[4.0] "Did okay as a partner to Tanaka in the Orient Express but he didn't last the year as Sato decided to work in the front office instead they brought in Kato as a replacement. Kato was of course, Paul Diamond who was partners with Tanaka before going to the WWF and the Tanaka/Kato team was probably better."

"The man had a job to do in his most famous run for the WWF, and he did it. The rating he has here may or may not be fair for that Akio Sato. But while I'm not going to give him a rating at this time I do want to leave a comment that recognizes how important he was to All Japan Pro Wrestling in the early 1980s, which is not widely known in the West. He was their booker from late 1981 through the end of 1984, worked as co-interpreter with Joe Higuchi, and did a hell of a lot more to mentor and guide the young talent than anyone in that deeply hierarchical company had to that point. Misawa and Koshinaka both spoke very highly of him."

[6.0] "A very solid hand could really work the ring, he was lacking in charisma. He was very good as a tag wrestler, definitely his specialty."
