They had a pretty back and forth contest with Mante relying on a lot of bigger and riskier moves to gain the advantage. Kaito is not going to take many more losses the rest of the way and they made the right call with this being one of them and maybe the only."

Especially for Mante, who relies on that leg strength for all of his big moves. Some real good stuff in here though, the Frankensteiner spot in particular was fantastic."

[3.0] "I thought this was pretty bad. All the limb work was dropped, Kaito was no selling piledrivers, and there was way too many kickouts. The match was boring even before it got too ridiculous. Because of that, an upset win that could've been a shock was more of a "Kaito Lost, I guess." Still looking forward to Mante's shorter matches, I think those could be great. 1.5 Stars."

Kaito is still one of the best in Japan and he was no different in this match, getting the crowd behind him with ease and making his opponent look like a star too."

The match was very competitive with Mante hitting some really nice original moves and Kaito hitting one of his best standing shining wizards I've seen as well as that great hurricanrana reversal. A good main event for night one of the tournament, setting up a good story going forward with Mante pinning the champion."
