"I know what people say about her in-ring work, but unfortunately the WWE didn't even value that back then. Ashley brough a cool vibe, that punk rocker, and was super over. Knowing now what she went through, I can't even think about everything she did in the company and can only think about how unfair it is that she had to deal with what she did. RIP"

Now I know this might be a little bias but I love Ashley Massaro, as a wrestler, she was mediocre at best and she was never going to be another Trish Stratus or Mickie James but I was a fan. I liked her whole punk/dirty rocker aesthetic and her finisher was pretty cool. She also has to get some points for having probably the best theme song ever. Ashley was a unique presence in the roster of divas back in the mid 2000s."

"Impossible to review, even more so than ever due to her story coming back up in relation to the Vince McMahon allegations. She didn't deserve to go through any of the awful shit that she did throughout her career and after it. Rest in peace, Ashley."

"Another tragedy that didn't need to die as young as she did. She had a unique look and style. She was someone who could have easily been another Lita just based on her looks but she was someone who was practically forced into the spotlight without any time to learn the fundamentals or the basics of wrestling. She won the 2005 Diva Search, I remember the competition vividly and it's not hard to imagine why she won it, she was someone who like i said, had a unique look, was fun and charismatic. Once she won the thing, she was shoved on TV with no training, she looked completely lost and was ill prepared to take the bumps that came with being a pro wrestler. That's not on her though, WWE knew this and did it anyway when they should have sent her down to OVW or Deep South so she could receive the proper training she needed. She was immediately moved into a feud with Torrie Wilson, Victoria and Candice Michelle and partnered alot with Trish Stratus, who was clearly trying to train her on the fly to compensate for the lack of training she received from the company. She was also inserted into Trish's feud with Mickie James before eventually moving over to Smackdown where she did find success as a manager for Paul London and Brian Kendrick. It was a role that suited her really well and I wish they would have kept her in that instead of trying to make her into an in-ring worker when she clearly had no business being there. Overall, Ashley is an incredibly tragic tale who was a victim of the dark side of the ring and I hope she receives some well deserved justice for those who wronged her and took advantage of her. RIP Ashley"

[8.0] "I think most of people are being kind of unfair with Ashley, yeah she was not very good at wrestling, but not terrible and always tried and could do some basic moves like the "tilt a whirl headscissors", "hurricanrana", "spear", "diving crossbody", even her finisher was pretty good for a rookie, "Starstruck", a "diving elbow drop from the second rope". There was also one move she did on a tag team match with Trish vs Vince's Devils, an "springboard double axe handle" that looked amazing. She was not there just to be a pretty face even though that was the reason why WWE contracted her, she received pretty good bumps as well, her first match against Victoria was vicious, Jillian Hall always wanted to destroy the hell out of her while wrestling, and remember that time when Mickie James performed her "long kiss goodnight kick" on her that almost looked like it broke her jaw... She also had a look that stand out from the rest of her contemporary fellow female wrestlers, good selling cause it really looked like if she was in real pain while wrestling, and passable mic skills. If WWE just had sent her to their then developmental systems "Deep South Wrestling", "Ohio Valley Wrestling", or "Florida Championship Wrestling", instead of have thrown her to the wolves without any training, I believe she could have turned out to be a better performer cause she had the spirit to be a wrestler, is just that she was on the wrong time and era."

RIP Ashley Massaro :("

Okay on the mic but very injury prone and bad in the ring, once again, due to being put in the ring way too fast. However, the way they handled her run in WWE was terrible, especially what happened at Tribute To The Troops in that they covered up sexual assault, and unfortunately that resulted in suicide. RIP."

[8.0] "Ashley Massaro was nowhere near the best. That being said, as a young girl watching WWE during a time it was geared towards 20-30 year old men, her and Lita were my favorite wrestlers. Ashley was great on the mic (as proven by her future career of being a radio host) and she had a few decent moves. I will always remember her spirit, her soul, and how you could see that she was doing it all for her daughter. Massaro remains my favorite female wrestler of all time, and she is sorely missed. RIP."

[10.0] "Ashley is massively over hated in general, which is a shame because the hate she received was not her fault, and should have been hurled at the people who failed to train her as a wrestler. For someone with very little experience she was an okay worker, she could do hurricanrana's, and her selling was pretty decent too. She had a unique look that allowed her to stand out from the other women of the time. She had a fun personality as well and she played a pivotal role in one of the best women's storylines ever in Trish VS Mickie. It's a shame we lost her so young. Super underrated."

[8.0] "I will always support Ashley Massaro. Whenever someone trashes her in-ring, it's important to remind everyone that Ashley wanted to be trained to wrestle, but wasn't. Despite being picked off the glorified model pageant that was the Diva Search, she was enthusiastic about this whole professional wrestling thing and wanted to learn. Instead, WWE only gave her the moves she was scripted to do on a per-match basis, and even treated training her in those as an afterthought. The fact that she was able to do what she did, and got over in a way that she did, despite that, is worth this rating alone. On top of that, through her WWE work as well as her work after wrestling as a radio hostess, she proved herself to have quite an entertaining personality. If WWE had actually listened to her and properly inducted her into the business, they could have had another Trish Stratus. As it stands though, they didn't, and thanks to the trouble she received after her release (as well as the Kuwait incident... ) they have blood on their hands for her early death. Put simply, Ashley Massaro deserved better."

She will always be fondly remembered by me, and others who voted for her to win the Diva Search. I respect her for trying to improve and going against the grain."

The moves she had were average but not exciting. She gets 7 because she was a great valet for only a short time. Imagine if she was more of a valet and could have been like Ms. Elizabeth. Sad that she died very young. Such as beautiful woman! RIP Ashley!"

It was an embarrassment. To Ashley's credit, she was not the absolute worst of the bunch and at least she was a little memorable due to having a sort of skater-punk vibe. She was not good in the ring, but I've seen worse."

Like most other female wrestler of her era, Massaro's wrestling skills were severely lacking, but she did have a hell of a lot of upside. She was actually great as Paul London & Brian Kendrick's valet, and she would have flourished if she stayed in the role of manager, but unfortunately, she was definitely not ready to be a bonafide wrestler due to her lack of training. This lady had so much potential if she just had a little more training under her belt, but unfortunately WWE pulled the trigger way too early, as they are often guilty of doing. Rest In Peace Ashley, you will be missed."

Didn't really seem interesting in improving either. How she ended up winning more matches than she lost is a mystery to me Did not contribute much so not getting much of a rating."

In the ring, she was clearly not ready for prime time, and injury-prone to boot; outside the ring - unlike her Diva Search predecessor Christy Hemme - she didn't have the natural charisma nor the drive toward continued improvement to make up for it. Her biggest contribution may have simply been the publicity WWE garnered via her appearance in Playboy magazine."

[0.0] "Ashley Massaro is one of the worst, if not the actual worst WWE Diva to ever be under contract. She first rose to fame during her stint as a Diva Search contestant, which she went on to win. Why did she win? Her alleged background in amateur wrestling and punk rock Avril Lavigne-esque style. I was not surprised by the time she was put inside the ring to work with women like Torrie Wilson and Candice Michelle, to see that she was barely even a wrestler. Ashley stumbled her way to the ring for a few months before becoming injured, not the first time it would happen. Ashley Massaro looked like she could barely stand still, let alone wrestle an actual match that lasted for more than one minute."

Ashley Massaro wouldn't show any progression, character development and had the tendency of wrestling only three times and then disappearing with "injuries" and not wrestling again for another three months. I love Avril Lavigne and I don't care if her character resembled her being Avril Lavigne. Massaro was garbage through and through, and what else should be said here has been said already."
