Babyface Al had you behind him 100%, because he gave his ALL and often came out a winner clean or could hold his own with time limit draws against the likes of Ric Flair & The Great Kabuki. When he was heel, you loved to hate on him: Damnit Al, why can't you go back to your clean cut ways? ! You wanted Al to see the light once again, and when he did - you loved to welcome him back with open arms. Al cut out quite the career for himself with a unique charisma, and mic skills strong enough that while in Portland he hosted his own Piper's Pit style segment "The Fiesta Garden". His Texas career is legendary and earned him a spot in my heart forever. A great looking guy too - so I kinda wanna kick him in the shins for scarring up his noggin' so harshly! ...however, he had the worst figure four leg lock this side of Dusty Rhodes; who the hell taught him THAT? ! ? !"

"Great babyface, over like grover in WCCW. Fun to watch and was a terrific face. And who doesn't love a really good figure 4 arm bar? Held the NWA Junior Heavyweight title in '78/'79 for 398 days. He was stripped of it due to injury and it wouldn't be until 2006 that anyone would have as long a reign with that belt again."
