 years later Lesnar didn't take wrestling seriously anymore. He became safer, didn't take risks (I'm not asking for more shooting star presses even though he could do it lol), left the company in bad terms for legal reasons, looked for a job in american football, his japanese run was a fiasco and his return to WWE in the past decade became more dull compared to what we know he could do. Now all he did was german suplexes and F5 besides the brawling. Contrary to popular belief, I don't think having a background and being a great catch/freestyle/amateur/real wrestler automatically makes you a technical pro-wrestler. And Brock definetely isn't, and never was. But he sure is a great athlete, and he could be visually entertaining. His selling and the way he moved and carried himself on the ring were still there kind of, but every post MMA Lesnar match I've seen is literally the same. Lift you up when the bell rings to the corner, shoulder tackles, german suplexes and maybe a little other thing until we start spamming finishers or finish bait. He was never a master of execution and storytelling but he was visually entertaining, dedicated and sharp, and tried more holds, slams, and variety of suplexes back then. Now he's just boring. He drew because of UFC, sure. I still never looked forward to another boring Brock Lesnar squash slop. Nevermind a long overextended match with him on it. And I understand, why try when Vince will just throw millions at you either way? He's too highly regarded in my opinion when he only wrestled decently for like less than 2 years. Modern Lesnar is not much better than Goldberg who ironically can't get a break from these wrestling circles even though they share much of the same qualities. In retrospect, sure, Lesnar might have let himself get carried in his Kurt Angle and other better wrestlers best matches, but he was still a unique force that tried to impresse you in the ring and did, regardless of the opponent. Without gassing out. Nowadays he can't even get carried and if paired with wrong wrestlers it becomes abysmal dogshit. So, since his first period isn't even a considerable percentage of his career nor why he is remembered the most today, a 5-6. should be most appropriate. Solid 7-8 if his 2002-2003 stunt is what I'm raiting."

He gets handed main events and titles whenever he feels like wrestling. Personally, Brock Lesnar doesn't move the needle for me at all. There's nothing exciting about him and I'm never compelled to watch a match with him unless it was with someone who I really liked, which never happens. The past decade of matches with roman to me is just a blur of boring uncompelling storylines that you would have to pay me to care about."

Brock has phoned it in many times, while his status as a part time world champion has set an absolutely horrible precedent that actively stalled WWE's own greatness in the 2010's. A part-timer should NEVER be a champion, as it defeats the whole idea of a champion. I realize this is on Vince too, but Brock took absolute advantage of what Vince allowed him to do or not do. For every fantastic match Brock had, he had 10 horrible matches. I award "10s" to those who move the artform forward. Brock has done the opposite of move it forward. He should be one of the greatest ever, but for me, he's just wasted potential."

Sucks as a wrestler, is like a 44 Magnum, lots of flash, disappointing results. Is a creep inside and outside the ring. Never put nobody over, ruined Kofi Kingston title (let's be honest, a 7 second match? disgusting). I hated this guy so much every time he was on TV I changed the channel. Also a terrible worker, super stiff, unsafe, thought he was in a MMA octogon sometimes. The fact that he's currently employed by the WWE is super weird, I hope he never comes back anywhere close to the big stage, wrestling is better without a dangerous, creepy part-timer like him, he's not worthy of this stage."

That being said, can be a mixed bag, as he's known to mail it in from time to time. Pre 2004 he was legitmately a great worker, and could have reached Kurt Angle levels had he stuck around, but after coming back from his UFC stint he never put as much effort in as he did before"

His wrestling style is extremely repetitive, literally the same thing over and over. His matches always have like 69420 suplex every time, and most of them are just him being over-dominant, making the opponent look weak. On the mic, he's always been absolutely awful, incredibly uncharismatic, and boring, he would have been nothing without Paul Heyman. Without someone else carrying his promos, he's left with awkward, uninspired delivery that does nothing to elevate his feuds. WWE pushing him as an unstoppable force for years has only made it worse, as his part-time status meant he would pop in, squash full-time talent, and disappear again. He's a reason why the product was stale between 2017 and 2019, especially when he held titles hostage for months without defending them."

I think his prime was when he was young circa 2002, but since his return in the 2010s, i haven't been that impressed or pleased with what he did. His 2012-2015 run was good, he acted like a legitimate beast and true wrestler, and had many great matches. Second half was just him squashing everyone for no reason, so that he won't get injured and can go to UFC. His multiples reigns as universal champion are definitely a black spot in his career, and in the company history."

[0.0] "Absolutely not a fan of Brock Lesnar, and I never have been. First and foremost, I can't support someone who has been involved in a federal case related to SA/SH--that alone is enough for me to want nothing to do with him. Beyond that, I've never understood the hype surrounding him as a performer. While many fans praise his physical dominance, I find his wrestling style to be one-dimensional, repetitive, and lacking in any real depth. His matches rely heavily on suplex after suplex, with little variation or storytelling, making them predictable and often boring to watch. On the mic, he's always been absolutely awful--zero charisma, no real ability to engage an audience, and a complete reliance on managers like Paul Heyman to speak for him. Without someone else carrying his promos, he's left with awkward, uninspired delivery that does nothing to elevate his feuds. WWE pushing him as an unstoppable force for years has only made it worse, as his part-time status meant he would pop in, squash full-time talent, and disappear again. It made the product feel stale and frustrating, especially when he held titles hostage for months without defending them. Easy 0/10 from me."

I like his first run in WWE a lot, big fan of his matches vs Kurt. But his 2nd run left a poor taste in my mouth because he just got handed everything he wanted despite lackluster performances in 7/10 of the matches he would do yearly. I understand that's how the industry works and I'm probably hating too much but i feel a lot of talent got buried in favor of him & Roman during the 2010's but at least with Roman i can understand why, Brock didn't deliver and didn't have tons of young promise to him at that point. Also i find him very one-dimensional in the ring and he's really only capable of like 8 moves, on-top of the fact he his HORRID outside of the ring."

His outside the ring performance is terrible, always in desperate need of being carried by others. And his in-ring skills are marginally ahead of that. Suplex here, F5 there, here's your victory, see you in three months. The few matches of him that I've enjoyed, much like his promo work, was heavily carried by his opponent(s). Overrated doesn't even begin to describe his work beyond his first couple of years in WWE."

Brock Lesnar was certainly a great professional wrestler and did surprisingly well at American Football (NFL) and even better in the UFC where he became a champion; It's a no wonder why he is incredibly talented. His return to WWE in 2012 was good and it was good up until 2017 where he became a part-time champion and held the championship for WAY too long, his return welcome had felt worn out by the time and he became boring to watch in the ring, It didn't help that he grew 'Go-Away' heat with many people. Brock started to become popular again in recent years and did put the most over guy in the company over in 2023 (you know who I'm talking about! ), but ultimately, his future career is up in the air following some controversial lawsuit. Regardless of the lawsuit outcome, I will still give Brock Lesnar a score and if you're asking me, I think a 7 is the highest I can go. He's very talented in terms of athleticism, but he really wore out his return from 2012 in a bad way."
